But every day I think in my prayers of the building of your high school, for which you and your office made so many sacrifices and did so much work. And now to our family Pritzl: On this day, the feast of Maria Ascension, I think especially about the little mountain church near the Osser (mountain) and the pilgrimage for which our religious father started out early in the morning, namely about 2:30, so that he could be there for the 10 o'clock Mass, which would be held outdoors. How he must have prayed there! The people knew him already, the man with the many children. Us two youngest ones never had the chance to go with him, for he died when I was 5 years old, and Luise was three years old. But this day was always dedicated to the memory of our father and it is still a very special holy day. About the family, Vater Alois Pritzl, mother Barbara. Since brother Michael went to America and brother Alois was not married there are no Pritzl descendents. We are pleased that the name Pritzl is being spread there. Wolfgang Pritzl (1844-1902) Wolfgang arrived in New York in May of 1868. He filed an intention for citizenship on 6 Nov. 1876. On the 1880 census index he was listed as being born in Oesterich (Austria). His wife Franciska Lemberger was listed as being born in "Bauern", . Their first four children are also listed. Residence is listed as Brillion, Wisc. Calumet county. Wolfgang's brothers also emigrated to America, Frank in May 1872, Anton in June 1871, and Michael in 1867. Why did they emigrate?? Maybe the history of the area will give us a probable cause, but unless some definite facts are uncovered, we will never be 100% sure. The following narratives gleamed from the writings of Don Zipperer and Rev. Bernard Meyer gives us some background into the why. Bohemia was part of the Austrian Empire during the time of our ancestor emigration. Germany was the official language in Bohemia the language of government, churches, schools, etc.. It wasn't until about 1870 that the Czech language was allowed to be taught in the University of Praque. In the 1860's and 1870's Czech-speaking Bohemians only then began to gain recognition as citizens with rights equal to those enjoyed by the German-speaking Bohemian citizens. History books tell us that laws were being passed during this time to make Czech the official language of any city, town, church or school where the majority of people where Czech. The Czech-speaking Bohemians had fought a class war with their German-speaking Bohemian countrymen and slowly, over the next several decades made Bohemia completely Czech. One of the immediate results of the changes going on in Bohemia was mass emigration,- - to Germany, America, or to any place where the German-speaking people could live, bring up their children and speak their native language. In 1918, after World War I, Bohemia became part of Czechoslovakia. Then after World War II, around 1950, the Russians took Czechoslovakia behind the Iron Curtain. The residents of border towns were forced to leave their homes, simply because they were too close to the border of the Free World. Throughout Bohemia and the rest of Czechoslovakia, German- speaking citizens were actually allowed to leave Bohemia. The Czeches had been fighting a class war with their German countrymen, a struggle to rise above second-class status, for decades. Whether the refugees of the late 1940's went to Bavaria, immediately west of Bohemia, Austria or some other German-speaking land, they had to leave their homes and nearly all of their belongings and, empty-handed, begin anew as strangers in different lands with different customs. The refugees also lost touch with their Bohemian friends and neighbors. Some families, that then still had relatives living in the vicinity of Hirschau, Taus, Friedrichsthal or Ploess, could not know where the others resettled. In the 1950's, some Meyer cousins who had left Bohemia and settled in Bavaria wrote to their relatives in the U. S. and told them that the Czech-speaking people badly mistreated the German-speaking populace in Bohemia. So our ancestors were better off leaving Bohemia when they did. It should also be noted that, although these 1940's refugees from Bohemia had learned German in school, their spoken language would have been somewhat different from that of the Bavarians, Austrians and other West Germans. Their customs were different enough to make them feel strange in their adopted lands. It is understandable, therefore, that they longed to return to their homes in Hirschau, Friedrichsthal and other parts of Bohemia and prayed that circumstances would change so that they could be allowed to return again. One relative wrote that some of the 1940's refugees climbed a mountain in Bavaria near the Czechoslovakian border to get a glimpse of their former home in Hirschau, just a few miles across from the border. They saw what appeared to be "ghost towns" where their houses stood vacant, ravaged by the elements and by vandals passing through and thus allowed to fall into ruin. Rev. Bernard Meyer was ordained a priest 22 July, 1951 in Switzerland. He said his First Mass in Konigsberg, Bavaria where many of his relatives were living as refugees. Fr. Anton Kelnhofer, participated in Fr. Meyer's first mass. Fr. Kelnhofer's mother was Barbara Pritzl, sister of the four brothers who came to America. (Rev. John Pritzl, great-grandson of Barbara's brother Wolfgang, attended Fr. Meyers First Mass in the U.S.)

BIOGRAPHIE: The story of Frank S and Mary ZIPPERER PRITZL as told by two of their children; Regina PRITZL BOHMAN and Sister M. DeLellis (Helen PRITZL). Our father, Frank PRITZL, was the second youngest of eight children. When Franks father died, pa's uncle came late for the funeral. He came on horseback from nearby Munich. When our pa saw uncle, he called him "dada". That pleased uncle, so he begged to take along the four year old and raise him. Pa visited his mother only four times after that. When pa was a young man, he was a delivery man. In those days, horse drawn wagons were used to haul produce to nearby towns. This family also had an adopted daughter, because they had been childless. Pa stayed with them until he was to go for military training. He wanted to visit his mother one more time. She told him to go to America where his two brothers already were. Brother Michael was on a farm in Cato, and Wolfgang in Brillion. Pa's mother packed his clothing, and as soldiers were patrolling the main roads for draft evaders, they piled up a big load of wood on the wagon. Pa sat in the center as they crossed the inspection line and he made it to the ship. There was another inspection, but the captain hid the boys in the boiler room, and they were on their way to America. Pa landed at Baltimore, Maryland, and then traveled to Wisconsin. He carried a pair of pigeons along all the way. Uncle Anton came two weeks later. Before our father was married, he went to "Sleepy Eye" to work for a farmer. One day when pa was on his way to the bank, with money he had earned, several men on horseback asked him for a match. Pa said he'd give anything for a match. They looked him over and said, "He doesn't seem to have anything". Pa went back home with the money hidden in his shoe. The next day, the news came that the bank was robbed by Jesse James and his gang. After our parents were married, , they left Brillion and went to New Ulm, Minnesota, to take up a homestead. The Indians were robbing and killing there, so after a few months, they came back to Brillion. There they settled on a forty-acre farm near Kasson. Mother's two brothers, Charlie and John, helped to build a log cabin. That part of the house is still standing. Other rooms and an upstairs were added. Robert , sold the place in 1919. Pa spoke a different dialect than his family, being raised in Bavaria. We asked ma how she met pa. She said she was waiting at a shoe shop having her shoes repaired, when pa walked in. It was love at first sight. But, her father didn't think so. He had a man picked for her and invited him to the home. Mother locked herself in her room upstairs and wouldn't come out. Her father was very provoked. He said, "if you marry this poor man, you will get no inheritance", and he kept his word. Pa and ma were married in the old St. Michael's Church, , by Father Fessler. They are buried in what was called Kasson Cemetery, three miles northeast of Brillion. That mission church was taken down some years later. When ma's mother came to America on a sailboat, they sailed for six weeks. She knitted a pair of cotton stockings to keep her mind off the storms. The rosary was her companion. She brought along a hand-carved statue of Mary, which was always honored. Our parents were blessed with twelve children. Three sons died as infants, and a daughter, Clara, fell into hot water as a child, which caused her to be retarded and she died at age twenty-four. The story was often told of one of our fore-fathers, Schmitpetter, (*), who was a feather-merchant. He once was stopped by a man who had a lottery ticket. He wanted to exchange it for a meal ticket. Schmitpetter gave him money for a meal and after some coaxing, accepted the lottery ticket. The ticket turned out to pay so much money, that the bank couldn't pay it all at one time. He was the talk of the town. Soon after, Schmitpetter was in a tavern, when a man whispered, "those two men there, want to kill you, leave your hat, cane and run". He ran and hid in a grain shock. When hearing the men looking for him, he made a vow, if he would be safe, he would use the money for charity. Therefore, in 1836, the church and convent in Hirschau were built. The convent was built by his sister. When Schimtpetter died, he was buried beneath this church. God blessed this village with many vocations to the priesthood and religious life, more than any other place in Europe.
(*) Michael PRITZL's grandfather was named Michael Schmidtpetter. The man who is buried in the church at Hirschau and is given credit for building the church is Andreas Schmidtpetter. It's possible that Andreas and Michael Schmidtpetter were brothers.

BIOGRAPHIE: Michael and Marie's home - from Barbara PRITZL LEONARD - 6/02/89 It was one of those tall houses with two screened porches on either end. It was gray, trimmed in white and was built back in the days when they still used square nails. It had four bedrooms upstairs and one down-stairs, a large kitchen with a table, and wood stove. The stove stayed there and was used until it was torn down in the late 50's. There was a large living/dining room with an old pendulum clock on the wall. Outside, in the early days, was a large apple cellar with a dirt roof. There was also a barn with a top story. It had two very deep silos which my father built as a young man. They were made of cement and were mostly underground.
