    Henry (Hank) VandeLaarschot, 96, Peshtigo, passed away on Oct. 1, 2011, at Rennes Health Center East. Henry was born July 15, 1915, in Little Chute, Wis., the son of late Henry and Dora (Van Munn) VandeLaarschot. He moved to Peshtigo with his parents in 1922, attended Peshtigo High School and married his high school sweetheart, Beatrice (Yeazel) on May 19, 1934. They were married for 70 wonderful years. They were lifetime members of St. Mary's Parish in Peshtigo and sang in the choir for many years.
    Hank began working at Badger Paper Mills in 1933 and remained for nearly 48 years, retiring as assistant machine room superintendent. He also served as Assessor for the City of Peshtigo for over 30 years and was awarded the "Key to the City" for his service. Hank was an avid woodworker and created many custom items that are treasured by all who received them. He loved cars, golf, hunting, fishing, playing cards and cheering on the Packers. His greatest joy was being surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who adored him right back.
    Hank is survived by his two daughters, Fay (Thomas) Pender, Lakeland, Fla.; and Sue (Peter) Van Beek, Green Bay, Wis.; five grandchildren, Penny (Jeff) Youniss, Patrick Pender and fiancee, Becky, Mark (Sara) Van Beek, Trina (John) Hagemann, and Kim (Patrick) Lee; eight great-grandchildren, Nicole, Matthew, Lisa, Cory, Kent, Alexa, Sophia and Cecelia; special niece, Jean Behnke; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Howard Kain; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leo and Harriet VandeLaarschot; Joe, Dorothy and Laura VandeLaarschot; and grandson-in-law, Dan Backus.
    Friends may call at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Peshtigo, for visitation at 9 a.m. followed by Mass at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8 with Reverend Fr. John Harper officiating.
    The family would like to thank the staff at The Renaissance Assisted Living Center in Marinette for the kindness and loving care extended to Hank over the past several years. They also wish to thank the staff at Rennes Health Center East for their compassionate care during his illness.

    Henry G. VanMunn, 91, of De Pere, died Friday August 8, 2014 at a local nursing home. The son of the late Albert and Anna (Santkuyl) VanMunn was born October 10, 1922 in Kimberly. He was a graduate of East High School. He married the former Beverly Smith in May of 1944 at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church. Henry worked at Ft. Howard Paper Company for many years prior to retirement. Henry was a member of Nativity Parish for many years. Henry enjoyed life; loving boating, fishing and spending time in the outdoors. In his retirement years, he and his wife enjoyed traveling. Survivors include his wife Beverly, one daughter, Jan Boice and her daughter Kelly (Eric) Jones and great-grandson, Calvin; one son, Patrick (Doris) VanMunn and daughter Amy (Casey) Burkhardt and great-grandson Jason; and one niece Connie (Jim) Kelly.     De Wildt, Adrian H.Adrian (Ade) De Wildt, age 87, of Kimberly, passed away with his loving fa mily at his side on Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospit al in Appleton. He was born on August 31, 1917, in Kimberly, son of the la te George and Anna (Van Munn) De Wildt. Adrian married his loving wi fe of 64 years, Catherine (Newhouse) De Wildt on June 21, 1941. They h ad a double ceremony with his sister Anna and the late Sylvester Vanden Bo ogard at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Kimberly. Ade displayed his dedicati on and faith to Holy Name, now Holy Spirit, by ushering since the age of 1 6.Adrian served his country during World War II, where he practiced his carp entry skills. His zest for carpentry can be seen in the many homes he buil t, for Hofkens’ Building and Supply, throughout the valley. Ade’s “go-gett er” and friendly personality did not leave room for the word “retiremen t” in his vocabulary. Therefore, he enjoyed working at ShopKo and took pri de in his handiwork, such as sharpening saws and repairing bikes, up to t he very end. Adrian’s hobby, beyond his work, was his enthusiasm for sport s. He loved the Kimberly Papermakers, which grew from watching his many gr andchildren play. He enjoyed baseball, especially his Brewers.     Vanden Boogard, Johanna "Ann", Combined Locks, age 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, March 25, 2007. She was born in Kimberly on March 8, 1919, daughter of the late George and Anna (Van Munn) De Wildt. She married Sylvester "Slim" Vanden Boogard on June 21, 1941, at Holy Name Church in Kimberly; he preceded her in death on April 23, 1963. As a young woman, Ann worked for Kimberly Clark Corporation, and later worked eleven years for H.C. Prange Company in Appleton, making draperies. Later, Ann worked for the Combined Locks Village election board, and was an active member of the senior citizen group there. She was a member of the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin, Women's Catholic Order of Foresters, and since 1956, had been a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Combined Locks where she belonged to the Christian Mothers. Ann enjoyed dancing, her beautiful flowers, card playing, sewing, listening to Slim play accordion music, and spending time with her precious great-grandchildren. She also collected many Dutch keepsakes.

