Egan, Hazel
Hazel Egan, 91, Kaukauna, died Saturday, April 28, 2007, at St. Paul Home. Hazel was born Jan. 10, 1916, to the late Bert and
Elizabeth (Fries) Egan in Green Bay. She graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1934 and continued her education at night school in Appleton and Kaukauna. Hazel's lifelong love was Kaukauna High School; she faithfully worked for the school district for 30+ years as a secretary to the principal. She was a longtime member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and active with the Catholic Order of Foresters.
She is survived by many relatives and friends, Jim and Arlene Egan, Barb Egan, Linda Egan, George and Jane Egan, Diane and Tom Simon and family, James Egan, Liz Egan and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Elizabeth Egan; and her sister, Jeanne Egan.
Hazel's Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on TUESDAY, May 1, 2007, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Jack T. Mullarkey officiating. Friends will be received on Tuesday at Church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Holy Cross Parish. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home is assisting the family. 920-766-2099.
The family would like to thank Dr. Jennifer Schoening and the St. Paul Elder Service specifically the Villa Staff, Primrose Lane and Forever in Our Hearts, the Staff on Poppy Path and Sr. Dorothy who took those last steps with us.