From Barbara PRITZL LEONARD - 6/20/89 - Ed. notes It seems Michael bought the fruit ranch in Fruitland sight unseen and paid quite a hefty price for it. They packed up bag and baggage and traveled by train from Wisconsin to Fruitland only to find their fruit ranch had only twigs of trees and they were not able to bear fruit for a number of years. Michael Pritzl and my father had to work for wages until the trees got big enough. This was quite demeaning for Michael, who appears in his pictures to be quite a dignified person. I am not sure what he did in the old country, but my mother (I think) told me he was the Mayor of the town. . They used to hitch up a horse and wagon and travel five miles each Sunday to Mass at New Plymouth since there was no Catholic church in Fruitland (and still isn't). My father remembered his dad making them shine their shoes to perfection and pass inspection before departing for church. Christmas was always a big deal for them and even though they were not wealthy, the children always got a nice gift. One thing they used to always get on Christmas was an orange. At Easter they got hard boiled eggs which was quite a treat as the hens did not lay during the winter. Grandma would save the eggs up for Easter. They butchered pigs often. Michael would seize it by the ear, slit it's throat and let it run around squealing and bleeding, as it bled out better that way. Grandma would can the pork, or cook it and put it in a crock, put lard over it and store it in the cool cellar. She also smoked hams, bacon and sausages in the smoke house. The sausages, of course, were made by stuffing cooked, seasoned pork into the small intestine casing. They also made what they called liverwurst, which did not taste a bit like the kind that you get in the store. You cooked the liver, heart and head, took the meat and ground it through a sausage grinder, along with onions, garlic and bread, salt and pepper. It was then sliced and fried. We used to have it every Christmas after Midnight Mass. Rye bread with caraway seed was a staple along with sauerkraut. Often, caraway seeds were put in the sauerkraut. It was very mild tasting. You cooked the sauerkraut with a pork roast and then thickened the juice with flour. They also made Knodel (dumplings) from home made bread, mixed with salt and milk to form a firm ball. You polished off this ball of stuff with water on your hands and then dropped it in boiling salted water and cooked it until it was firm. You had to cut it with a knife or fork. They were placed in the pork roast sauerkraut dish. I think they had sauerkraut almost every day for dinner along with canned vegetables, fruits, potatoes and meat. My father said his mother made a lot of chocolate cakes too. Grandma also raised chickens. I can remember watching her take a pole with a hook on the end and snagging a chicken, grabbing it by the feet, marching over to the chopping block and lopping off its head with an axe. It would flop around headless for awhile and bleed out. Then she would plunge it into a milk bucket filled with boiling water so that the feathers would strip right off. The smell was memorable. She would then take this hapless chicken over to the wood stove, light a piece of paper and singe off the pin feathers after which she cleaned it. I never knew my grandfather, Michael Pritzl. He died when my father was 27 years old, and my father was made legal guardian of the family. His mother did not speak much English. When World War II came along, it inspired her to learn and speak more English. She did try to teach my brother and I some German or Bayrisch words, specifically the Lord's Prayer.

Joseph Pritzl, 83, of 118 Pine Street, Brillion, a retired carpenter, died Thursday afternoon in a Green Bay hospital after falling a few weeks ago and suffering a fractured hip. Funeral will be 9 a.m. Monday from the Luecker Funeral Home, Brillion, with a solemn requiem mass at 9:30 a.m. at St Mary Catholic Church, Brillion celebrated by a brother Rev. Alfred Pritzl, assisted by four nephews; Rev. Peter Pritzl and Rev. Hubert Kleiber, DePere, Rev. Richard Kleiber, Green Bay and Rev. John Pritzl, Fairchild, Wis. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr Pritzl was born in Branch, Wis. September 5, 1872, son of the late Mr & Mrs Wolfgang Pritzl, who in 1878, moved his family to a farm in Brillion. Brillion - Joseph Pritzl, retired carpenter, 118 Pine Street, died Thursday afternoon in Green Bay, from complications suffered after a fall on the ice at his home two and a half weeks ago. He was born Sept. 5, 1873(2) in Branch, Manitowoc, County and has lived in the immediate area since 1878. His brother, the Rev Alfred Pritzl, pastor of St Boniface Catholic church, Manitowoc, will conduct services at 9:30 Monday morning at St Mary Catholic church, Brillion. Assisting will be four nephews and the Rev Raymond Schauer, resident pastor. The nephews include the Rev Richard Kleiber, Green Bay, the Rev Peter Pritzl and the Rev Hubert Kleiber, DePere, and the Rev John Pritzl, Fairchild. The rosary will be recited at 7 o'clock Sunday night and at 8 o'clock at the Leucker Funeral Home, Brillion. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 o'clock Saturday night. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. BIOGRAPHIE: Frank X. Pritzl (1874-1959) by Rev. John Pritzl
Frank X. Pritzl was born November 23, 1874, baptized November 29, 1874 in St. Ann's Church, Francis Creek, Wisconsin. Frank became a cheese maker. He bought a cheese factory between Thorp and Stanley, about 2-3 miles southwest of Thorp. The address was Stanley Wis. Rural Route, but the family belonged to St. Bernards Parish in Thorp. He married Mary Meidl in 1899. Mary, born October 4, 1876, was the daughter of Blasius Meidl and Maggie Weber. The Meidl farm was near Whitelaw Wis. All five children, Mayme, Frank, Louise, John and Arnold, were born while they lived at R.F.D. Stanley. The cheese factory and home were built in 1889 and the home still stands and is inhabited (1985). A new cheese factory was built across the road years later and the original factory was converted into a tavern, which burned down. A new tavern was built in its place. Because of his wife's health (tuberculosis), Frank sold his property and moved to Helena, Montana, arriving there April 9th, 1910. He had planned to take up a homestead out there but his wife was admitted to the hospital on April 15th, where she died the 27th April, 1910. Frank returned to Wisconsin with a corpse and five small children. Toward the end of 1910, Frank X. and his brother Charles bought the Koch Brothers Hardware business in Brillion, Wisconsin. Son Frank Jr., died in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton, Wisconsin on July 4, 1913. He would have been 12 on Aug. 1st. Frank X. married a widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Melbinger Ziehr at Thorp in 1913. She died in St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield, Wisconsin, on April 12, 1939. Peter and Elizabeth Ziehr had adopted a daughter, Regina, who became part of the family but retained the name Ziehr. At the end of 1919, Frank X. sold his interest in the Brillion hardware business to a younger brother, Adolf, and the family moved to Marshfield. After looking around for two years to enter another business venture, Frank X. bought an unoccupied business building on North Central Avenue in Marshfield and stocked it with hardware. The building had previously been Keels photography store with a skylight and photo display windows at the front of the store. This is the origin of the Pritzl Hardware store in Marshfield. Later this business was shared with his son, Arnold, who, later shared it with his son Gerald, now the sole owner. Frank X. died in St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, Wisconsin, 22 Oct. 1959. He had spent the last few years of his life at McCormick Memorial Home, Green Bay, Wisconsin. His brother Anton and his sister Louise also were at the McCormick Memorial Home before their deaths. Frank X. was buried next to his first wife Mary in the parish cemetery at Whitelaw. Mary had preceded him in death by 49 years. The funeral Mass was by his son Reverend John Pritzl in St. John's Church, Marshfield, Wisconsin.

Charles F Pritzl, 82, a retired Brillion hardware dealer, 126 Park Avenue, Brillion, died Friday at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan. He had been hospitalized since undergoing surgery April 2. Mr Pritzl was born September 18, 1884 at Brillion, son of the late Wolfgang and Frances Lemberger Pritzl. He married Ellen Leukel Aug. 28, 1912 at Brillion and was in the hardware business more than 50 years, retiring in 1960. Mrs. Pritzl died in 1950. He was a member of the Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin. Survivors include three daughters: Mrs Donald (Katherine) Huebner of Sheboygan, Mrs Lambert (Rita) Crymes of Alexandria, Va., and Miss Alice Pritzl of San Francisco, Calif.; a son Lt. Col. BIOGRAPHIE: The ECKER Family - from Mrs Bernice Ecker Riendl on 2/26/89 My father & mother started their married life farming. Edmund, my oldest brother was born on their first farm and Norbert was born on their second farm that they had purchased near the Ecker & Pritzl farms. Shortly after, my grandfather Ecker purchased the Auditorium in Brillion, Wis. My father and his brother Joseph formed a partnership to maintain it. This building was the community center of the village. It included athletic activities, dances, movies, etc,, The Joseph Ecker family dwelled upstairs and our family had the downstairs. Irene, Howard and I were born in this building which has since been converted to a bowling alley. After Adolph Pritzl's wife, Mamie, died of the flu during World War I, our family moved in with Uncle Adolph & Leon. In 1924, our family moved to Hilbert, Wis., where my father had purchased a hardware store. We were all reared and educated through high school in Hilbert. In 1942, mother & dad moved to Green Bay, Wis., where dad was employed as a machinist for the Hudson-Sharp Co. They were very happy during this period. I was employed in Green Bay and moved home while Norbert & Harold were attending St Norbert's college. Irene was also employed there. Since mother & dad were both musicians, our whole family was involved in music. During the '30's, dad formed the Ecker Orchestra. It featured dad on the violin, Edmund on sax & clarinet, Norbert on sax, clarinet, flute and piccolo, Irene on piano and Harold on trumpet. Vocalists were Irene and Bernice. We played at many local dance areas as far as Appleton. We also did a few broadcasts from WHBY in Appleton. My three brothers worked their way through college with their musical ability. This was during the depression when money was unavailable. We did have a happy family life with our music. (I did play piano and trombone, but never practiced).

