    Myrtle Palmbach, 83, Appleton, passed away on October 6, 2014. Myrtle was born on October 27, 1930 in Apple Creek Wisconsin to the late Harvey and Mathilda (Uhlenbrauck) Schroeder. She was a 1948 graduate of Appleton High School. On December 17, 1949 she married her high school sweetheart, Clement L Palmbach and he preceded her in death on June 11, 2003. Myrtle's most important job was raising her family. In addition to being a wife and mother, she was a member of the AMC Hospital Auxiliary, St. Paul Lutheran Church Ladies Aid and was an active volunteer with the Lutheran Pioneers. She loved to play cards, travel with Clem, raise Shelties and Collies and was well known for having the best chocolate chip cookies Myrtle will be sadly missed by: children John (Tara) Palmbach and James (Linda) Palmbach; grandchildren: John (special friend Mallory Killian), Jo Lynn, Andrew, Kathleen and Mark Palmbach, Nick (special friend Tiffany Roman) Lucas and Kim (Josh) Hill; great-grandchildren, Kelly and Jordy Hill as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clem, daughter Jane Gibbons and a sister Naomi (Carl) Krueger. Funeral Services will be on Saturday October 11, 2014 at 10:30 am at ST. PAUL EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 302 North Morrison Street, Appleton, with Rev. Peter Walther officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and again directly at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. The family would like to thank the staff of Appleton Retirement Community and Heritage Woods Hospice Residence for the care given to Myrtle.     Rita J. Petersen, 83 of Grand Chute, died Friday June 15, 2012 at St. Paul Elder Service, Kaukauna. She was born in Appleton, August 6, 1928, daughter of the late Alvin and Minnie (Schwalbach) Schroeder. Rita married Lawrence "Pete" Petersen on June 24, 1954.
    Rita and Pete are charter members of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Appleton; she worked hard on the family dairy farm, caring for the calves, and working in the barn, but her main job was caring for her family. She was an excellent cook, and she made sure her family ate well. She also expected them to eat on time, and let her family know her displeasure when they came in late. Rita enjoyed decorating the house and yard for the holidays; she enjoyed watching football, baseball, and NASCAR. Her greatest joy was spending time with the family, her children and especially her grandchildren.
    Rita is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Pete; four children, Lynn (Robert) Wenzel, Fond du Lac, Steven Petersen, "the farm", Grand Chute, Karen Petersen, Grand Chute, and Mark Petersen, "the farm, Grand Chute; two grandchildren, Ann and Nick Wenzel; sister, Phyllis Schroeder, Appleton; brother, Glenn (Dottie) Schroeder, Freedom; two brothers-in-law, Jim Gresl, Appleton, and Bob Van Hoof, Seymour; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Schroeder, three sisters, Elaine Gresl, Betty Gresl, and Irene Van Hoof; and a brother-in-law, Don Gresl.
    In keeping with Rita's wishes, a private family service will be held.
    Rita's family would like to give a special thank you to Fr. Falk for his continuous visits and prayers with Rita, which she enjoyed and anticipated, as she was a prayerful lady who had a lot of faith; and to the entire staff at St Paul Elder Care for their loving care and compassion.

    Irene Van Hoof, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Appleton Health Care. She was born September 7, 1934 to Alvin and Minnie (Schwalbach) Schroeder. She was married to Robert Van Hoof July 28, 1955.
    She is survived by her husband and her children: Debbie (Jim) Bernetzke, Lea Ann (Mark) Schneider, Randy (Carol) Van Hoof; six grandchildren: Jason (Jessica) Bernetzke, Joshua (Jamie) Bernetzke, Jake (special friend, Jennifer Evers) Bernetzke, Jericho (special friend Luke Van Gompel) Schneider, M'Kallyn Schneider, Ryan Krause; two great-granddaughters, Emma and Keiana Bernetzke, three siblings and three in-laws.
    She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
    There will be no visitation or funeral services per Irene's request. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com.A memorial fund has been established in Irene's name.
