    Petit, Victor B.
    Victor Benedict Petit, age 91, passed peacefully on September 29, 2014 in Appleton. Victor was born on September 20, 1923 in the farming town of Liberty, New London to Louis and Lillian (Bonnin) Petit. He graduated from Washington High School, New London in 1942. He later attended Fox Valley Tech for Electrical Maintenance. He married Rita Jamison from Hortonville in 1946 and celebrated 68 years of marriage last month, together they had five children. He worked at Badger Milk Plant as a Lab Technician and then 33 years at Miller Electric, in electrical maintenance retiring in 1984. His great passion was to modify and improve tools to make his tinkering jobs easier and thus known to be called "Victorized". He loved experimenting with electrical and mechanical equipment. Victor's inventions were endless. He loved gardening and traveling. He was a lifelong member of the Third Order of St. Francis.
    Victor is survived by his wife Rita. He was a loving husband and loving father to David (Linda) Petit, Susan Petit, Deborah (Frank) Doolittle, Sally (Peter) Teasdale and Darlene (Paul) Petit, six grandchildren; Jeannae (GJ) Zeutzius, Paul Petit, Jesse Prey, Melissa (Steve) Pollock, Janet (Richard) Doolittle-Hall and John Doolittle and four great grandchildren. He is further survived by sister-in-laws: Mary (Jim) Tessen, Ruth Voster, Anna Surprise, Lois Petit and brother-in-law, Wally Hedtke, special friends; Jeff and David Mullen, Vivian Schultz and Jim Farrel.
    Victor was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and grandson, Philippe Petit.
    A memorial service will be held at 10:30AM, Friday, October 3, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 410 W. Lawrence St. Appleton, with the Rev. Jim Leary officiating. Visitation will be held at the Church from 9:30AM until the time of service. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
    In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Victor's name.