Adolph next married widow Elsie Tikalski Smith who already had a daughter, Cecilia. Adolph and Elsie in turn had a daughter Eleanor. Adolph was a tinsmith like his brother Charles and worked in a shipyard at Manitowoc, Wisconsin during World War I. After the war he opened a tin shop in Marshfield, Wisconsin and later bought out his brother Franks share of the Brillion Hardware business that he shared with Charles. When his mother died, , he bought her house in Brillion. After his wife Mamie died, , the John & Caroline Ecker family lived with him for about a year, followed by the Joseph & Louise Kleiber family for about 3 years. . BIOGRAPHIE - The following is entitled "Introduction to Memoirs of Sacerdos", and written by Rev. Alfred Pritzl shortly before he died in Dec 1981.
My father's first name was Wolfgang. My mother's Franciska. My father had to take some ribbing because of his first name. They were good names in southern Bavaria (Germany). St Wolfgang was a holy and dedicated missionary who became the Apostle of Bavaria. That is why the name Wolfgang is found frequently in my parents homeland. The homestead, Hirschau, lay within 5 miles of the border between Germany and Bohemia.
My father was 18 years old when he migrated from Hirschau to Manitowoc County. My mother was 6 years old when her parents, Joseph Lemberger & Katherine Huber Lemberger migrated from Lamm Bavaria to America. They had a rough crossing. The trip in a sailing vessel took over 12 weeks. Towards the end of the voyage, water and food were rationed.
They brought with them a deep, solidly Catholic faith. That proved itself in the Catholic churches and schools they managed somehow to build soon after their arrival in blessed America. My father was a skilled carpenter. He and a partner built the first Catholic church in Whitelaw, Wisconsin.
Since most of the original pioneers built their houses and barns of logs, there was little to do for a skilled carpenter. He, therefore, bought a small farm (40 acres) a mile south of Branch, Wis. Manitowoc County. Between his carpentry and farming he tried to make a living for his growing family. Quite soon, however, he noticed that his plan did not provide adequately for his needs. He looked for a bigger farm. He finally settled on a farm of 120 acres at Kasson, Wis. Not all of it was fertile, there were stretches of swamp land. But for better or worse, this was it. Here we were born. Here we were baptized. Here we were born poor but the family background was a good one.
I grew up amidst humble surroundings, the youngest of 14 children. Two of these children (girls) died very early in their lives. Caroline, of a children's sickness at the age of 6 weeks, and Sophia, badly burnt. at the age of 2 years. Twelve of us, 8 boys and 4 girls, grew to adulthood.
At home we spoke Baierisch, a dialect of German. When I was 6 years old I was told to go to the public school, (the Bluff School), two miles distant from home. I was born Dec 26, 1895. In the spring of 1900, I was bundled up and packed off to school without knowing a word of English.
In those days we learned our English words from a chart. Our teacher got some surprising answers from me. Die Katz (Cat), die Kuh (Cow) and der hund (Dog).
The teacher, Ellen Luekel, was patient with me. Unknown to me, my brother Charlie, was dating her. I was a little surprised at the interest my teacher took in Charlie. One day, before school, she asked, "What is Charlie doing today?" "He is hauling Mist (Manure)". Later on, their dating brought them together in a good marriage.
I have wondered how I learned to speak English in 2 years and three months in the public school. I must have murdered the Kings English. I have no memory of that phase of my life. I can only conclude, that psychologically speaking, I did not want to be different than those about me who spoke English. Of course, there were others around me, in the Bluff School, who were in the same predicament as I, too much German mixed with English.
At the Kasson Catholic church, there was a great shortage of altar boys. Accordingly I was pressed into service at an early age. I was the youngest and the only server for several years. Thus it happened that I was serving for a funeral. Amongst the mourners, there were several of my schoolmates, Walter Tesch, among others, who saw me in my servers regalia. They teased me about wearing a kittl (skirt) in church.
In the fall of 1900, I fell victim to an attack of appendicitis. The cure, before anesthesia, was called the "hunger cure", no food for a week. That was Dr. Meyer's prescription, no food for a week, and then only small portions of pigeon broth. Believe me, I learned what a torture hunger can be. I learned why they talk about "the pangs of hunger". Somehow, I survived the hunger cure and the accompanying high fevers.
My stint of education in the public school came to the end in June 1902. My mother gave me the directive, "next fall you will go to St. Mary's school in Brillion, 3 ½ miles from home. You have to learn about the Faith. You are big enough now to walk the extra distance". I, however, protested bitterly. My friends were in the public school. The night the opening of the Catholic school, I cried myself to sleep. However, after a week I was willing to go to St. Mary's. I had made new friends, especially among the youngsters that lived close to the church at Kasson.
For 5 years I was under the devoted care of Sisters Pacifica, Gregory and Emily Wegner. Sister Pacifica was a motherly kind of person. She was in charge of the primary grades. Sister Gregory was in charge of the middle grades, and then there was Sister Emily- a work horse if there ever was one. She was a real educator. She worked hard and expected every one else to work hard. Later on, Sister Emily filled most of the high positions her Order had to offer.
I have little to confess about my school years at St. Mary's, except the long distance to walk to and from school- 3 ½ miles. It was a long trek, especially during May and June when the sun got heated up. Later on I realized that we had a solid education in all secular subjects and also in our "catechism".
One morning before the catechism class, Father Garthaus asked whether any boy or boys in the 7th or 8th grade would like to become priests. About 12 hands were raised. I was in the 7th grade. I did not raise my hand. Father Garthaus stopped directly in front of my desk and asked me, "Don't you want to be a priest?". "No Father", I answered. Father went on to say that he would start a Latin class. He told me to join the class. "It won't hurt you". So we had Latin class every day at 12:30. For a short while I joined the class because the priest said I should. After only a few weeks the class for the priesthood lost in membership until there were only two of us in the class- Tom Ryan and I. Fathers Garthaus' ambition dropped too, until I was the only one left. From that time forward, I had a feeling in my mind that I should enter a college for the priesthood after I finished the 8th grade.
In Sep. 1910, I became a student at St. Lawrence College, Mt. Calvary, Wis. The Capuchen Fathers were my teachers for the next 7 years. I liked it very much at Mt. Calvary. I made the remark one time, "These are the happiest years of my life". It was a true estimate of my life at Calvary-no worries, no cares. It was not the daily drudgery or studies, though we appreciated their necessity, that entertained us. We had our share of sports, dramatics and music,- both vocal and instrumental. My trusted companion was my clarinet in the band and orchestra. That is what attracted me, the music. We had a good band and orchestra at Calvary during the 7 years I attended there. Hubert Duren was our director during most of the 7 years.
The camaraderie of our classmates was phenomenal. My brothers and sisters were not nearly as close to me as were my class mates. There was enough tom-foolery and horseplay to take away all unnecessary pressures.
My studies took me to Calvary for 7 years for High School and College courses. Next I spent two years at the Grand Seminaire Quebec, and two more years of theological studies at St. Francis Seminary at St. Francis, Wisc. I got my M.A. degree there.
Life at the two seminaries was very good. I had a feeling to be serious in my studies because all of them related directly to the priesthood. My two years at Quebec were especially interesting. The language of the house was French. That gave me a wonderful opportunity to understand and speak French. Then too, they made me welcome, - all my fellow students were either French or Irish. We were in the middle of World War I. All of them knew that I was of German descent. They never embarrassed me by any snide remarks about my nationality. They were gentlemen.
At St. Francis, I had one difficulty. My studies in moral and dogmatic theology did not mesh or dove-tail. It makes me wonder whether it is a good idea to switch from one seminary to another as I was asked to do.
I faintly remember an incident of interest during my two years at St. Francis. Father Eilers was our Prefect. He noticed that I was very interested in music. John Phillip Sousa was coming to the Milwaukee Auditorium on a concert tour. Father Eilers told me I could go to the concert if I wished. I always appreciated Father Eilers consideration. The concert was a grand rendition of wonderful music.
In May 1920, the decisive day of Ordination to the subdeaconate came along. The question of celibacy had to be decided. One of the rare sleepless nights, before Ordination, was a new experience for me.
