    Obituary:
    Catherine Seegers passed away at St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna on Sunday morning, January 24, 2016. Her 93 years with us were filled with love, and we will all miss her special touch on our lives. Mom was born in Kaukauna on May 26, 1922, daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Jaekels) Buchinger. She attended St. Mary's School, often getting there on roller skates! As a young girl, she was needed back on the farm after fifth grade to help raise her large family of brothers and sisters. Catherine married Joseph Popp at St. Mary's in Kaukauna in 1941; he preceded her in death in 1984. She later married Louis Seegers in July of 1987; he preceded her in death in 2013. Catherine will be remembered by all for her homemaking and mothering expertise. She cooked, baked, sewed and made clothing, worked on the farm, and wasn't afraid to stoke the wood stove. She was also a member of the Christian Mothers' Society at St. John Parish.
    She is survived by nine loving children: Catherine has nine children: Patricia (Gerald) Moehn of Stockbridge; Susan (Judd) Vollmer of Menasha; Frederick (Rosemary) Popp of St. John; Kathleen (Gerald) Theel of Kiel; Peter (Sue) Popp of St. Nazianz; Nancy Robers of Arizona; Gregory (Shirley) Popp of Menasha; Maxine Orth of Cleveland; and Rachel (Paul) Anciaux of Hixton. Catherine also leaves behind 34 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; a step-grandchild, and three step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by Louis' sons and their families: Roger (Connie) Seegers of Appleton; Wayne (Janice) Seegers of Fremont; Scott (Judy) Owen of Santa Cruz, California; and Stephen (Beverly) Owen of Hilbert. There are also two sisters-in-law: Dorothy Buchinger and Jeanne Buchinger, as well as several in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, eleven brothers and sisters, a son-in-law: Dennis Orth; a grandson: Douglas Moehn; a great-great-grandson, and a step-grandson.
    The funeral liturgy for Catherine will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, N369 Military Road in Sherwood, with Fr. David Funk, OFM Cap. officiating. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, St. John. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on Thursday morning from 9:00 AM until the hour of the mass.

    Obituary:
    Mark L. Buchinger, Appleton, Formerly of Kaukauna, age 85, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013, at Cherry Meadows. Mark was born March 17, 1927, in Kaukauna, son of the late Michael and Margaret (Jaeckels) Buchinger. He was a graduate of Kaukauna High School, Class of 1945. On September 19, 1950 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Meulemans. Mark farmed with his wife and daughters in the Kaukauna area for nearly 50 years before retiring to Kimberly in 1993. He was an active member of Sacred Heart Church in Sherwood, serving on the finance committee and was a member of the Sherwood Lions Club. He and Dorothy were past members of the Sherwood Senior Citizens, where they enjoyed many fun-filled Wednesdays of lunch and cards. Through the years, they enjoyed their card playing groups, Friday night fish frys, and reminiscing with family, friends, and neighbors. He has passed on his "tractor and farming tales" to the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. While in Kimberly, Mark joined the Kimberly Kiwanis Club and became a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
    He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy; three daughters and sons-in-law: Marge (Leon) Schilling, Judy (Bob) Piel, and Karen (Charles) Engel; seven grandchildren: Jennifer Schilling, Scott (Deborah) Schilling, Amy (Brian) Randall, Cathy (Adam) Olig, Charlie (Ashley) Engel, Robert Engel, and Michael Engel (Special friend Tabitha); six great-grandchildren: Zach and Zoe Schilling, Nicholas and Lucas Randall, Sonya and Emmett Olig; two sisters: Catherine (Louie) Seegers and Mary Margaret Schmitt; a sister-in-law, Jean Buchinger. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and six sisters-in-law: John and Helen, Michael and Beatrice, Edmund and Betty, Leo and Rita, Paul and Jeanette, Richard, Carl and Marion; two sisters: Barbara Horn and Anna Ceil Buchinger; and three brothers-in-law: Joseph Popp, Bernard Schmitt, and Norbert Horn.
    Mass of Christian Burial for Mark will be at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 602 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly with Fr. Dave Beaudry and Fr. Ken Frozena concelebrating. Friends may call on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Parish Prayer Service at 7:30 concluding the evening. Friends may call again on Thursday directly at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Mark's name.

