Peter J. Daul, 81, Oconto died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at his home. Peter was born Jan. 19, 1921, in Oconto, to the late John and Elizabeth (Watry) Daul. Peter worked as a Cheese Maker all his life, retiring in 1983. Peter served in the U.S. Army Infantry in Germany during World War II. Peter was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, Knights of Columbus, the American Legion and the VFW. Peter is survived by one brother, Joseph Daul Sr., Oconto; one sister, Bernice Daul-Foster, Brookside; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Francis; and one sister, Margaret Daul. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, with Knights of Columbus Rosary at 6:30 p.m. and prayer services at 7 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2 p.m. Wednesday Feb. 20, 2002, at Holy Trinity Parish with the Rev. David C. Ruby officiating and burial at Oconto Catholic Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the American Legion.

Joseph N. Daul Sr., 81, of Oconto, died Wednesday Jan. 5, 2005, at his home. Joseph was born Aug. 9, 1923 in Oconto to the late John and Elizabeth (Watry) Daul. He married Bertha Schmit on May 17, 1947. She preceded him in death on Sept. 5, 1996. Joseph owned and operated a dairy farm until his retirement in 1977. After his retirement Joseph was well known in his neighborhood for donating his time and helping others. Joseph served his country in the U.S. Navy. Joseph was a member of the Holy Trinity Parish, Knights of Columbus and AMVETS.
Joseph is survived by eight daughters, Connie (Tony) Kriescher, Oconto Falls; Linda (Jay) Behnke, Green Bay; Marilyn (Tim) Stewart, Green Bay; Cindy (Mike) Messenger, Green Bay; Susan (Mark) Speller, Stiles; Sherry O'Connor, Oconto; Marylou (Randy) Lemke, Oconto; Julie (Harry) Stich Jr., Oconto; one son Joseph (Diana) Daul Jr., Greenville; one sister Bernice Foster, Oconto; 21 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by one son Robert Daul, three brothers Peter, Raymond, Francis Daul, one sister Margaret Daul, one grandson Kevin Kriescher, and one brother-in-law Jackie Foster.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday Jan. 7, 2005, with a Rosary by the Knights of Columbus at 6:30 p.m. and prayer service by Deacon Walter Kaszynski at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Parish with the Rev. David C. Ruby officiating and burial at Oconto Catholic Cemetery. Military Rites by the American Legion Post #74.

Bernice L. Foster, 76, Oconto, passed away April 25, 2005, at Manor Care Health Services, Green Bay. Bernice was born July 26, 1928, at Oconto to the late John and Elizabeth (Watry) Daul. She married Jackie Foster Sept. 30, 1950. He preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 1994. Bernice and her husband, Jackie operated Jackie Foster Inc. for many years. In her retirement years she worked at Oconto Floral Inc. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, Oconto. Survivors include a daughter, Donna (Clifton) Martin, Oconto; a son, Richard Foster, Abrams; four grandchildren, Tracy (Steve) Behnke, Oconto; Jason (Emily) Martin, Oconto; Tari Martin and special friend, Seth Willer, Oshkosh; Jordan Martin and fiance, Jaimee Scanlan, Oconto; four great- grandchildren, Collin, Carlee, and Cora Behnke and Cayden Martin. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie; a son, Steven; four brothers, Raymond, Peter, Joseph, and Frances Daul; one sister, Margaret Daul. Friends may call at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Parish wake service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Parish with the Rev. David C. Ruby officiating. Burial will be at Oconto Catholic Cemetery.
