Obituary:
Dolores Lopas, of Menasha, age 80 years, died on Wednesday, October 17, 2007, at the Appleton Medical Center. She was born October 19, 1926, in Kaukauna, the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Henrietta (Micke) Mischler. Dolores was employed in the deli at the Piggly Wiggly, Menasha, and retired at the age of 80 years. She raised her four children and enjoyed making quilts and blankets for her family members.
Dolores was an avid collector of hats and pins. She was an active member of the Fox Valley Rainbow Club.
She is survived by her children: Robert (Julie) Lopas, Oshkosh; Steve "Pete" Lopas, Menasha and Christine Lopas, Appleton; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Dolores is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Lopas; her son, James A. "Chuck" Lopas; and sister, Ceil Ryba.
The funeral service for Dolores will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 21, 2007, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.

Obituary:
James A. "Charlie" Lopas, age 54, died unexpectedly, Thursday afternoon, July 28, 2005. He was born July 14, 1951, to James W. and Dolores I. (Mischler) Lopas, in Manitowoc and moved to Appleton as a young child. In the late 1970s Charlie began his career as a sound and lighting engineer for various bands, where he traveled throughout the country. In 1991 he moved to Menasha where he continued his profession.
He is survived by his mother, Dolores I. (Mischler) Lopas, Menasha; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Robert P. and Julie Lopas and their children, Oshkosh; Steven J. Lopas, Menasha; a sister, Christine L. Lopas, Appleton; aunts, an uncle and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, James W. Lopas, March 4, 1999.
A memorial service for James will be held at 12 p.m. (noon), Tuesday, August 2, 2005, at the funeral home, with Deacon Pete Reinl officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