    Walter J. Van Mun, 83, passed away at Manor Care on Friday, December 10, 2010. Wally was born on June 27, 1927, in Kimberly, to the late John and Antoinette Van Mun. He married Ursula Nabbefeld and she preceded him in death in 1997.
    Wally was very civic-minded and active in his family, church and community. He proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps during World War II, was an active parishioner at St. Pius Catholic Church and served on many committees, was a Boy Scout Leader, and was a member of Don Bosko organization.
    Wally was employed as a Warehouse Manager for VI Pipe and also worked as a groundskeeper for his dear friend, Don Wynboom, where he was considered a part of the family. He was loved by all who knew him for his generous ways and his upbeat positive attitude. He never had a harsh word for anyone. He will be missed by all, but especially by his children, Steve and Pete.
    Survivors include his sons, Stephen (Carol) Van Mun and Peter (Patti) Van Mun; his grandchildren, Tom (Summer) Van Mun, Greg Van Mun, Alan (Rachel) Van Mun; and his two great-grandsons, Tanner and Darian; and a great-granddaughter, Autumn. He is further survived by his sister, Marie (Jerome) Brockman; his brothers, John (Joanne) Van Mun, Mike (Joanie) Van Mun, Jim (Joan) Van Mun; many nieces and nephews; and his dear friends, Don and Ann Wynboom.
    He was preceded in death by his special friend and companion, Lucille "Bunny" Track.
    Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME-TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, with Pastor Paul Franzmeier officiating. Friends may call directly at the funeral home on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.

    Vander Wielen, Francis A. "Charlie"Francis A. "Charlie" Vander Wielen, of Kimberly, age 80, died Tuesday, February 20, 2007, surrounded by his family. Charlie was born in Kimberly on November 11, 1926, to the late Anton T. and Johanna (De Wildt) Vander Wielen. Charlie married Gertrude S. Krueger on October 23, 1948, in Appleton. She preceded him in death June 28, 1998. He was a great inspiration and dedicated father and will be greatly missed. He proudly served in the Navy during World War II and was a member of the William Verhagen American Legion Post #60 for over 50 years. He received from the Village of Kimberly the 2001 Community Award in Recognition of Excellence. In 1989, he retired with 43 years of service from Kimberly-Clark (Neenah Plant). He was a lifetime member of Holy Name Parish in Kimberly and volunteered at the church and in the school lunch program. He also volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul and was a former trustee for the Village of Kimberly. Many will remember Charlie as the neighborhood handyman, willing and able to tinker with anything. In addition to building his own home he also enjoyed woodworking, upholstering and automotive repairs. At Christmas, his homemade gifts were enjoyed by all. Charlie and Gert enjoyed many years of square dancing, bowling and golfing, and he also enjoyed fishing with his sons.
