Obituary:
Joseph C. Petermeier, age 81, of Melrose, died on Sunday, June 20, 2004, at the Pine Villa Nursing Home in Melrose.
Joseph was born on August 10, 1922, in Melrose to Henry and Elizabeth (Zirbes) Petermeier. On August 10, 1955, Joseph was united in marriage to Patricia Skeffington at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Melrose. The family resided on a dairy farm north of Melrose.
Joe is survived by his wife, Patricia of Melrose; daughters: Stephanie & husband, Tim Hennen of Freeport, Debra & husband, Paul Casper of Maple Grove; son, Kevin of Melrose; five grandchildren: Steven, Bryan, and Adrianna Hennen, Casey, Courtney Casper; sisters: Eunice Casey, Carmella Worms, Loyola Jenkins, Jeanette Barth, JoAnn Welle, Betty LaFriniere; brothers: Delbert, Steven, William, Tony, Tom Petermeier.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Henry & Elizabeth; sisters: Marie Meyer, Lucille Petermeier; brothers: George & Rich Petermeier.
Parish Prayer service will be Wednesday, June 23, 2004, 7:30 p.m. Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Melrose.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 24, 2004, 11:00 a.m., St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Melrose.
Burial at St. Mary?s Cemetery in Melrose, Minnesota. Services were directed by Petermeier?s Alexandria Funeral Care & Cremation Service.
