    Obituary:
Demerath, Peter J., Peter, 80, Darboy, died peacefully on Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at home. He was born May 29, 1929, in Grand Chute, Wis., son of the late Frank B. and Anna M. (Koestler) Demerath. On Nov. 11, 1950, Peter married Germaine Jansen in Little Chute, Wis. The couple enjoyed almost 60 years of marriage together. He was a member of the National Guard and Army Reserves, serving for 14 years. At age 17, Peter began his career with Kimberly-Clark in Kimberly, retiring at age 60 after 43 years of service. Peter was a devoted Catholic, praying the rosary daily. Christian values were the first priority to Pete and Gerry, instilling these in their children with their education at Holy Name Grade School. They always welcomed friends into their home. As a member of Holy Name Parish, he served on the Church Council. He later joined St. Paul Catholic Church, Combined Locks. Pete supported his children's participation in Scouts and was Cub Scout Chairman and Cub Master for Pack 69 in Kimberly. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping, theater, and watching sports, especially the Packers. His garden always provided the family with vegetables. Dad and Mom made the best tomato juice. He loved to travel with family and friends. After retirement, he shared many good times with special friends, Ron and Zona Weyenberg. Peter especially enjoyed time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He looked forward to family gatherings, especially his birthday celebration over Memorial Day Weekend, the liver and onions/cribbage tournament on Labor Day Weekend, and Santa Claus' visit December 23rd. Peter loved to play cribbage and Yahtzee. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Also thanks to all our family, friends, co-workers and the Koinonia community for their prayers.
