    Van Ryzin, Rosanne J.
    Rosanne J. Van Ryzin, Appleton, age 88, passed away on Wednesday May 9, 2007 with her family at her side. Rosanne was born November 8, 1918, in Kimberly, WI., daughter of the late Peter and Susan (Van Laanen) Verbeten. Rosanne enjoyed craftwork, cooking, sewing, decorating, and dancing. She was a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Shoppe for 40 plus years, and was very active with the Christian Mothers of Sacred Heart Parish in Appleton where she was a member. She made many long lasting friendships that were cultivated through 50 plus years of tax preparation and bookkeeping.
    Rosanne is survived by two sons: Wade (Chris Baum) Van Ryzin, and Gary (Pamela) Van Ryzin; five grandchildren: Casandra (Ken) Cobb, Al (Erika) Van Ryzin, Kimberly, Andrew, and Benjamin Van Ryzin; three great grandchildren: Max, Maclean Rose, and Shen. She is further survived by two sisters: Gretchen Hornung, and Julienne Rusch; two brothers: Francis and Richard (Janet) Verbeten, and a sister in law, Helen (Gordon) Schuh.
    Rosanne was preceded in death by her former husband, Howard, brothers and sisters in law; L. Marie Verbeten, Bob Hornung, Maynard Rusch, Lawrence Van Ryzin, Kenneth "Jake" Van Ryzin, Lois (Russel) Vandelois, and Marian (Gordon) Smith.
    The Memorial Mass for Rosanne will be at 11 a.m. on Monday May 14, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 222 East Fremont St., Appleton. Visitation will be on Sunday at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. and again at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. A memorial is being established.

    Francis entered the U.S. Coast Guard in 1942, where he served in the Pacific Theatre for three years. He also served in the Korean Conflict from 1950 to 1952.

    Obituary:
    Francis T. Verbeten, 88, Kimberly, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at ThedaCare Hospice, with his family at his side.
    He was born on July 3, 1923, to the late Peter and Susan (Van Laanen) Verbeten in Kimberly. Francis graduated from Kimberly High School in 1941. He married Lillian "Marie" Greis on September 26, 1944. They celebrated 62 years together prior to her passing on December 4, 2006. They were married at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Escanaba, Mich. Francis entered the U.S. Coast Guard in 1942, where he served in the Pacific Theatre for three years. He also served in the Korean Conflict from 1950 to 1952.
    Francis worked for Kimberly Clark and Midtec and retired from Repap in Kimberly after 44 years. His favorite past time was music and joined the Kimberly Community Band in 1941. He was a member of the band for 70 years. Francis held the offices of vice president and business manager, as well as being on the board of directors throughout his years with the band. Francis was also a member of Holy Spirit Parish in Kimberly, where he served as parish trustee.
    Francis is survived by his five children, William (Minty) Verbeten, Breaks, Va.; Diane (Greg) Lemmers, Muskego; Janet (Stephen) Sanders, Manitowoc; Michael (Teresa) Verbeten, Norcross, Ga.; and Amy (John) Jensen, Appleton; grandchildren, Beau (Katie) Sanders, Quinn Sanders, Matt Leitner, Peter and Marissa Verbeten and Ben Jensen; great-grandchildren, Leo and Judah Sanders; siblings, Gretchen Hornung, Julienne Rusch and Richard (Janet) Verbeten. He is further survived by brothers-in-law, John (Irma) Greis, Mike (Annette) Greis, Jim (Sharon) Greis and Tom (Martha) Greis. Francis is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rosanne Van Ryzin and brothers-in-law, Bob Hornung, Maynard Rusch and Howard Van Ryzin and sister-in-law, Marge (Joe) Milokna.
    The funeral liturgy for Francis will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, 600 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly with Fr. David Beaudry officiating. Interment will take place at the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
    Francis' family would like to thank the staff at Appleton Medical Center and ThedaCare at Home Hospice for their care and compassion.

    Julienne Rusch, age 85, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 3, 2016, at American Grand Assisted Living in Kaukauna. Julienne was born on Halloween, October 31, 1930 to the late Peter and Susan (Van Laanen) Verbeten. She graduated from Kimberly High School in 1949. Julienne worked several years at Eiting's Supermarket and then as a loan officer for over twenty years at Kimberly Credit Union/Capital Credit Union. After retirement she worked several years at Piggly Wiggly. Julienne enjoyed golf, her card club and just about anything that could be done outdoors. She was an excellent cook and made the best chocolate cake and carrot cake! While living at American Grand she also became the Queen of Bingo! Her true pride and joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    Survivors include her four sons, Rick (Sue) Rusch of Darboy, Jim (Barby) Rusch of Oregon, Wisconsin and their son Ethan, Mick (Kim) Rusch of Appleton and their children, Andy and Jack, Tim (Becky) Rusch of Little Chute and their children, Nicole (Joel) Bruch and Patrick (Allie) Rusch; her great-grandchildren, Jaxson and Maddox Rusch, Hazel Bruch and another Baby Bruch on the way. She is further survived by one sister, Gretchen Hornung Price; a brother, Richard (Janet) Verbeten as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Julienne was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Rosanne Van Ryzin; her brother and sister-in-law, Francis (L. Marie) Verbeten; brother-in-law, Bob Hornung; her former husband, Maynard Rusch and his sisters, Laverne (Dick) Boehm and Pearl Belisle.
    The funeral Liturgy for Julienne will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, 600 East Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly. Friends may call at the church on Friday starting at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert Kollath officiating.     Richard Peter (Dick) Verbeten, 82, died July 3, 2016 in Winter Garden, FL. He fought a long battle with a Degenerative Vascular disease. He retired from Isleworth Golf and Country Club, in Windermere, FL, where he worked as a Golf Course Superintendent for Mr. Arnold Palmer. Dick was a treasure to his family and to all who knew him.
    He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Janet Vanderheiden Verbeten; son, Mark (Jean); daughter, Vicki (Jeff) Strenski; son, Gregg (Chris); daughter, Susan (Tracy) and son, John (Pam), all residing in WI; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; also one sister, Gretchen Hornung Price of Fond du Lac.
    Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Susan Verbeten; sister, Rosanne Van Ryzin; brother, Francis Verbeten and sister, Julienne Rusch.