One year later, May 20, 1921, the great day of Ordination to the priesthood arrived,, with complications. The year 1921 was a year of "ad limina" visits for all Bishops in the U.S. Nearly all of them were in Rome. On the evening of May 19th, the news came that ArchBishop Messmer, who was to ordain us, was sick with a 103 fever. He manfully fought his way through the fever. Our ordination proceeded as planned and as advertised.This introduction leads me into the "meat" of this pamphlet, Catholic Chuckles. -----

Father Alfred was the youngest of the family and was ordained a priest in 1921 for the Diocese of Green Bay, Wis. He served in several parishes and retired in Green Bay. After a very short stay he died at a Rest Home in Manitowoc, Wis. He was the last of the family to die. A nephew, Father Hubert Kleiber, also retired in Green Bay, took care of the final affairs and funeral arrangements and died of a heart attack six days after Father Alfred died.

The Rev. Alfred A. Pritzl, age 85, died Friday morning at a Manitowoc Hospital. He was born December 26, 1896 in Brillion to the late Mr. and Mrs. Wolfgang Pritzl. He attended St. Lawrence College, Mount Calvary, Laval University (Gran Seminaire) Quebec City, Canada and St Francis Seminary, Milwaukee. He was ordained May 21, 1921 at St Francis Seminary Chapel, by Archbishop Sebastian Mesmer. He then served as an assistant pastor at St. Luke Church, Two Rivers, and then he was pastor at St. Mary's Parish, Chilton, then at St. Isidor Parish, Osman, then at Holy Cross Parish, Mishicot and at Holy Rosary Parish, New Holstein, St Boniface Parish, Manitowoc and St Augustine Parish, Chilton. After his retirement in 1970, he lived in Green Bay. Survivors include many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by six brothers and seven sisters. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. His body will be received at St. Phillip's Church, Green Bay, at 4:30 p.m. Sunday by Msgr. Richard Maufort. There will be a wake service at 8 p.m. Sunday evening. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 Monday morning at St. Phillip's Church with the Most Reverend Aloysius J. Wycisio officiating. Entombment will be in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. The Proko-Wall Funeral Home, Green Bay, is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs Blasius Riederer, 66, route 1, Cato, died today at home, following six months illness. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:15 a.m. from the home and at 9:30 from the St Mary's Catholic church at Clarks Mills, the Rev. Lawrence Loerke officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Mrs Riederer, nee Mary Pritzl, was born in Cato in 1877 and in 1897 was married to Mr Riederer and they located on the present homestead farm. Mrs Barbara A Tuschl, 92, of 1836 Belmont St Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 9:45 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and 10:30 a.m. St Mary Catholic Church, Clark Mills. The Rev Leander Nickel will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs Tuschl, nee Barbara A Pritzl, was born Oct. 7, 1879, daughter of the late Michael and Katherine Koerner Pritzl. She was married to John Tuschl, Sr., May 13, 1901, at Clark Mills. They resided in Clark Mills until 1943 when they moved to Manitowoc. He preceded her in death April 15, 1947. She was employed at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, for 16 years until her retirement in 1959. She was a member of St Mary Catholic Church Christian Mothers Altar Society. Survivors include six sons; Roman, of Rt 4, Manitowoc, John Jr., of Manitowoc, Anthony of Rt 1, Cato, Joseph of Madison, and George and Leon of Milwaukee; a daughter, Mrs Gerald (Fern) Esser of Los Angeles, Calif., a sister, Mrs John Meyer of Medford, Wis.; 21 grandchildren and 43 great grand-children. John A Pritzl, died 26 March 1966, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Burial will be in St Mary Church Cemetery, Clarks Mills. He was born 27 December 1884 in the town of Cato, to the late Michael and Kathryn Koerner Pritzl. He married Caroline Bohman in 1912 and she died 6 June 1918. He then married Mary Strauss on 15 July 1924. They were dairy farmers. Mrs Sylvester Rohrer Sr. of 1615 Columbus St., Manitowoc, died Sunday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Mrs. Rohrer, who was 79, had been a patient there for two weeks. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 11 a.m. at St Andrew Catholic Church. A cousin, Rev. Alfred Pritzl, will be celebrant at the Mass, the Rev. Allen Walt, deacon and the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Henry Letz, sub-deacon. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Mrs Rohrer, nee Theresa Pritzl, was born June 9, 1879, at Brillion, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Zipperer Pritzl. She came to Manitowoc in 1900 where, Sept. 9, 1902, she was married to Sylvester Rohrer. The couple marked the golden anniversary of their wedding in 1952. Mrs Rohrer was a member of St Theresa Altar Society of St Andrew Church. She is survived by her husband, four daughters; Mrs Ervin Thiesen, Mrs Ben Levendusky and Mrs Carl Willman of Manitowoc, and Mrs Anton Lemberger of Whitelaw; two sons, Robert and Sylvester Jr. of Manitowoc; three brothers, Frank of Hortonville, Louis of Brillion and Robert of Appleton; three sisters, Sister M DeLelis of Neopit, Wis., Mrs Anton Bohman of Hortonville and Mrs Ed Sommers of Appleton; 25 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Louis W. Rank Sr., 66 of Brillion, died early today following a lingering illness. Funeral services will be held at 8.30 a. m. Thursday at the Luecker funeral home in Brillion and at 9 a.m. at St Mary Catholic church in Brillion. The Rev Raymond Schauer will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may Call at the funeral home after noon on Tuesday. Mrs. Rank, nee Mary Pritzl, was born in the town of Brillion in 1884 and was married to Mr. Rank in 1905. They lived on a farm north of Brillion until seven years ago when they moved to the city. She was a member of the Christian Mothers altar society at St Mary Catholic church. Survivors are the husband; four sons, Anthony of Westfield; Louis Jr of Brillion, Francis of New Holland, Pa., and John of Brillion; four daughters, Mrs. Emery Clarke of Oshkosh, Marion, at home, Mrs. Leo Quirk of Manitowoc and Mrs. Charles Wilda of Manitowoc; three brothers, Frank of Stevensville. Louis of Brillion and Robert of Greenville; four sisters, Mrs. Sylvester Rohrer of Manitowoc, Sister M. Louis J Pritzl, route 2 Brillion, age 84, passed away Monday at Belin Memorial Hospital, Green Bay following a short illness. He was born February 21, 1886 at Brillion. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pritzl. He married Anna Eigenberger May 7, 1912 in Clarks Mills. He had been employed locally his entire life. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Brillion. Mrs. Pritzl preceded him in death in 1932. Survivors include three daughters; Mrs. Walter (Mary) Lashua, Neenah; Mrs. Earl (Veronica) Voss, Brillion; Mrs. Lawrence (Dorothy) Kubale, Green Bay; three sons, Arthur, Grimms, Wisc; Elmer W., Route 2, Reedsville; Louis J., Milwaukee; 35 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; three sisters; Mrs. Anton Bohman, Hortonville; Mrs. Edward Sommers, Appleton; Sister M. Robert A. Pritzl Sr. Age 87, died at 5:15 p.m. January 19, 1978 at his residence. He was born July 1, 1890 in Brillion and married Elizabeth (Elsie) Gresl in 1916 in Whitelaw. They farmed in Greenville until 1957 at which time they moved to Appleton. Mr. Pritzl was a 25 year member of the Third Order of St. Francis. Survivors include his wife "Elsie"; five daughters; Sister Lucille, O.S.F., Milwaukee; Mrs. William (ElDora) Jimenez, El Cajon, Califorinia; Mrs. Ronald (Marie) Jezerc, Appleton; Mrs. Merl (Bernice) Meier, Chatham, ILL; and Mrs. Donald (Lavern) Monyette, Green Bay; seven sons; Raymond, Necedah; Victor, Darboy; Robert Jr., West Allis; Julius, Richard, George and Harold, all of Appleton; 52 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, two sisters; Mrs. Anthony (Regina) Bohman, Stephensville; and Sister M. De Lellis, Manitowoc Convent. The complete funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Wilbert N Staudenmaier officiating. Internment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenville. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday and after 8 p.m. Monday until the cortege leaves for the church. Nachrichten: On July 21st I boarded the Air Wisconsin plane at 1:30pm for Chicago. 