Obituary:
Robert 'Hap' Hoolihan AppletonAge 82, passed away Friday, January 26, 2001, at Encore Senior Villa. He w as born October 12, 1918, son of the late Michael and Josephine (Wolf) Hoo lihan. Hap married Elizabeth Fose on November 12, 1966, and she preceded h im in death on June 9, 1995. He graduated from Appleton High School and w as a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church. Over the years, he had be en employed by the Sylvester and Nielsen Office Supply Company, Langsta dt Electric and the Chicago & NorthWestern Railroad from which he retir ed after 28 years of service. Hap was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing, c an crushing, going to Packer games and watching them on the televisio n. He was a member of the Elks, the American Legion and the Railroad Train men Brotherhood. Hap also served in the Marine Corps 5th Division from whi ch he was Honorably Discharged as a Staff Sergeant.
He is survived by his sister, Lucille M. Hoolihan of Appleton; his two sis ters-in-law and brother-in-law, Marilyn Weyenberg of Appleton; Dorothy a nd John Rath of West Allis. He will also be missed by several nieces, neph ews, cousins and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Carl and Marie F ose; brothers in law, Carlton Fose and Robert Weyenberg.
The Liturgy Service will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2001, at ST. B ERNARD'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1617 West Pine Street, with Fr. John Bergstadt o fficiating. Friends may call directly at Church Tuesday morning from 9 a. m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemeter y.
A memorial has been established.
