    Obituary:
    Virginia R. DeBruin, age 89, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 19, 2008, at her residence. She was born on February 20, 1919, daughter of the late Henry J. and Virginia J. (Matty) Goffard. Virginia belonged to St. Therese Catholic Parish, the Appleton Homemakers Club, Catholic Daughters of America and Christian Ladies of St. Therese.
    She is survived by two sons: Roger "Butch" (Ruth) DeBruin and Thomas (Nancy) DeBruin; two daughters: Carol (Paul) Farah and Ginny (Jeff) Zartner. Virginia is further survived by 10 grandchildren: Jeff, Dan, Karen, Michele, Amy, Sandra, Julie, Katie, Andy and Tom and 15 great-grandchildren.
    Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Melvin on November 22, 1999, three brothers and five half-brothers.
    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2008, at St. Therese Catholic Parish, with Fr. William Hoffman presiding. Visitation for Virginia will be held from 9 a.m. until the hour of mass on Thursday at the church. Entombment will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