45 minutes later I was in Chicago where I was to fly a Lufthansa 747 due to leave at 6:30pm , non-stop to Frankfort, by way of Montreal and London. A Notre Dame Sister from St. Paul, Minnesota was my seatmate. She was going home to Bayern, a little place near Munich. An interesting companion. The ride was smooth, no turbulence. We were soon served a good supper. After that, movies. It seemed to me like midnight when we saw the sun coming up in the east, a beautiful sight. Before long, a big breakfast. In slightly more than seven hours we landed in Frankfort. The country-side could be seen as we were coming down where we had only seen cloud banks before. A few hours later I boarded a smaller plane to Nurnberg. At Nurnberg, Alfred Seidl (Joe Kohlnhofer's nephew), met me. He picked me out right away! (I had sent his sister my passport picture). I stayed at their home that night. He and Mary, his lovely wife, made me feel right at home. The next morning Alfred took me to Passau by car, a 3 1/2 hour ride through the beautiful countryside. Germany is surely beautiful. I loved their flower-box windows. Everywhere you saw them. Got my first glimpse of the Donau as we neared Passau. I said, "I thought it would look more blue". (The Blue Danube). Alfred said, "Wait until you get to Passau, you'll see it is blue". The fields along the way looked beautiful, grain ready to harvest. What a thrill to see Marie, , her son Paul, his wife Ernie and their 16 year old son Peter, after writing to them since the 1940's. We had gotten to know them soon after they had been driven out of their homeland. What a welcome we got. Their home was built 11 years ago . Marie lives in the downstairs, Paul and Ernie on the 1st floor and Ernie's mother upstairs. A wonderful arrangement. The house is on a sloping lot, - unusual, but so convenient. Paul teaches and Marie taught 46 years, (I think she said). Marie's husband died two years ago. He had stayed in Czechoslovakia until a few years ago. They live a short distance from the Mariahilf Kirche Pilgrimage. What a privilege to be able to go there for Mass every day! The Capuchins are in charge of the Pilgrimage. Passau is an interesting city, - 2000 years old. Looks Italian, An Italian architect planned the city they told me. The fortresses built in the time of the Romans are still intact. It is unique in that the Danube, the Inn, and the Ilz rivers flow together right in the city. Oh yes, where the Danube and the Inn join, the Danube "is" blue and the Inn, green. St. Stephen's Cathedral, (known as the "Dom"), stand out. Centuries old and beautiful. It has the largest church organ in the world. I heard it play. The narrow cobblestone streets intrigued me. Of course the newer part of the city is modern, - to me, not as pretty. The 1st Sunday there we went to Sharding in Austria for dinner. "Liberknodl" - delicious! I soon learned to like their beer, - ours is nothing compared to it. On July 27th. we drove to the border. We saw the barbed wire entanglements and the towers. We drove through the Bayrisher Wald, - beautiful, - saw the Ober, - drank Pilsner beer, - the small Osser Mtns. At 11:00 am we got to the area where we could look, (with field glasses), over to Hirschau and Springenberg. Could see the roof of the "Friedl" house well and the church, (not too plain for me). Marie and Paul said they could see that the barn door was off yet since the day they were driven out. (beim Esinrei) What a feeling, - to be so near and yet so far. What those poor people suffered! They carried what they could to the border and there it was stolen, - they had absolutely nothing but what they had on. Next we went to Neukirchen Von Heiligen Blut. Wolfahts platz! Had dinner in Lamm. Barbara Kohlnhofer Seidl is buried in Lamm. We visited her grave. We passed the school building in Lambach were Marie taught for 7 years. It had living quarters in it, - lucky, - she could take in her homeless family, her sister Fannie and 3 children, her mother, and her four brothers one after another when they came home from the war. They had nothing, - but at least they could be together, - even though starving. They knew what hunger really was. On July 30th, we went to the Salz Kommergut. First glimpse of the beautiful Alps. Ate at dem "Weissen Rossl" at St. Wolfgang, - on to Bad Ischl and Salzburg. Mozart's birthplace was pointed out to me. August 4th, at 9:00 am, we were off to Auerbach to visit the Pritzl nuns, Reinholda and Felicia. ("Peppi", - she said she was). What a visit we had! Sr. Reinholda said to me, "Hona ma denkt, wos wead des fua a feine Dam sa, von Amerika, davall ees med ondest vie mia!" Homa'n Bohmerwald g'sunga. Marie's niece, Sr. Juliana was with us too. The Rev. Mother too. Sr. Augusta was there at the Convent the week before. Too bad we missed her. We visited the graves of Srs.Henriette and Johanna. Late in the day we left for Kimanath to spend the night with the Henry Seidl family. Nice visit with a pleasant family. The next day we visited Georg Seidl in a nursing home. He had lost a leg as a child and later lost the other one. 5th August, 10:00 am Mass at Mariahilf. Latin Mass sung by a mixed choir, - beautiful. Communion is given in the hand but a few still receive on their tongue, I did. Hosts are tan, - made of whole wheat. On August 9th, we went to Munich. On our way we stopped in Birkah where my father grew up. When my grandfather died a brother came a day or two late for the funeral. My father, who was 4 at the time, ran into the house to tell his mother, "Da Votta keamed hoam, is auf a weissen Ross". That touched the uncle so, he begged to take the boy home with him. He did, - and grandmother, (they told me), never forgave herself for letting him go. My father came to America in 1872. The Schweiger family knew of him. Had a nice visit. What a thrill to be where my father was, once upon a time at home. We went to Altotting, - great privilege. Also prayed at Bro. Konrads tomb. His remains are visible. Marie and I went into Donisl's in Munich and had their famous Weisswurst and Munchener beer. We often walked over into Austria. They were amazed that I could use their dialect, - hadn't used it since mother died in 1925. Marie knew no English, but her son Paul speaks English fluently, besides 6 or 7 other languages. Russian is one of them. He spent 6 weeks in Leningrad teaching Russian and English this summer. And twice before that. Their son Peter always used English, - said he wanted to practice it. Knowing the dialect certainly made it much more fun. Our family had a dialect of it's own. Pa, growing up where he did, spoke differently than mothers family. The Zipperers came from the Hirschau area, - so we used some from both sides. They told me over there how the Hirschau church came into being, - about Andreas Schmidtpetter. Any way the wonderful stay had to come to an end. Together, Maria and I took the train to Nurnberg the 1st of September. We spent the night at her niece's apartment and I started for home the 2nd. Her nephew (Fannie's boy Guenther) took her to Gipfenberg, where her niece Edeltraud was to be married on Saturday the 4th. It took 8 1/2 hours flying (non-stop again) to get to Chicago. Through Customs took a while, - thought I'd miss my little plane to Appleton, but made it. There were 32 of my family waiting at the airport! All but a brass band!

Age 84, died Sunday in New London. She was born June 13, 1895 in Brillion and had been a resident of the Stephensville area for the past 60 years. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, the Ladies Guild and the Third Order of St. Francis. She was also a member of the Never Idle Homemaker's Club. She is survived by three sons; Anthony, Edward and William, all of Rt 1, Hortonville; two daughters; Mrs. William (Mary) Cummings, Rt 1 Hortonville; Mrs. William (Therese) Corr, Riverside, California; 38 grand-children, 16 great-grandchildren; a sister; Sister M. De Lellis, New Berlin, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, a daughter, three brothers, four sisters, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with the Rev. Florian Resheske officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Sister DeLellis Pritzl, 89, of Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc, died Friday evening, April 10, 1987, at the Convent. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Convent Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev, Flavian Blong, O.F.M. Cap. and burial will be in the Holy Family Convent Cemetery. Sister was born Helen Theresa Pritzl on June 15, 1897, at Brillion, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Zipperer Pritzl. She entered the convent in 1914 and professed her vows in 1918. Sister DeLellis earned credits at State Normal College of Ohio University, Athens, Ohio; Holy Family Normal, Manitowoc; State Normal School, Oshkosh; Stevens Point Normal, Stevens Point; and Holy Family College, Manitowoc. Sister taught at Holy Family Grade School, Lindsay, Nebraska; St Mary's, Rhinelander; St Nicholas, Zanesville, Ohio; St John's, Antigo; St Mary's, Clarks Mills; Sts Peter and Paul, Kiel; The Immaculate Conception, Yuma, Arizona; St Peter's, Bapchule, Arizona; St Anthony, Topawa, Arizona; St Mary's, Kaukauna; St Anthony's, Neopit, Wisconsin; and St Joseph's, Waukesha. After her retirement from active ministry, she resided at Ozanam Home, New Berlin, Wisconsin. Since 1983, she has been residing at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc. Biography:
