    Chester J . Appleton Rt. 2. Kaukauna Age 64, passed away unexpect- edly at the Darboy Club at 7:15 Thursday evening. He was born July 17, 1905 in the Town of Kaukauna and he was a life resident of the town. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, town of Freedom. Sur- vivors are two daughters, Betty at home, Mrs. Thomas (Patricia) Setliff, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Four sons, Thomas, Daniel, Clark, and Charles, all of Kaukauna; one brother, William, Kaukauna, and 8 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom, the Rev. Alfred Hietpas officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Sunday. There will be a scriptural rosary at 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening by the Holy Name Society and a Wake Service and Scrip- tural rosary at 8:30 p.m. Sunday even- ing by Father Hietpas.

    Kaukauna Teacher For Many Years, Dies Miss Marie Appleton 305 1/2 W Sixth street. Kaukauna school teacher for more than 30 years, died at 5:30 this morning in Appleton after a 3-month illness. Miss Appleton taught at Park elementary school in Kaukauna for many years and was teach - ing when she became ill last November She also taught previously in the town of Kaukauna, town of Freedom and Combined Locks She was born in the town of Kaukauna and attended school in Freedom Kaukauna High school and Oshkosh State Teacher s college She was an Active member of the Sacred Heart Mission club of Menasha. Funeral services will be at 9 30 Saturday morning at St Mary Catholic church Kaukau- na with burial in Holy Cross cemetery in that city. The rosary will be recited at 8 o clock Thursday and Friday nights at the Fargo Funeral home Kaukauna where friends may call after 7 30 Thursday evening Survivors include two brothers William Appleton, Kaukauna and Chester Appleton route 2 Kaukauna and one sister, Mrs. George Haen, Denver, Colo.

    Clark Leo Appleton, age 66, of Kaukauna, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 5, 2008. He was born September 6, 1941, to the late Chester and Elizabeth (Weiland) Appleton, in Appleton. Clark married Carol Fritsch on November 24, 1979, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Freedom. Clark farmed all of his life with his brother, Chuck. He put his whole heart and soul into farming. He was a 4-H member in his younger years and won many blue ribbons and won a grand champion ribbon for a cow he showed at the State Fair. He was a member of FFA and Farm Bureau Association. He loved country and polka music. Clark loved the countryside and would many times just get in the truck and drive around. We wish to thank the family, friends and neighbors for their helpfulness and for taking and giving Clark the opportunity to get out of the house when he was no longer able to drive to the places he loved.
    Clark is survived by his loving wife, Carol; his daughter, Sabrina Schmidt and two grandchildren, Elizabeth and James Schmidt. He is also survived by two brothers: Tom (Flora) Appleton; Dan (Nancy) Appleton; and a sister, Betty Appleton. He is further survived by his wife's family: Jerome (Carol) Fritsch; LeRoy (Mary Lou) Fritsch; Bernard (Sandy) Fritsch; Robert (Helen) Fritsch; Chuck (Connie) Fritsch; Patricia (Joseph) Rickert; and Nancy (Robert) Van Boxtel. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by a brother Chuck and a sister, Pat Sutliff.
    The funeral liturgy for Clark will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2008, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, W2037 County Road S, Freedom, with Father Dave Hoffman and Father Paul Paider officiating. Burial will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m., until the time of the mass. A memorial fund is being established.
    A special thanks to Dale Vande Voort for helping Clark and the family throughout the years and also many thanks to the ThedaCare at Home Hospice caregivers.

    Charles F., "Chuck " Appleton Town of Kaukauna Age 61, died Wednesday February 11, 2004 at the Appleton Medical Cente r. He was born November 26, 1942 to the late Chester and Elizabeth (Weilan d) Appleton in Appleton. He never married. Chuck farmed with his brother C lark for the past 34 years in the Town of Kaukauna. He loved attending tra ctor pulling shows and restoring Allis tractors. He thoroughly enjoyed bow ling with his buddies. Chuck was always there to lend a helping hand. He w as a loving brother, friend and father figure to many of his close relativ es. He is survived by three brothers: Thomas and Florence, Dan and Nancy a nd Clark and Carol, all of Kaukauna; two sisters: Betty Appleton, Appleto n; Patricia and Tom Sutliff, Colorado Springs, CO; ten nieces and nephew s: David and Carol Appleton, Steven Appleton, Lori and Rick Hedtke, Kim a nd Scott Walbrun, DeAnn Appleton, Wendy and Paul Schluetter, Julie Bower s, Sabrina and Henry Schmidt, Kenneth Sutliff and Leah Sutliff and a ve ry good friend, Dale Vande Voort, will also miss him.His parents preceded him in death. The memorial service will be 12 No on on Saturday February 14 at ST. NICHOLAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Freedom with F r. Paul Paider officiating. Friends will be received at Church on Saturd ay from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Chuck wanted to be cremated a nd his cremated remains will be buried in the Parish Cemetery. In li eu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
