    Obituary:
    Florence Draheim, 94, of Sunset Apartments, New Ulm, died Monday, June 15, 2009, at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm. Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2009, at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm with Pastor Timothy Smith officiating. Visitation will be 1 - 3 p.m. Thursday at the church. The Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm is in charge of the arrangements.
    A second service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2009, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion, Wisconsin, with burial in the church cemetery. Pastor Ronald Ash will officiate. Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at church on Saturday.

    Florence Augusta Steinbach Draheim was born on May 5, 1915, in Forest Junction, Calumet County, Wisconsin, to John F. and Augusta Gaetsch Steinbach. In 1930, Florence was baptized and then confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church of Brillion, Wisconsin, in the same confirmation class as Orman Draheim. She graduated from Brillion High School, Class of 1933. In 1938, Florence married Orman Draheim at Trinity Lutheran Church, Brillion. Orman and Florence worked together on their dairy farm almost all of their working life, first in Collins and then in rural Brillion. In retirement, they lived on S. Francis St. in Brillion, and on Waldo Blvd. in Manitowoc, WI. Orman died in 1995 and in 1999 Florence moved to New Ulm, MN.
    Florence is survived by her two daughters: Audrey (Doug) Pedersen of Edgewood, WA; and Edith (Richard) Ash of New Ulm, MN. She was blessed with eight grandchildren and a foster grandchild: Jamie (Eric) Pedersen, Seattle, WA, and Kari Pedersen Kirk, Bay Pines, FL; Allen (Virginia) Ash of Bonney Lake, WA; Nathan (Michelle) Ash, Highlands Ranch, CO; Mike (Tina) Ash, San Diego, CA; Amy (Billy) Friess, Waukesha, WI; Richie (Cristin) Ash, Brian Ash of Sun Prairie, WI; and Margo (Scott) Meier of Menomonee Falls, WI. Florence was blessed after age 90 with ten great- grandchildren: Trygve Pedersen, Jayden Ash, Nicholas and Amanda Ash, Julia and Ethan Ash, Lucy and Ruby Friess, Thornton and Finley Ash, and Heather and Courtney Meier. She is also survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Otto and Dorothy Rusch, Washburn, WI, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Orman Draheim and infant daughter, Trudy; and her parents, John and Augusta Steinbach; two brothers, Edgar and Kenneth Steinbach; and sisters-in-law: Dorothea Steinbach, Elleanore LaFleur, and Vema Rusch; brothers-in-law, Cyril LaFleur and Roy Rusch.
    Florence enjoyed gardening, crocheting, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. She will be missed by many loving family members and friends, but she is enjoying the joys of heaven with Jesus.

    Steinbach, Edgar R.
    Edgar R. Steinbach, age 90, of Kiel, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 28, 2008. He was born June 20, 1917, in Rural Brillion, son of the late John & Mary (Lintner) Steinbach. He married Dorothea Berth on September 1, 1951. She preceded him in death on February 14, 1987. Edgar devoted his whole life to farming and farmed in both the Brillion and Kiel areas. He was a former member of Peace UCC church in Brillion where he served on the church council. He also was on the Brillion School Board several times throughout his life and he was a member of the Farm-Co Co-Op and the Farm Bureau for many years. In his younger years, Edgar loved to fly and owned a bi-plane with his father, brother and cousins. He enjoyed woodworking very much and was known to make benches, birdhouses, and small statues out of various species of wood. He also loved raising chickens and planting trees; after all, there were never enough trees in the world for Edgar.
    Survivors include his children: Mary Steinbach of Kiel, John Steinbach of Valders, Joanne (Terry) Ball of Neenah, Arlyn (Lynn) Steinbach of Kiel, Linda (Larry) Moeller of New Hampshire; nine grandchildren: Elizabeth, Emily, Eric, Evan, Elden, Shannon, Dylan, Vanessa, Michelle; two great-grandchildren: Isaac & Isadora; and a sister: Florence Drahiem of Minnesota.
    Edgar was also preceded in death by a grandchild: Jeremiah Steinbach; and a brother: Kenneth Steinbach.
    Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 2, 2008, at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (1212 Teckla Pl.) in Kiel. Burial will be in the Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 2, 2008, when services will be held.
