    Hazel M. Parker, Appleton, passed away on Saturday September 14, 2013 at Brewster Village in Grand Chute, following a long battle with Parkinson's disease. She was born April 17, 1932 in Clintonville, WI daughter of the late Michael J. and Edith (Thebo) Laux. On June 5, 1953 Hazel married John R. Parker. He preceded her in death on September 1, 2011.
    Hazel is survived by three sons, Michael, Appleton, Patrick (Debbie), Grand Chute, and Gregory (Kari), Shawano; four grandchildren, Sarah Parker, Jessica Parker (Dave), Christopher Parker, and Courtney Parker; a great-grandson, Cashton; one brother, Donald Laux, Albuquerque, NM; two sisters, Virginia (Richard) Allen, Bonner Springs, KS, and Patricia (Wayne) Struchtemeyer, Olathe, KS; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy "Wren" Laux, Clintonville, and Leila Becher, Appleton; one brother-in-law, Richard (Pam) Parker; very special friend of the family, Debra Parker; and many dear nieces, nephews, and friends. Hazel was further preceded in death by a grandson, Thomas John Parker; three brothers, Michael Laux, Kenneth Laux, and Milton Laux; two sisters, Dorothy Laux, and Mildred Langley; three brothers -in-law, Ralph Langley, Joseph Becher, and Robert Parker; sister-in-law, Margaret Parker.
    Memorial service will be 11:30 AM on Saturday September 21, 2013, at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Philip Bridges officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 9:00AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to: Compassion International, 12290 Voyager Parkway, Colorado Springs, CO. 80997; or at www.compassion.com
    Hazel's family would like to offer their sincere thanks to the entire staff at Brewster Village for the love, care, and compassion they offered to Hazel and her family.