BIOGRAPHY: from DeLellis M Sommers Strong - August, 1995 Our parents, Edward Sommers and Anna Pritzl, met while Anna was living with her invalid mother on the Bohman farm near Hortonville. After her mother passed away, they were married in St Patrick Church in Stephensville were they paid pew rent and sat in the second pew on the right hand side of church every Sunday. Anna sang in the choir for many years. They had bought a 120 acre farm just a few miles NE of Stephenville. They were very happy and enjoyed working on the farm, having a large garden, an orchard of Apple trees, Pear trees and grape vines, berry bushes and they raised chickens and ducks. Dad used work horses for many years. They then bought another 60 acres and a tractor and more machinery. In those days, the neighbors all went back and forth filling silos and thrashing. Mother and dad were blessed with 10 children. On October 6, 1926 twins Harold and Gerald were born at home on the farm. Harold lived 8 hours and Gerald 16 hours. Then there were DeLellis, Catherine, Dorothy, Edward Jr., Eugene, Eunice, Helen and John. Like all children, growing up on the farm, we learned to help every day, working right along with Ma and dad. We helped in the barn, fed the cows and the calves, and horses too, went up in the hay mow and threw the hay down, planted and weeded in the garden, went to the woods and gathered wood for the furnace. One incident I remember was Dorothy throwing wood down the cellar chute and a piece flew up and broke a porch window which scared us all to death. Dad came out, looked at it with a very sober, straight face, took it out, went to the shed, got a new glass, fixed it and never said a word. For three days, us kids were very careful how we did our work. We all walked to the Pershing Grade School, about 1 ½ miles each way. When we got to school, each child had to carry in an armful of wood. We would raise the flag, go next door to the cheese factory for pails of water to put in the water fountain. Our mother did most of all of our sewing, everything from pajamas to our beautiful plaid skirts. We had lots of feed bags that we bleached out, were sewn into aprons, bloomers or what-ever was needed. A lot of the flour sacks the girls hemmed up and did embroidery on them for dish towels and luncheon cloths. Ma even made her own soap using Eagle Lye. Out in the pump house, dad had his tool bench and shoe repair form. Whenever a sole came loose or a heel needed to be tacked on, he fixed it. Ma will always be remembered for all her baking. "Home Made Bread?" NO ! But home canning, making butter and kolatches. Many relatives would take a Sunday ride, stop to see Aunt Anna and Uncle Ed on the farm and have a meal. Oven baked chicken, home-made bread, fresh pies, etc. . and many times went home with something. For the 4th of July, our treat was a watermelon, and on New Years day, we had home made ice cream, made with the hand turned freezer, (Snow, with salt added) around the sides, and sometimes, Ma even put flavoring in. We had a raspberry and strawberry patch and had lots of orders for them as we delivered them too when we dressed chickens and ducks, took them to Appleton to private homes and to Gloudman & Gage (Clothing and grocery store). With the money, Ma did her grocery and clothes shopping. We always had plenty of food and also crates of peaches or whatever we needed. For the kids, dad planted a pickle patch. I'm sure it was more than an acre. What ever we picked, we would load them on the truck, and go to Greenville to the sorting machine. The money from this was ours for clothes, shoes and all of our school supplies. We had plenty of pickles, and one time I can remember we were getting sick of picking them, so once in a while, we would pull a vine out by the roots, hoping some would die, but no, that made the plant next to it grow bigger and with more pickles. We just couldn't get rid of this job. Ma did all of the home canning until later years, we got a freezer from a place in Manitowoc, for our meats and vegetables. We also had a room called the potato cellar. For many years Ma and dad made dandelion, grape and elderberry wine and a small glass every day was considered healthy. There were many times when we would bring friends home from school with us and there would always be plenty for us to eat and do. We had lots of pets to take care of, a dog, a mother cat and her kittens, bandy chickens and a small goat. The goat would watch the back door as he loved to run into the house with the kids, up the steps and jump on that old leather couch. In those days, there would be a "Barn Dance", and everyone came, danced all night and the neighbors enjoyed being together. Always on May 1st, we and the neighbor children would hang "May Baskets". As we grew up, found jobs and got married, Ma and dad sold the farm, moved to Shiocton for a few years and then moved to Appleton where Ma worked at the hospital and dad did different jobs. As of today , there are 5 of us children left to carry on and we all say; What a beautiful life growing up on the farm, learning to do so many things, the "daily Rosary", the Angelus. We are hoping we can pass this on to our children and grandchildren.

Age 75, passed away a 5:30 p.m. on Saturday following a short illness. She was born on July 26, 1899 in Brillion, Wisconsin and lived in Appleton the past 15 years. Survivors include her husband, Edward; four daughters; Mrs. Ken (DeLellis) Strong of Edgar, Wisconsin; Mrs. William (Dorothy) Johnson, Mrs. James (Eunice) Wisner and Mrs. Patrick (Helen) Hart, all of Appleton; two sons; Eugene and John of Appleton; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Carol Sommers of Shiocton; one brother, Robert Pritzl of Appleton; two sisters; Mrs. Regina Bohman of Hortonville, Sister M. De Lellis of New Berlin, Wisconsin; and 28 grandchildren. Three sons and one daughter preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Wednesday morning at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mrs Anna Katherine Becker, 62, wife of Postmaster Michael P. Becker of Brillion, died early today at the family home in the village, following a lingering illness. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the St Mary's Catholic Church in Brillion, the Rev Raymond Schauer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs Becker, nee Anna Pritzl was born in Brillion in 1880 and in 1900 was married to Mr Becker. They have resided continuously in the village. She was a member of the Christian Mothers. BIOGRAPHY: E-Mail from Michelle Pritzl Wood - 7 August, 2000 Prestdale was the name my grandfather Charles picked for the farm when he decided to register his cows with the American Guernsey Association back in 1928 or so. He submitted a couple of names that he thought up, but they had already been taken by someone else on the registry so they sent him a list and he picked Prestdale. The farm was passed onto my dad when Grandpa died in 1970. For the last 15 years Dad had run the farm with the help of a very wonderful "hired man" and his wife. Now Mom runs it with Mike's help. Mom also works outside the farm as an office manager at a gas plant in Nampa, Idaho. The small dairy business is getting tougher and tougher with all the new "corporate" type dairies around now with herds of 1,000 or more. Mom's little farm milks about 60 to 65!!! Milk prices are the lowest price per hundred weight that they've been in a long time. Funny thing - milk prices in the store are the highest they've been ever. Suppose that middle man is making some money??? Suzanne, Kitty and I have been trying to talk Mom into selling the cows and equipment and getting out of the business but she's just not ready to do that yet. I hope the land can always stay in the family. Grandpa and Dad worked that soil and milked those cows with a lot of love!

He moved with his parents in 1905 to Manitowoc, Wis., where he lived until 1919 when he moved to Fruitland. He moved to New Plymouth in 1927 and married Evelyn Hodson there on July 10, 1930. They had resided on a farm southeast of New Plymouth since. He had been in the dairy business. He was a member of the Catholic Church, the American Guernsey Cattle Club,the Idaho Dairyman's Association, was a past director of the ChallengeCreamery Butter Association, and was a purebred Guernsey breeder for 45 years and a member of the Dairyman's Hall of fame. He was official judgefor the American Guernsey Cattle Club. He owned and operated a registered guernsey dairy farm at Granger until his retirement in 1966. In 1985, he and his wife moved to Yakima. He was an avid fisherman and was a past member of the Lincoln Grange. Survivors include his wife, Frances of Yakima; two daughters, Pamela Pritzl of Seattle and Kathleen Halfmoon of Portland, Ore.; a son, Anthony Pritzl of Outlook, Wash.; two grand-daughters Alison Halfmoon of Portland and Jessica Pritzl of Outlook; a brother, Joseph Pritzl of Fruitland, Idaho; and four sisters, Mary Shurts of New Plymouth, Idaho, Louise Shurts of Gaston, Ore., Gertrude McNamee of Seattle and Eleanor of Union Gap. Arthur Pritzl, 75, of Missoula, formerly of Fruitland, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 1984 in a Missoula hospital, of natural causes. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 1985, at Parkview Cemetery, New Plymouth. Rev. John McGoldrick of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, New Plymouth, will officiate, under direction of Shaffer-Jensen Chapel, New Plymouth. Mr. Pritzl, an aviation mechanic, was born Dec. 4, 1909, at Cato, Wisconsin, a son of Michael and Marie Weber Pritzl. John Pritzl of Missoula, died Thursday, Aug. 20 in St Patrick Hospital, of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease. He was born Oct 21, 1913, in Fruitland, Idaho to Michael and Marie Pritzl. He was raised and educated in Idaho, moving to Missoula in 1940. He was employed by Johnson's Flying Service as an aircraft mechanic and later became chief mechanic for the firm. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, but due to his job, remained in Missoula to train aircraft mechanics. During his time with Johnson Flying Service, Mr. Pritzl developed and fabricated many innovations and accessories to improve the saftey, operation and utility of helicopters. He was active in the business until his death. He was a member of Hellgate Lodge No. 383 Benevelovent and Protective Order of Elks. He is survived by a son, Mickey Pritzl, Missoula; two brothers, Joe Pritzl, Fruitland, Idaho and Frank Pritzl, Yakima, Wash.; and four sisters, Mary Shurts, New Plymouth, Idaho, Louise Shurts, Gaston Ore., Gertrude McNamee, Seattle, and Eleanor Pomerene, Yakima. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Livingston- Malletta and Geraghty Funeral Home. At Mr. Pritzl's request, no funeral services are planned.