    Obituary:
    Mary Margaret Schmit, 87, of Seymour, passed away Sunday morning, January 17, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born May 2, 1928, daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Jaeckels) Buchinger. On October 14, 1948, she was united in marriage to Bernard "Bud" Schmit. He preceded her in death December 19, 2011.
    Mary farmed with her husband on the Schmit homestead. She was a member of St. Sebastian's Catholic Church, Isaar and the Christian Mothers of the church. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, berry picking, gardening, cooking, baking and bird watching. Mary loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    Survivors include her children: Mike (Karen) Schmit and their children: Cheri, Jackie (Travis); Frances Rudnick and her children: Benjamin (Ronda), Philip, Jessica, Jeremiah (special friend Stephanie), Joshua (Chelsea) and Rebecca (Pat); Marie (Bruce) Raymakers and their children: Doug (Jeanna), Ken (Amber), Debbie (Andy) and Greg (Pamela); Margie (Roy) Muck and their children: Amanda (Brandon), Jason (fiancée Emily), Jennifer (Dylan) and Kristine; 27 great-grandchildren; one sister, Catherine Seagers; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Buchinger and Jean Buchinger.
    Mary is preceded in death by two grandchildren: Keith and Jill; and Mary's siblings: John, Mike, Ed, Leo, Paul, Mark, Richard, Carl, Barbara, and baby Antonette.
    Friends may call at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Isaar on Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral mass at 11 a.m. with Fr.     Paul Buchinger, age 74, of Hilbert, died Monday, April 12, 2004 at St. Paul Home. Paul was born March 25, 1930 to the late Michael and Margaret (Jackels) Buchinger in the Town of Buchanan. He married the former Jeanette Koehler on September 11, 1956 at St. John Catholic Church in the Town of Woodville. She preceded him in death on April 11, 1992. Paul lived in the Town of Buchanan from his birth until he moved to Sherwood in 1952. In 1964 he moved to Hilbert. Paul was a farmer all his life, was active officer in the farm bureau and attended many sales and auctions. He enjoyed card playing, polka music and dancing.
    Paul was a longtime member of St. John Parish and the Knights of Columbus, Hilbert Branch.
    He is survived by two sons, Steven Buchinger and Arthur Buchinger; a special friend, Betty Jacobs; a brother, Mark (Dorothy) Buchinger; three sisters: Catherine Popp (Lewis) Seegers, Mary (Bernard) Schmit and Barbara (Norbert) Horn; and five sisters-in-law: Marlene Koehler, Betty Buchinger, Rita Buchinger, Jean Buchinger and Joyce (Phil) Bruecker.
    His wife, Jeanette; his parents, Michael and Margaret; his six brothers: John, Michael, Ed, Leo, Richard and Carl; an infant sister, Anna Ceil; a brother-in-law, Joseph Popp; and two sisters-in-law, Beatrice Buchinger and Marian Buchinger preceded him in death.
    The funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Saturday April 17, at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH IN Sherwood with Fr. Kenneth Frozena officiating. Friends will be received on Saturday at Church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place St. John Cemetery in the Town of Woodville.     Barbara A. Horn, 71, Sherwood, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born on Dec. 22, 1929, in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Jaeckels) Buchinger. On Sept. 14, 1972, Barb married Norbert Horn.
    The couple lived in Sherwood where, from 1972-1984, they owned and operated "The Granary" Supper Club. Barb worked at area restaurants, delis and grocery stores her entire life, to name a few, The Red Owl in Kaukauna, Jack n Jill in Sherwood, and as of late, Pick 'n Save in Darboy.
    Barb and Norbert shared the joy of creating arts and crafts. Barb and Norb cherished many weeks sightseeing, fishing and visiting at their cabin in the northwoods. Barb lovingly referred to her grandchildren as her "Little Angels," who would help her trim her Christmas tree yearly.
    She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sherwood, the Red Hat Society, Curves and the Catholic Knights of Sherwood.
    She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Norbert; her children, Bruce (Michelle), Combined Locks, and their children, Moriah, Alyssa, Evan and Jared; Toni (Dale) Reh, Menasha; and Eric (Janet) Koehler, Oshkosh, and their children, Erika, Ryan and Cory; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Mark (Dorothy) Buchinger, Kimberly; and Jean Buchinger, Brillion; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Catherine (Louis) Seegers, Kimberly; and Mary Margaret (Bud) Schmitt, Seymour. She is further survived by her husband's family, Eugene Horn, Menasha; Josephine Van Linn, Neenah; Shirley Horn, Menasha; and Elizabeth (Tony) Meulemanns, Florida.
    She was preceded in death by seven brothers and an infant sister.
    Mass of Christian Burial for Barb will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, N369 Military, Sherwood, with Fr. Philip Dinh-Van-Thiep officiating. Friends will be received on Monday, March 28, 2011, at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna, from 4 to 8 p.m. with a Parish Prayer service concluding the evening. Friends may call again on Tuesday directly at Church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.

    Anthony B. Buchinger, age 63, was called home to the Lord on Sunday, March 1, 2015. He was born on May 22, 1951, to the late John and Helen Buchinger and resided in Shawano. Anthony worked rigging boats at American Marina and was always proud of his work. He had a strong faith and was a member at the First Baptist Church in Clintonville for many years. Anthony enjoyed NASCAR, tinkering in the garden, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was loved dearly by his family and will be greatly missed.
    Anthony is survived by his daughter, Antonette (Doug Vander Linden) Wartick; grandchildren, Austin and Paige Wartick; siblings, Theresa (Carl) Reimers, Anna (Carl) Scharenberg, Dennis (Polly) Buchinger, and John Buchinger; Sharon McVey-Lange; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Buchinger.