    Charlie is survived by eight children: Kathy (Dan) Lamers of Little Chute; Gary (Pam) of Little Chute; Carol (Charlie) De Valk of Neenah; Robert (Clair) of Omaha, Nebraska; Mark (special friend Jean Oberstadt) of Kimberly; Paul (Cynthia) of Neenah; Jean (fiancee John Dietz) of Menasha; and Doug (Shelly) of Darboy; 22 grandchildren: Brian (Susan) Lamers, Laurie (Kevin) Maas, Brent (Paula) Servin, Nichole (Eddie) Pruett, Randi Lynn (Andy) Ullrich, Emily and Jennifer De Valk, Jenny (Ron) Schuman, Mindy (Chris) Wilsey, Angel (Joshua) McCormick, Sarah (Joey) Pitch, Amanda (Tom) La Brec, Lance, Jeff (Stephanie), David, Dana, Tiffany, Heather, James, Amy (Steve Weber) Kimberly; and Ashley Vander Wielen; twenty seven great-grandchildren; sisters and brother: Cecil Sweere, Agnes Vanden Oever, Bernadine (Jerry) Mignon, Patricia Gaevert and Tom Vander Wielen; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Harlan (LaVern) Clark, Leo Peters, Luella Krueger and Dorothy Kluess.     Sandra J. Brandt, age 81 of Menasha, passed away on December 19, 2016. Sandra was born on May 28, 1935 in Menasha to Kenneth and Veronica (DeWilt) Pakalski . She was a 1953 graduate of St. Mary High School in Menasha. In 1973 she married William Brandt and he preceded her in death in 1998. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Menasha. She was employed for many years as a bank teller, retiring from Prospera Credit Union in 2007. Sandra enjoyed going to the casino, traveling, fishing and playing cards. Her Wednesday Night Card Club was always a high point of her week.
    She is survived by, children: Mike (Helen) Berens of Menasha; Cheryl Long (fiancé Peter Lingnofski) of Neenah; Paul Berens of Menasha; Sue (Pat) Wunderlich of Hortonville; Kathy (Ronnie) Krake of New London; David Berens of Menasha; James "Jim" (Erika) Brandt of Mountain Home, Idaho; step-children: Judith (Gary) Joosten; William (Mary) Brandt III, John Brandt, Wayne (Linda) Brandt, Steven Brandt, Kathleen Radtke, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, two brothers, Paul Pakalski and Dave (Wanda) Pakalski, brother-in-law Erv Willes as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She retired from Outagamie County Public Health on January 1, 2010. She was proud to be a long-time member of Clio Book Club, which was established in 1894 in Appleton. She was also a member of Fox Valley Genealogy Society and St. Pius' Prayer Shawl Ministry.
    Carol is survived by her husband, Jim Plackner; brother Jerry (Holly) VandeLaarschot; niece Amy (Justin) Baum; nephew Andy (friend Nicole) VandeLaarschot; great nieces Lauren and Julia Baum; great nephew Aidan VandeLaarschot; step sisters Laurel (Rod) Hoeth and Gayle Tonn (Jim Lukas) and step-sister-in-law, Donna Tonn.     Janice Kathleen Boice, 67, passed away on November 7, 2016, with her family at her side following an illness of cancer. Diagnosed in October of last year, she handled her illness with characteristic grace and dignity. Born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on June 20, 1949, Jan was the daughter of Beverly VanMunn and the late Henry VanMunn. She married Douglas Brittin Boice, a naval medical officer, in 1978 in Rockville, MD. Jan and Doug were stationed in various locations (Walter Reed Medical Center in Maryland; Long Beach, California; Norfolk, Virginia). Her husband died unexpectedly in Virginia in 1992 after returning from the Persian Gulf War. Jan unselfishly raised their only child, Kelly Maureen, from five years of age until adulthood. Jan served faithfully in many Christian activities in Hampton Roads VA and De Pere WI. She was a teacher of Bible, science and math and also taught in Alaska, but for most of her life Jan was a nurse treating the needy. Jan loved Colorado, the beautiful scenery reflecting God's glory, and enjoyed hiking and picking up geological specimens (aka rocks) that her son-in-law had to carry down the mountains. Her grandson, Calvin, has picked up on this legacy. She is survived by her daughter, Kelly; two grandchildren, Calvin Douglas and Piper Elizabeth; her son in law, Eric Mitchel Jones, her mother, Beverly VanMunn; and her brother, Patrick VanMunn. In addition to her family, she will be keenly missed by dear friends and all those who recognized her abiding spirit, great passion and faith. A family viewing was held November 10, 2016 at 2:15 pm at the Olinger, Andrews, Caldwell, and Gibson Funeral Home in Castle Rock, Colorado. A gravesite service is planned for November 17, 2016 at 2:30 pm at the Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso, Texas. A celebration of Jan's life will be held on December 10th in Green Bay, Wisconsin at the Jacob's Well Church.     Vanden Oever, Cynthia One of God's very special children, Cynthia A. Vanden Oever, our beloved daughter and sister, passed away on November 24, 2015 at the age of 62 at her home in Appleton. Cindy grew up in Kimberly, the oldest child of Agnes & the late Joseph Vanden Oever. Attending Robert Plamann school, she was a proud graduate of the class of '74. Cindy then spent time working at Valley Packaging Industries.
