    Wolfinger, ElizabethElizabeth Wolfinger, age 80, of Appleton, passed away on Saturday, Februa ry 26, 2005, at Oakridge Gardens Care Center after a long illness. She w as born on April 6, 1924, in Kimberly, the daughter of the late Martin a nd Elizabeth (Smaxwell) Van Heeswyk. Elizabeth was a kind and gentle so ul who was loved by everyone who knew her, especially her family.She is survived by her children: Carl and a very special daughter-in-la w, Marilyn, of Kimberly, Elizabeth Van Dyke of Green Bay, Rose Klaub er of Appleton, Rob Wolfinger, her dear son and partner for puzzles and co mpanionship who lived with her at home, Shirley Wolfinger, her special angel who cared for her for years at home until her heart attack and residen cy at Oak Ridge Gardens; her grandchildren: Shane (Amy) Wolfinger of Wauke sha, Karlyn, her loving private nurse, (Tim) Raddatz of Appleton, Chris V an Dyke of Green Bay, Heather (Ryan) Bartel of Sun Prairie, Jon Van Dy ke of Green Bay, Norbert (Sonia) Klauber of Stevens Point, Lily (Adam) Gor don of Sheboygan; her great-grandchildren: Ethan Wolfinger, Parker Raddat z, Rachael and Paul Van Dyke, Austin and Spencer Bartel, Nicholas Klaub er and Olivia Gordon; her brothers and sisters: Ann Dollevoet of Kimberl y, John (Jackie) Van Heeswyk of Appleton, Martin Van Heeswyk of Florida, R obert (Audrey) Van Heeswyk of Combined Locks, and Pat Brown of Kaukauna; n umerous nieces and nephews and her former husband, Carl and his wife, Jan.She is preceded in death by a son in infancy, a sister, Mary (Marvin) Effe rtz, her brothers-in-law: Bart Dollevoet, and David Brown, Sr., a sister-i n-law, Lou Van Heeswyk, two nephews: David Brown, Jr., and Mark Van Heeswy k.A memorial service for Elizabeth will be conducted on Wednesday, Mar ch 9, 2005, at 11:30 AM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2331 East Lourd es Drive in Appleton with the Rev. Harry Berryman officiating. Friends m ay call at the church on Wednesday, March 9 from 10:30 AM until the ti me of the Mass. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.T he family wishes to express gratitude for the wonderful care and loving co ncern of the staff at Oakridge Gardens Care Center.

    Obituary:
    Robert E. Wolfinger, age 50, of Appleton, passed away on December 31, 2014, at Appleton Medical Center, following a long battle with Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy. Rob was born on May 10, 1964, in Appleton, to the late Carl, Sr. and Elizabeth (Van Heeswyk) Wolfinger.
    Rob was a gentle and loving soul, an inspiration to everyone he met. He was well-known for his optimism, his perseverance and strength, his genuinely kind heart, and his ability to see the good in any situation. Many have been blessed to have known Rob.
    Survivors include his brother and sisters, Carl (Marilyn) Wolfinger; Betty Ann Van Dyke (special friend, Del Delcore); Rosemary Wolfinger Klauber; and Shirley Wolfinger; and his step-mother, Janet Wolfinger and her family. Rob is further survived by an uncle and aunts, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
    Abiding by Rob's request, there will be no formal funeral services. A memorial has been established in Rob's name. The family would like to thank the staff at Appleton Medical Center and Parkside Care Center for their compassionate care. Thank you, Shirley, for your love and devotion to Rob. Also, Aunt Pat and Justin are thanked for their friendship. The Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior Street, Appleton, is serving the family.
