    Landwehr-Pautz, LaVerne “Snow ball”LaVerne “Snowball” Landwehr-Pautz, De Pere, 78, passed away Sept. 2, 200 5, at St. Vincent Hospital after a brief illness. She was born Dec. 26, 19 26, to the late Martin and Mary Van Roy. She married Frank Landwehr on Ju ly 24, 1946; he proceeded in death on May 1, 1976, after 29 years of marri age. During those 29 years of marriage they ran three different taverns, t he last being Snowball’s Bar in De Pere. She married Vern Pautz on Ju ne 9, 1979; they resided in De Pere until his death May 26, 1994. LaVer ne entered Woodside Lutheran Nursing Home in September of 2002 where she r esided until her short stay at St. Vincent Hospital. While at Woodside s he enjoyed all the games they played, being a member of the Ladies Red H at Society and doing her favorite pastime crocheting potholders and baby o utfits. She looked forward to Fridays, because she would deliver popco rn to the residents who were unable to get their own, and playing cards wi th her family on Friday afternoons. LaVerne enjoyed listening to Polka mus ic at the birthday parties and picnics. Her favorite song was the Chick en Song. Above all her greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren, gre at grandchildren, and spending time with her family.Survivors include her daughters, Rose Marie “Mooch” Renard of Green Bay, a nd Barb (Steve) Hendricks of De Pere; her grandchildren, Kevin (Vicky) Ren ard of Suamico, Brad (Jenny) Renard of Green Bay, and Jenny Renard (Jacob s) of Appleton; her two great grandchildren Brittany Bauman and Carter Ren ard further survive.Her husbands, Frank Landwehr and Vern Pautz, and her sister Mabel Van R oy preceded her in death.Friends may call after 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005 at the RYAN FUNER AL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street De Pere until the time of service at 2 p.m. wi th Father Tim Shillcox O.Praem officiating.