    Cindy had many interests and loved music, dancing and shopping. Those who knew her were always amazed by her incredible memory of birthdays and anniversaries of all those around her. Cindy was a happy person by nature and showed everyone what it was like to be innocent and without judgment of anyone.
    Cindy was loved dearly and is survived by her mother, Agnes; sister, Joanne (Harland) Grandy; brothers, Jim (special friend Sue Kinnard), Don (Cheryl), Dave (Jill), Joe (Lori), and Dan (Jim LaMaide). She will also forever be missed by her many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and others she met throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph, and brother, Bill.
    Cindy lived for many years at Agape group home, and more recently, at Innovative Services home. We are very grateful of the loving staff who cared for Cindy, especially the last few years during her declining health.
    Services for Cindy will be at 10:00am on Monday, November 30th, 2015 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 600 East Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly.     William "Bill" Vanden Oever, 49, Kimberly, passed away on Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at Appleton Medical Center. Bill was born on May 21, 1960, to Joseph and Agnes (VanderWielen) Vanden Oever in Appleton. He graduated from Kimberly High School in 1978 and worked at the paper mill in Kimberly for nearly 30 years.
    Bill delighted in spending time with his granddaughter, Jasmine. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, campfires on his land up north and playing cribbage. Bill always enjoyed helping others, spending time with his family and friends, leaving us with many fond memories.

    Hopfensperger, Shane M. “Shane r”Shane M. Hopfensperger “Shaner,” age 25, passed away unexpectedly Saturda y, February 28, 2004, in Chicago. He was born on October 28, 1978 in Apple ton, to Mike and Joann (De Wildt) Hopfensperger. Shane attended Holy Ange ls School in Darboy and graduated from Kimberly High School in 1997. He ea rned his BA in construction management from UW Stout, Menomonie, in 2002 a nd was an engineer with Turner Construction, Chicago. Shane took great pri de in working on the Lambeau Field project and constructing the family cot tage on Roberts Lake. He enjoyed hunting, skiing, snowmobiling, playing ho ckey, traveling, hanging out with friends and spending time with family a nd friends at the cottage.He is survived by his parents: Mike and Joann, Darboy; two sisters: Shel ly (Barry) Van Daalwyk and Barb (Luke) Hoffman and their children Marie, M atthew, and John, Appleton; his maternal grandparents, Joe and Rose Dietze n, Kimberly; his aunts and uncles: Diane (Tom) Borree, Dunedin, FL; Euni ce (John) Plutz, Kaukauna; Mary (Dan) Gould, Allen, TX; Jim (Kim) Dietze n, Cross Plains; Terry Dietzen, Little Chute; Steve (Paula) Dietzen, New L ondon; Ruth (Brian) Jennerjahn, Hartford City, IN; Ron (Bonnie O’ Conne r) Hopfensperger, Minneapolis, MN; Ken (Sue) Hopfensperger, Wisconsin Rapi ds; Ellen (Lenny) Lipinski, Thorp; Dan (Linda) Hopfensperger, Sun Prairi e; his cousins: Kimber, Mark (Jeanette), Annette (Brett), Nathan, Ryan, Lu ke, Claire, Jane (Gary), Chris (Kristie), Kate (Jeff), Rian (Leona), Se th (Dacia), Nathan (Tracy), Nick (Rachael), Heather, Corrie, and Kelsi e; as well as many wonderful friends, including his special friend, Amy V an Vuren.Shane was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Reynold and Ce il Hopfensperger, Darboy; maternal grandfather: Henry De Wildt, Kimberl y; and his cousin Eric.Friends may call at HOLY NAME CHURCH, 620 E. Kimberly Ave, Kimberly, on We dnesday, March 3 from 2 to 6 p.m. followed with mass concelebrated by Fath er Michael Dory and Father Tom Pomeroy. Burial will be on Thursday morni ng at Holy Angels Cemetery, Darboy. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is bei ng established within the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region.Boettcher Family Funeral Home 920-766-2099 is assisting the family.