Father Peter Philip Pritzl, O.Praem, 89, passed to his eternal reward on Sunday, October 3, 1993 after long and faithful service as a member of the Norbertine Community and a Norbertine priest. Father Peter was born on February 5, 1904 in Hollandtown, to Wolfgang and Barbara (Meidl) Pritzl. His home parish is St. Francis, Hollandtown. Father Pritzl graduated from St. Norbert High School, De Pere, in June 1922. In June 1925 he graduated from St. Norbert College, De Pere with a B.A. in Philosophy and he received an M.A. degree in Organic Chemistry in June 1930 from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. While earning his M.A. in Chemistry, Father Pritzl also served as Chaplain at Meriter General Hospital, Madison and at Edgewood Academy. Father Pritzl entered St. Norbert Abbey on August 28, 1923, where he was vested as a novice. On August 28 1925, Father Pritzl professed his Simple Vows and on August 28, 1928 he professed his Solemn Vows. Father Pritzl ordained to the Diaconate on March 22, 1929 and on April 25, 1929 he was ordained to the Priesthood. Father Peter Pritzl was a member of the St. Norbert College Faculty from 1930-1961 where he was a noted Chemistry professor. During this time he also published numerous articles in the field of Chemistry. He served as the Academic Dean of St. Norbert College for a short time as well as an advisor to other campus organizations and programs. He was Master of Novices at St. Michael Priory, Orange, Calif., from June 2, 1961 to October 31, 1961. In January of 1962, following a short assignment at St. Joseph Church of Alverno, Manitowoc, Wis., Father Pritzl went to Montana and served in various parishes until 1974. In 1974 he became active in the Charismatic Renewal Movement in this area and also in Steubenville, Ohio, and in Pecos, N.M. During his retirement, Father Pritzl resided at St. Joseph Priory and in the last three years at St. Norbert Abbey. Father Pritzl held various positions in the NE Wisconsin Section of the American Chemical Society from June, 1937 through May 1940. He was also on the National Committee for Organic Chemical Exams -- the American Chemical Society from August 1948 to June 1961. Father was a member of the Air Pollution Control Committee, City of Green Bay, from September 1947, to June 1961. Awards presented to Father Peter Pritzl include: Certificate of Proficiency from the American Psychiatric Association, 1949; Professor Emeritus, St. Norbert College, 1961; Alma Mater Award, St. Norbert Colloge, 1975; and the 50 year Membership Award, American Chemical Society, 1980. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Cecilia Pitsch, Neenah; nieces; cousins; and the Norbertine Community. He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters. Visitation Tuesday, October 5, 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, October 6, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at St. Norbert Abbey Church. Our brother Peter Pritzl was born in Hollandtown , Wisconsin in 1904. After graduating from St. Norbert High and a year at the college, he joined the Order in 1923. He was a Latin teacher at St. Norbert High from 1925 until 1929, having taken his solemn vows in 1928.
In 1930, Pete earned an M.A. from the University of Wisconsin in Madison , and in 1931 began a career of teaching at the college. In 1931, he was an instructor in Latin and mathematics, and in '32, a professor of chemistry. By 1935, he had become the chairman of the chemistry department. From 1935 to 1939, he added the responsibility of master of novices. In 1944, Pete was appointed Dean of St. Norbert College . From 1946 until 1961, he returned to teaching chemistry until his retirement from the faculty.
Opening a new chapter of his life, Pete was master of novices at St. Michael's Priory in Orange, California , for a short time in 1961. Beginning in 1962, he ministered in Cut Bank, Shelby and Sunburst, Montana , before retiring to the college priory.
A third chapter of his life began in 1974, when he entered the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Ministry, where he was a participant and leader of priests' retreats until 1984.
In 1977, the college established the Peter Pritzl Scholarship for Chemistry in his name. In 1980, he was given the 50th Year Award by the American Chemical Society, and in 1985, Peter received the Alma Mater award from the college.
Pete died Monday, October 3rd, 1993 at the age of 89.

Funeral Card from Gordon Pritzl Joseph A Pritzl, 91, formerly of 434 N Winnebago St., De Pere, died Thursday, Dec 24, at a De Pere nursing home. Mr Pritzl was born Feb. 13, 1901, in East Wrightstown, son of the late Joseph and Margaret Brey Pritzl. He attended St Mary's School in Brillion through the eighth grade, then he attended a short course in agriculture in Madison. He married the former Renata Fischer on June 10, 1924 at St Mary Catholic Church, Morrison, and they farmed for 25 years near Clark Mills. They moved to Green Bay in 1949 and to De Pere in 1950. He was a custodian at St Mary School De Pere, for 17 years, then at St Joseph Home for Boys in Green Bay for 14 years retiring at age 82. He was a member of St Mary Catholic Church, De Pere and the Holy Name Society. Rev. John Joseph Pritzl (1904-1990) by Rev. John Pritzl In 1910, the Frank X. Pritzl family had moved to Helena Montana because of Mrs. Pritzls TB. John was not quite 6 when his mother died. The family moved back to Frank X. mothers farm near Brillion and John didn't start first grade until the family moved into the city of Brillion in 1911. This put he and his brother Arnold in the same class. They both graduated from 8th grade in the spring of 1919. (Father John was class valedictorian). Father John started minor seminary (4 years H. S., 2 years college), at St. Lawrence, in Mt. Calvary, Wisconsin in the fall of 1919. The school was operated by the Capuchin Fathers. Pritzl - Marshfield News Herald Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday in St John's Catholic Church for Arnold B Pritzl, 69, of 311 W Kalsched St, former owner of Pritzl Hardware, 212 N Central Ave., who died at 9 a.m. Friday at St Joseph's Hospital where he was a patient since Feb. 26. He had been in ill health the past four months, and death resulted from a stroke. Principle celebrant at the Concelebrated Mass of the Resurrection will be the Rev. Msgr. A N Schuh, and internment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery here. Friends may call at the Rembs-Kundinger Chapel beginning a 2 p.m. Sunday and on Monday until time of the services. Mr Pritzl was born in Thorp, Sept. 11, 1906 and attended Brillion and Marshfield schools. He came to Marshfield in 1920 with his parents and from 1921 to 1927 was employed in the Milwaukee area. Returning to Marshfield in 1927, Mr Pritzl entered employment with his father in the F. X. Pritzl Hardware Store, and in 1931 entered into a partnership with him. He continued this partnership until the death of his father in 1959, when he became sole owner. In 1967 he retired and at this time his son, Gerald F Pritzl became owner. Mr Pritzl was a former member of the Marshfield Chamber of Commerce, serving as its president from 1948-1949. He was a member of St John's Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, the Knights of Columbus, the Elks Lodge and a former member of United Commercial Travelers. He had been an original member of the St John's Men's Choir. Surviving besides his widow are six children, Gerald and John, both of Marshfield, Mrs Paul (Mary) Jesberger, Merrill; Robert, Bowie, Md; Paul, Lexington, Neb.; and Donald Pritzl, M.D. Fountain Valley, Calif. There are 17 grandchildren. A brother Father John J Pritzl, Durand and two sisters, Mrs Peter (Mae) Thissen, Chowchilla, Calif. and Mrs Albert (Regina) Meuer Glenview, Ill. also survive. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, a sister and two grandchildren. A combined rosary by the Missionary Association of Catholic Women and the Rosary-Alter Society of St John's will be recited at 3 p.m. Sunday. The Elks Lodge of Sorrow is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. the Knights of Columbus rosary at 7:30 p.m. and the St John's Parish VIgil at 8 p.m., also on Sunday. Mildred E. Van Groll, 87, Green Bay, died January 7, 2008, at Brewster Village in Grand Chute. Millie was born March 29, 1920, in Reedsville, the seventh child and first daughter of Louisa (Pritzel) and Joseph Kleiber of Brillion, WI. After graduating from Holy Family Nursing School, Manitowoc, she married Harold J. Van Groll of Manitowoc on May 8, 1943 in Columbus, SC.
Millie will be remembered for her gracious and giving nature, as well as her tremendous work ethic. She volunteered for over 25 years at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, was a Unity Hospice volunteer, and a steady supporter of her parish, St Agnes.
Millie enjoyed singing, walking, playing Bridge, her church, many neighbors and friends, and of course, her beloved Packers. She was a woman of wide generosity, small stubbornness, and great humility. In her last months she enjoyed her children's and grandchildren's visits and the surprising gifts of each day. She seemed humbly unaware of the impact the example of her life had on others and would be surprised to know just how deeply she is missed.
