Teske, Milton G. "Mil t"Milton G. Teske, 83, Neenah, passed away Wednesday evening, July 5, 200 6, at Manor Care Health Services in Appleton, his home for the past six ye ars. He was born Aug. 31, 1922, to the late Herman and Anna (Duerst) Tesk e, in Appleton. Milton married Rosella R. "Rose" Bressers of Little Chut e, Wis., on Aug. 26, 1946; Rose preceded him in death Jan. 25, 2006. Mi lt enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1940. He participat ed in the occupation and capture of Guadalcanal, Tarawa Atoll, Saipan a nd Tinian, Midway Islands. He was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds rece ived in battle in Saipan. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Ser geant in 1946. Milt was a watch repairman for Marty Hupka Jewelers in Appl eton. After receiving his electricians license, he worked in industrial a nd residential services. He loved "hunting, fishing and partying in God 's country, Wisconsin." Milt was member of Martin Luther Ev. Lutheran Chur ch, Neenah, he was a Past Commander of the Oney Johnston-Edward Blessman A merican Legion Post #38 and a member for over 50 years. A long standing me mber of the Harvey Pierre VFW Post #2778. Milt also served as Chef de Ga re of the 40 et 8, Outagamie County Voiture #1140.Milton is survived by his daughter, Carleen (Robert) Brock, Hayesville, N. C.; two grandchildren, Lisa (Rob) Cushman, Dalton, Ga.; Andrew (Linda Leig h) Brock, Alpharetta, Ga.; two great-grandsons, Wil and Wyatt Cushma n. He is also survived by a sister, Sophia (Clarence) NaGreen, Fremont.He was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Teske and four sisters, Mild red and Mabel Teske, Lillian (Roy) Ellis and Shirley (Harold) Jacobson.Funeral services for Milton will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 13, 20 06, at the funeral home, with Reverend Jason Oakland officiating. Burial w ill be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funer al home on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
