    PETER BRAUN IS CALLED BY DEATH
    Peter Braun, 75, passed away at his home in the town
    of Brillion on Tuesday evening following a six week
    illness. He was born at town Meeme (Liberty) July 30,
    1858 and was united in marriage to Miss Theresa
    Zipperer at Whitelaw, October 30, 1882. After their
    marriage the couple came to Brillion, where they
    settled on a farm being pioneer settlers here. They
    cleared land which at that time was still covered with
    forest, and built their own home. This farm located
    one half mile east of Brillion has been their home
    ever since. One year ago last October the couple
    celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Mr.
    Braun is survived by his wife and six children, three
    sons, Chas., Peter Jr., and Anton, all of Brillion,
    and three daughters, Mrs. Louis Wolfinger, St John;
    Mrs. John Schuh, Brillion; and Mrs. Irvin Pick,
    Oconomowoc. There are also ten grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning at
    ten o'clock at St. Mary's church, Rev. M. J. Kraus
    officiating. The Catholic Knights of which the
    deceased was a member will act as pall bearers, and
    interment will be in the Catholic cemetery.

    Charles Braun Dies At Age 88
    Charles Braun, 88, of Rt 2, Brillion, died last week Thursday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services were Monday at Wieting Funeral Home and at St. Mary Catholic church, Brillion. The Rev. Ray Dowling officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.
    Mr. Braun was born Sept 11, 1883, in the Town of Brillion, son of the late Peter and Theresa Zipperer Braun. He married Rose Fischer Oct 14, 1923, at Whitelaw. His wife preceded him in death May 11, 1968. He was a carpenter and later became engaged in farming. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic church and the Holy Name Society.
    Survivors include a son, Norbert, of Brillion; two daughters, Miss Dorothy Braun, of Brillion and Mrs. Frank Rosalia Krizek, of Manitowoc; a brother, Anton, of Brillion; two sisters, Mrs. John Margaret Schuh, of Brillion and Mrs. ErwinAnna Pick, of Jefferson; and seven grandchildren. A sister and three brothers preceded him in death. Wieting was in charge of arrangements.

    Peter Braun, 81, Rt. 2, died last Thursday, September 22 at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
    Funeral services were at St. Mary Catholic Church, Brillion. The Rev. Leonard Woelfel officiated and burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Braun was born April 19, 1885, at Rt 2 Brillion, son of the late Peter and Theresa Zipperer Braun. He farmed all his life and was never married.

    lmer M. Schuh, 79, of rural Brillion, passed peacefully during his final deer hunt, on Monday, Nov. 21, 2011.
    Elmer was born on April 7, 1932, son of the late John and Margaret (Braun) Schuh in Calumet County. He attended St. Mary's School in Brillion, and served in the Army in Germany from 1952-54. On Sept. 28, 1955, he married Annet Jean Bratz at St. Mary's Church, Brillion. Elmer worked at Brillion Iron Works for five years, and then 26 years at Eck Industries, where he retired in 1994. Elmer also raised dairy and beef cattle and farmed with his family in rural Brillion until 1999.
    Elmer enjoyed hunting and fishing with family, friends and neighbors. Elmer would never turn down a good game of sheephead, and was always in on the latest prank. He always took the time to visit with fellow farmers, friends and family whenever he could. Elmer loved and adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Elmer enjoyed watching his children's softball games and the Brillion High School football and basketball games and closely followed the Milwaukee Brewers. He worked diligently to make the backyard garden flourish in his retirement years. Elmer belonged to the Bloedorn Becker Jensen American Legion Post 126 in Brillion, West Maple Grove Hunting Club, National FFA Lifetime Member, Union Local 301, and Holy Family Parish.
    Survivors include his wife, Annet; their children and families, son, Mike (Carol) Schuh, and their children, Jason (Tanya) Heimke and Nicole (fiance, Joshua) Schuh and their child, Danielle; son, Elmer, Jr. "Butch" (special friend, Karol Koeck) Schuh and his children, Kyle, Kara, and Kayla (Casey) and their child, Bailey; daughter, Bonnie (Brad) Martinson, and their children, Patrick (Mindy) and their children, Carter and Lydia, Jennifer (special friend, Rodd Reichardt) Siebert and their child, Lily; daughter, Betty Schuh; daughter, Donna (Don) Meulemans, and their children, Sarah (fiance, Joey Zipperer) and Kyle; son, Allen (Kim) Schuh and their children, Mackenzie and Ally; daughter, Sandra (Greg) Lee, and their children, Brooke, Paige, Bryce and Kendra. He is further survived by his brothers, Arnold (Marilyn), Bernard (Nancy) and James (Betty); sisters, Grace Kolbe, Margie Bastian, Mary (special friend, Leroy) Reinke, Lucy (Chuck) Meyer. Also surviving are brothers-in-law, Poul Rasmussen and John Schaffer.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Schuh; granddaughter, Amber Doughty; brothers, John II, Henry (Lillian); sisters, Susie Schaffer and Theresa Rasmussen; brothers-in-law, Art Kolbe, Vance Bastian, Leo Reinke and Alden Bratz; sisters-in-law, Rita Kaderabek and Alice Bratz; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herman and Minnie Bratz.
    Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at Holy Family Parish, Brillion. Officiating at the Mass will be the Rev. Timothy Brandt with burial at Kasson Cemetery. Military Rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post, Brillion.
    Friends may call at church on Monday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m.

