    Van Rossum, Charles
    Charles Van Rossum, 89, Wrightstown, passed away peacefully at Parkview Ma nor Nursing Home Thursday morning, Oct. 25, 2001. He was born on Jan. 8, 1 912, in De Pere, Wis., son of the late Peter and Dorothy (Van Lanen) Van R ossum. He graduated from Sunny Corners School and farmed with his mother a fter the death of his father. He married Harriet Hermsen on Nov. 25, 193 7. He and his wife farmed near Wrightstown until 1967. He then retired a nd worked part-time for the Village of Wrightstown for several years. Char les was a member of St. Paul's Parish and was a 4H leader in Brown Co. f or many years. Charles enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening and fishin g. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
    Survivors include four sons and three daughters, Betty (Paul J.) Kliste r, Wrightstown; Gerald Van Rossum, Kaukauna; Robert (Janice) Van Rossu m, De Pere; Marvin Van Rossum, Kaukauna; Carol (Leon) Fink, Jackson, Miss .; Rose (Thomas) Boylan, Greenleaf; Thomas (Patricia) Van Rossum, Greenlea f; 29 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers and one sister, George Van Rossum, Freedom; Henry (Gertrude) V an Rossum, De Pere; Lauretta (Melvin) Green, Kaukauna; his sisters-in-la w, Irene Van Asten, Little Chute; Evelyn LaBine, Milwaukee; Rose Van Rossu m, Kaukauna; and Esther Hermsen, Little Chute.
    Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Harriet (Hermsen) Van Rossu m; a son, Mark Michael Van Rossum; his parents, Dorothy and Peter Van Ross um; two brothers, Adrian Van Rossum and Norbert Van Rossum; one sister, Be rtha Van Domelen; one infant brother, William; daughter-in-law, Donna V an Rossum; four brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law.
    Friends and family may call on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001 from 4 p.m. to 8 p. m. at DeWane-Cotter Funeral Home, 711 Main St., Wrightstown, where there w ill be a Parish Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue direct ly at St. Paul Parish on Monday, Oct. 29, 2001 from 10 a.m. until the ti me of Mass. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Mond ay at church with Father James Gilsoul and Father Robert Kabat concelebrat ing. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
    The family would like to extend a special Thank you to the Staff at Parkvi ew Manor Nursing Home for the wonderful care they gave Dad.
