Obituary:
Van Heuklon, Elizabeth (Hoien), Elizabeth Van Heuklon, 80, Menasha, passed away Monday, August 28, 200 6, at her home with her family by her side. She was born September 16, 192 5, in Oshkosh, daughter of Edwin and Etta (Busse) Koerwitz.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Neenah.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Clifford; her children: Gail Hoie n, Corvallis, OR; Christine (Dale) Hagen, Wisconsin Rapids; Mary (Michae l) Schmitzer, Dale; Katherine (Lindsay) Ross, Philomath, OR; 10 grandchild ren: Raymond (Rebecca) Becoskie, Rachael (Caleb) Nelson, Alice Hagen, Sar ah (Brett) Shipman, Jennifer and Kyle Schmitzer, Kristian, MacInlay, Ean a nd Margaret Ross; two great-grandchildren, Jonah and Bailey Nelson.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hugh Hoie n; a grandson, Oliver Ross; and a brother, Lt. Donald Koerwitz.
Private family memorial services will be held and interment will be in t he Brooks Cemetery, Town of Vinland.
A memorial has been established for the Elisha D. Smith Library, Menash a, and the American Lung Association.