    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2006, at Holy Family Parish, Brillion. Rev. Thomas Long will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial of her cremated remains at St. Mary's Cemetery, Brillion.
    The former Theresa Schuh was born October 16, 1934, in Brillion, daughter of the late John and Margaret Braun Schuh. She attended St. Mary's Catholic grade school and the Brillion High School. She married Poul Rasmussen on May 22, 1956, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brillion. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and the Christian Mothers.

    Brillion - Arnold "Arnie" Schuh, age 82, of Brillion, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018, with his family by his side, at Brillion Westhaven.
    Arnie was born on April 14, 1936 in the same house he lived in his entire life, son of the late John & Margaret (Braun) Schuh. He married Marilyn A. Jahnke in Algoma on October 2, 1962. Arnie and Marilyn owned and operated the family dairy farm until their retirement. Arnie enjoyed deer hunting, loved dogs, and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He loved spending time with his family.
    Arnie is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marilyn; their children and spouses: Thomas (Liz) Schuh, Kathy Draheim, Kary (Mike) Scharf, Judy (Jordan) Schuh, and Pete (Mary) Schuh; grandchildren: David Villagomez, Mykela Scharf, Luke Draheim, Mayra Villagomez, Maxwell Scharf, Alex Draheim, Olivia Schuh, Claire Schuh, Emma Schuh, and Aubrey Schuh; two brothers and three sisters-in-law: Bernard (Nancy) Schuh, Jim (Betty) Schuh, and Annette Schuh; three sisters and five brothers-in-law: Grace Kolbe, Mary Reinke, Lucy (Chuck) Meyer, Poul Rasmussen, Lee (Dorothy) Jahnke, Ronald (Sharol) Jahnke, Robert (Mary) Jahnke; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

    Obituary:
    Sylvia "Susie" (Schuh) Schaffer, age 65, of 837 Gehl Lane, Hilbert, pass ed away unexpectedly on September 13, 2005 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. S he was born Aug. 23, 1940 in Brillion, daughter of the late John and Marga ret (Braun) Schuh. She married John P. Schaffer on Nov. 5, 1960 and was pl anning to celebrate 45 years of marriage in November. Susie was a memb er of St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert and was actively involved in t he Hilbert/Potter Optimist Club. Susie was a dedicated secretary at Hilbe rt High School since 1975. Susie enjoyed life and loved spending time wi th her family and friends. She especially loved spending time with her gra ndchildren and watching them grow. She so much enjoyed Sunday lunches wi th the family. She was always so helpful with her grandchildren. She wi ll be greatly missed by her six children and 16 grandchildren.Survivors include loving husband, John; children: John Jr. (Cindy), Mary ( Dan) Klimesh, Glen (Julie), Alan (Michelle), Jill (Bob) Gehl, Jodi (Ros s) Guyette; grandchildren: Jacob and Kate Godschalx, Ashley and Alex Klime sh, Lexie and Bryse Schaffer, Christine Paulson, Alaina, Austin, and Ave ry Schaffer, Katie, Erica, and April Gehl, Heather and Tyler Brickham, a nd Ridge Guyette; four brothers: Bernard (Nancy) Schuh, Arnie (Marilyn) Sc huh, Elmer (Ann) Schuh, Jim (Betty) Schuh, and five sisters: Theresa (Pou l) Rasmussen, Mary Reinke, Margie Bastian, Grace Kolbe, and Lucy (Chuck) M eyer, and a sister-in-law, Lillian Schuh.She was preceded in death by a daughter Gina, and two brothers: John and H ank Schuh.Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Fri. September 16, 2005 at St. M ary Catholic Church in Hilbert with Father David Zimmerman officiating. Bu rial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Funer al Home in Brillion on Thursday. September 15th from 4-8 p.m. and th en at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. There wi ll be a prayer vigil at the funeral home on Thursday at 7 p.m."Let nothing disturb you. Let nothing frighten you. Everything passes exce pt God. God alone is sufficient".