    Mary H. Gerrits, Kaukauna, Loving Wife, Mother & Grandmother, age 57, died on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, at Cherry Meadows following a courageous three year battle with cancer. Mary was born August 18, 1950, to the late Michael and Beatrice (Wallace) Buchinger in Kaukauna, WI. She married Arthur J. Gerrits on September 5, 1970, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Mary was a member of St. Al's Parish. She enjoyed traveling and reading as well as cooking and baking wonderful treats for her family. She adored her granchildren and cherished the role of being a grandmother. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
    She is survived by her husband, Art Gerrits; her daughter, Laura (J.R.) Fabry and their son Lawson and a new addition due in April; her son, Jeremy (Diana) Gerrits and their two children: Quindyln and Graham; two brothers, Don (Judy) Buchinger and Francis (Sue) Buchinger; a sister Ruth (Jack) Van Treeck; a brother in law, Bob (Diane) Gerrits and many nieces, nephews and close friends.

    Seymour - Michael H. Schmit, 68, of Seymour passed away on Wednesday morning, April 11, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born October 21, 1949, son of the late Bernard "Bud" and Mary (Buchinger) Schmit.
    He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Seymour.
    On April 24, 1981 he was united in marriage to Karen Schaumberg.
    Mike attended a one room grade school called Plainview Elementary School and was a 1967 graduate of Seymour High School. He worked on the family farm in Isaar with his parents and family prior to being at Fort Howard Paper Mill. Mike was fortunate to retire from Fort Howard after over 30 years of service. His daily retirement routine was going to his morning workout.
    He then started his next full-time job, which was being an avid deer and small game hunter and fishing, Lake Winnebago was his second home. Mike was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed every opportunity to be out in nature with his family and friends.
    Family was the most important part of Mike's life. His grandchildren always brought a twinkle to his eye.
    Surviving is his wife, Karen; daughters, Cheri (Bart) Ledvina, Jackie (Travis) Raduenz; four grandchildren: Ava and Kendyl Kuranda, Wyatt and Trevor Raduenz; siblings: Frances Rudnick, Marie (Bruce) Raymakers, Margie (Roy) Muck; mother in-law, Gladys Schaumberg; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Grace Ann (Bob) Daoust, Gary (Becky) Schaumberg, Scott (Sarah) Schaumberg, Sue Schaumberg; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a father-in-law, Gerald Schaumberg; brothers-in-law: Bruce, Douglas and Greg Schaumberg.
    Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a parish prayer service at 7:30 pm. Visitation will continue at St. John Catholic Church, Seymour on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 9:00 am until the funeral mass at 11:00 am with Fr. Bob Kabat and Deacon Rich Matuszak officiating. Burial will take place in St. Sebastian Catholic Cemetery, Isaar.

    Brian Christopher Lamers, age 43, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016 after a brave and inspiring struggle awaiting a liver and kidney transplant. He was born to Randall and Ann (Buchinger) Lamers on March 8, 1973. He married Scott Tiedemann on May 15, 2015 after being together for 12 years. Brian graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1991 and then obtained an Associate's Degree through Fox Valley Technical College. At the height of Brian's professional career, he was responsible for marketing to a tri-state region for the student loan division of Associated Bank.
    Brian's passions were sobriety, sunsets, cooking, making others happy, his three dogs (Mickey, Zachary, and Maxwell), nature hikes and camping; and his heart will always reside at his parents' cabin on White Sand Lake.
    Brian is survived by his loving husband, Scott Tiedemann; his parents Randall and Ann Lamers; his brother Chad (Amy) Lamers; his sister Amber (Carlos) Torres; Parents-in-law: William and Carole Tiedemann; brother-in-law Matthew (Jill) Tiedemann; sister-in-law Stacey Winter; Goddaughter: Kendra Lamers; nieces: Brianna Lamers, Halli and Lena Rief; nephews: Trent Lamers, Sullivan Torres, future nephew Everett Torres, Harrison Tiedemann, Keaten Rief; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents: Sylvan and Shirley Lamers; maternal grandparents: Leo and Rita Buchinger; uncle Rick Lamers and grandfather-in-law, Chester Hancock.

    Funeral Services for Brian will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.

    Van Treeck, Jacob James, Infant son of Jay and Becky Van Treeck, of Kimberly, passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving parents on April 8, 2010. During his short time here, he touched so many lives and showed his strength and determination.
    In addition to his parents he is survived by maternal grandparents, Deedee and Al Laabs, Ironwood, MI; and Don Bertels, Ironwood, MI; paternal grandfather, John L. Van Treeck, Kaukauna; aunts and uncles: Brad (Andrea) Bertels, Harrison Township, MI; Shelly (fiance Douglas Tyler) Van Treeck, Dublin, Ireland; Ann (Ken) Diedrick, Little Chute; Kathy (Brad) Ziesemer, Kaukauna; Melissa (Jeff) Helf, Menasha; and Matt Van Treeck; six cousins: Haley and Cory Diedrick, Cassie and Josh Ziesemer, and Nathan and Karly Helf.
    Jacob is in the arms of his paternal grandmother, Ruth Ann Van Treeck in heaven.
    Services for Jacob will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday April 10, 2010, at the Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna, with visitation from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Jacob's name for Children's Hospital.
    The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Children's Hospital with Dr. Hans and also the nursing staff at Theda Clark Birth Center with Dr. Kaldas.