Millie was most proud of her family and is survived by her eight children "The best kids in the world": Harry (Mary Beth) Van Groll, Mequon; Beth Spencer (Mark Peerenboom), Appleton; Dick (Lee) Van Groll, Sun Prairie; Jean (Tony) Palma, Greenville; Mary (Ron) Blakewell, Neenah; Tom (Cindy) Van Groll, Cedarburg; Kathy Van Groll, Appleton; and Chris (Tim) Klunk, Appleton. Flags in the city were at half-mast Monday forenoon during the funeral services for Alfred Robert Pritzl whose accidental death was announced in last week's issue of the News. The decedent, son of Mr and Mrs C(harles) F Pritzl, enlisted with the U.S. Army in 1940 and at the time of his death held the rank of Staff Sergeant Technician at Fort Bragg, N.C. On Tuesday of last week he was granted an authorized overnight pass to attend a birthday celebration at the home of a friend, Russell Poe, at Bear Creek N.C. After spending the evening at the Poe home, he left early Wednesday morning to return to camp. He had ridden his motorcycle a distance of about four miles when he apparently failed to see a sharp turn. The motorcycle left the road and threw him against a pile of lumber at the roadside with such force that death was probably instantaneous. Thus this fine young man gave his life in the service of his country, leaving to mourn his departure the parents, one brother, three sisters, and a host of friends and relatives throughout the community by whom he was affectionately known as "Laddie". The remains were brought to Brillion by train, accompanied by an army "pal", Sgt. Tech. Lester Cook of Fort Bragg, N.C. who was able to inform the grieving family of the tragic circumstances of Sgt. Pritzl's death. On arrival here, the remains were taken charge of by members of the Arno Bloedorn Post, who conveyed them to the Luecker Funeral Home. A large concourse of sympathetic citizens were gathered at the depot when the train arrived. Funeral services were held Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Luecker Funeral Home, followed by a Solemn Requiem High Mass at St Mary's Church here at 10 o'clock. Rev. Alfred Pritzl, an uncle of the deceased, was the celebrant of the mass, assisted by Rev. Peter Pritzl of De Pere, as Deacon, and Rev. Hubert Kleiber of Elcho as Sub-Deacon. Rev. Spillman of De Pere was Master of Ceremonies. The pall bearers were Richard and William Bartz, Leon Pritzl, Joseph Burich, Lyle Becker and James Kleiber. Burial was in St Mary's cemetery here.

Carl J. Pritzl, 56, resident of Fort Collins, Colo., died Wednesday at Poudre Valley Memorial Hospital, Fort Collins. Born July 23, 1922, in Brillion, he served in the Army until 1972. He served during World War II and the Vietnam War . At the time of his death he was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Retired Army Reserve. Mr. Pritzl received the Bronze Star and a number of other medals. Norbert J. Ecker, age 86, De Pere, passed away on Friday morning at his home. He was born March 29, 1916, in Brillion, Wisconsin, son of the late John and Caroline (Pritzl) Ecker. Norbert graduated from Hilbert High School in 1934 and then attended the Teachers College in Milwaukee before transferring to St. Norbert College in De Pere were he graduated with a major in music. Norbert taught at Catholic Central and later at Premontre High School, both in Green Bay. During his summer breaks he furthered his education at the University of Wisconsin at Madison and the University of Colorado at Boulder. Norbert then became the band director at St. Norbert College in De Pere. At the time of his retirement Norbert was chairman of the music department. Survivors include his brother, Harold (Sue) Ecker of De Pere; his sisters, Irene (Bill) Straus of De Pere, and Bernice Riendl of Waukesha. Norbert's nieces, nephews and family at St. Norbert College further survive him. He was preceded in death by his brother Edmund; his brother-in-law James Riendl; his nephew Michael Straus; and niece Nancy Riendl. Mathilda M (Tillie) Strauss, age 99, a Manitowoc resident, died Friday, July 13, 2001 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2001 at St Mary's Catholic Church, 1114 S 21st at Marshall streets, Manitowoc. The Rev Finian Zaucha, OFM will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial with burial at St Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Maple Grove. Tillie was born Oct 11, 1901 at Whitelaw, daughter of the late Anton and Theresa Pritzl Schamburek. She married Simon J Strauss, April 28, 1925 at St Michael's Catholic Church, Whitelaw. Simon preceded her in death Oct 1, 1962. After coming to Manitowoc in 1962, she was employed at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center. She was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc, St Mary's Rosary and Altar Society and sang in the funeral choir. Tillie is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law; Evelyn (Harold) Kummer, Lorraine (Paul) Erdmann, Rita (Clifford) Maule, Shirley (Frederick) Richmond, all of Manitowoc, and LaVerne (Myron) Schettl, Oronoco, Mich.; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Simon, she was predeceased by a brother, John A Schamburek and a sister Rose Geiger. Rose Geiger, 311 W Water Street, Brillion - Age 89, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 1998 at the St Paul Home in Kaukauna. She was born July 17, 1908 in Whitelaw, daughter of the late Anton and Theresa Pritzl Schamburek. She married Emery Geiger on July 31, 1935. She farmed with her husband until her retirement, was a member of St Mary Catholic Church in Brillion, the Christian Mothers, Catholic Knights and a member of Brillion Senior Citizens. Rose is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law; Rosemary and Rod Holzschuh, Combined Locks, Jean and Robert Drexler, Appleton; six grandchildren and their spouses, Nancy (Steven X) Hietpas, Linda (Dennis) Groves, Sharon (Simon) Neicheril, James (Catherine) Holzschuh, John P Holzschuh, Joel (Leanette) Holzschuh; six great-grandchildren, Jocelyn Hietpas, Cecily Groves, Sofia Rose Neicheril, Colton and Claire Holzschuh, Hanna Holzschuh; one sister, Tillie Strauss, Manitowoc; two sisters-in-law, Cecilia Pritzl, Manitowoc, and Daisy Schamburek, Whitelaw; and many nieces and nephews. John A Schambureck, 78, of 151 Hoover Street, Whitelaw, Wisconsin, died Wednesday morning, January 10, 1990, at his residence. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Richard Heymen and burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr Schambureck was born April 27, 1911, at Whitelaw, Wisconsin, son of the late Anton and Theresia Pritzel Schambureck. He grew up, was educated and lived in Whitelaw all his life. Mr. Schambureck farmed and retired from the Manitowoc Company. He was an avid deer hunter, trapper and enjoyed card playing. He married Daisy Lorrigan on October 12, 1937, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Maple Grove, Wisconsin. Mr. Schambureck was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw; past president of the Holy Name Society; member and past president of the Whitelaw Senior Citizens. Upon his retirement he resided in the Village of Whitelaw except for the past seven years when he lived in Shady Lane Home, Manitowoc. He was a member of St Michael's Parish, its Holy Name Society and a lifetime member of the Manitowoc County Expo. Survivors include a sister Leona Lemberger, Manitowoc; a sister- in-law, Ann Riederer, Manitowoc; his niece and guardian Judy Vogel and her husband Jerome, of 10701 US 10, Cato, Wis.; other nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Tuschl was born Oct. 10, 1907, at Clarks Mills, son of the late John Sr. and Barbara Pritzl Tuschl. He was educated in Clarks Mills and married Mabel Cherney Aug. 2, 1933, at Mishicot. The couple later came to Manitowoc to make their home. Mr. Tuschl was a barber many years in Two Rivers. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Eagles Aerie 706 of Manitowoc. Survivors include his wife, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Marcus Allen Tuschl of Casseliberry, Fla., and James and Karen Tuschl of Green Bay; a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and James Lewis of Citrus Heights, Calif.; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Joseph and Elaine Tuschl of Madison, Leon and Cele Tuschl and George Tuschl of Milwaukee and Anthony and Germaine Tuschl of Whitelaw; a sister and brother-in-law, Fern and Jerry Esser of Los Angeles, Calif., and six grandchildren. Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home 7 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Monday evening. A Rosary service will be conducted by Deacon Robert Drobka at 7:30 o'clock. Members of Eagles Aerie 706 will conduct a memorial service at 8:30 o'clock.

Anthony (Tony) E Tuschl, age 84, of 10817 Hwy. 10, Cato, died late Sunday evening, October 8, 1995, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 12, 1995, at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St Michaels Catholic Church, Whitelaw. Rev. Richard Heymen will officiate with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum. He was born September 4, 1911, in Clarks Mills, Wis., son of the late John and Barbara Pritzl Tuschl. He grew up in Clarks Mills and attended St Mary's Catholic School in Clarks Mills. He married Germaine M Grall, November 15, 1941, at St Michael's Catholic Church. From 1940 to 1945, Tony worked for the Hamann Construction Company in Manitowoc. In 1945, he started farming on the John Grall farm in Whitelaw, retiring in 1981. He was a member of St Michael's Catholic Church, Whitelaw. He is also a member of the Holy Name Society, the Manitowoc County Expo and was former Vice President of the Manitowoc County Holstein Breeders Association, former President of the Manitowoc County D.H.I.A. Association, a lifetime member of the National Holstein Selection Committee which is located at Shawano, Wis. Survivors include his wife, Germaine; two sons and daughters- in-law, Charles and Karin Tuschl, Cato, Wis., Kenneth and Jeannie Tuschl, Nashville, Tenn.; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and David Koch, Lansing, Mich.; six grandchildren, Dale and his wife Michelle Tuschl, Rhonda and her husband Daniel Carriveau, Jonathan Tuschl, Joshua Tuschl, Geoffrey Koch, Hillary Koch; three step-grandchildren, Pamela and her husband Michael Emme, Melissa and her husband David Schultz, Paul Pokorski; four great- grandchildren, Dalton Tuschl, Emerald Tuschl, Kira Schultz, Mariah Emme; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Joseph and Elaine Tuschl, Phoenix, Ariz., George Tuschl and Leon Tuschl, both of Milwaukee, Wis.; one sister, Fern Esser, Agoura, Calif. She was a housewife and mother and also worked at the Brillion HS as a bus driver and in the cafeteria. She was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church, Brillion, the Christian Mother's the choir and the "We Love To Dance" Club.
