    Van Hoof, Claren ce H.Clarence H. Van Hoof, Town of Freedom, age 89, passed away peacefully at h ome on Monday, February 27, 2006, surrounded by his loving family. He w as born on July 8, 1916, in Freedom, WI, the son of the late Matthew and A nna (Romenesko) Van Hoof. Clarence farmed the Van Hoof Homestead farm fr om 1938-1969. He worked with Van Hoof painting while farming. Following t he sale of his farm he worked in maintenance for St. John School and Outag amie County Highway Dept.Clarence was a lifelong member of St. Nicholas Parish. He was involv ed in many parish activities. He enjoyed woodworking, dancing, playing car ds, going fishing, but most of all; he enjoyed his children, grandchildr en and great-grandchildren. He married Mildred Ann Ashauer, April 22, 194 1; she preceded him in death on December 4, 1958. He married Mabel Fab ry on September 28, 1963.He is survived by his wife Mabel; nine children: Jerry (Pat), Combined Loc ks; Mary (special friend Wally), Appleton; Jeanne Middleton, Appleton; Bon nie (Gordy) Johnson, Cambria; Jack (Patti), Appleton; Joe (Dee), DePere; A nn (Dan) Devine, Kris (Bill) Lecker, Ron (Marlene), Appleton; 23 grandchil dren, 21 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Wally and Ken, Little Chut e; a sister, Marie, Freedom; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friend s. He is further survived by sisters-in-law, Rose Corsten and Alice Huisma n; and brother-in-law, Alvin Fabry.He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred; his parents, Matth ew and Anna Van Hoof; a sister, Evelyn Nackers; sisters-in-law, Dorothy V an Hoof and Florence Van Hoof; brother-in-law, Russell Nackers; sister-in- law, Evelyn Fabry; brothers-in-law, Tim Corsten, Clarence Huisman and Har ry Fabry.Clarence's Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Friday, March 3, 20 06, at ST. NICHOLAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, N4088 County Trunk E, Freedom with F r. John Schuetze officiating. Friends will be received on THURSDAY at BOET TCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna from 4 p.m. unt il 8 p.m., with a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. and again FRIDAY at C HURCH from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in t he parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.     Jeanne D. Middleton, age 62, Appleton, passed away surrounded by family on November 17, 2008, at Brewster Village. She fought a courageous battle with neurofibromitosis. Jeanne was born on September 3, 1946, in Green Bay, WI, the daughter of the late Clarence and Mildred (Ashauer) Van Hoof, later raised by her stepmother, Mabel Van Hoof, who survives her.
    Jeanne retired from the Outagamie County Highway Department after 21 years. She previously was a member of St. Nicholas Parish and joined St. Mary Parish when she moved to Appleton. She was a member and active participant of Alanon since 1983. Jeanne loved music, shopping, movies, going out for dinner and trips to Door County. She also loved spending time with family and friends.
    Survivors include her loving daughter Michelle (Pat) Randerson; brothers and sisters: Jerry (Pat) Van Hoof, Mary Van Hoof, Jack (Patty) Van Hoof, Ann (Dan) Devine, Kris (Bill) Lecker, Bonnie (Gordy) Johnson and Joe (Dee) Van Hoof; sister-in-law Marlene Van Hoof; former husband Phillip Middleton. She is further survived by her godchildren Jennifer Mackey and Katie Woelfel and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ron Van Hoof.
    A funeral service for Jeanne will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Appleton with Rev. Michael O'Rourke officiating. A visitation for Jeanne will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the church. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established in Jeanne's name for neurofibromitosis.
    The family would like to express sincere appreciation to Brewster Village and Cathy Randerson from ThedaCare Hospice for their sincere compassion and care. A heartfelt thanks to special friend Mike Marsden, and to her wonderful supporters from Alanon.

    Ronald W. Van Hoof, 55, passed away quiety after a 4½-year battle with Lou Gehrig's Disease on Nov. 1, 2008, at Cherry Meadows. Ron was born on Oct. 21, 1953, in Appleton, Wis., son of the late Clarence and Mildred (Ashauer) Van Hoof and later raised by his stepmother, Mabel Van Hoof, Freedom, who survives him.
    He married the former Marlene Kressel (Rine) on Aug. 13, 1994. Ron farmed and cash cropped for many years, as well as working in the heating and cooling industry. He was a generous member and active participant of the Freedom FFA. Ron enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, watching NASCAR and spending time with his family and friends. He was also especially proud to guide and counsel young people. Church was very important to Ron. He was a faithful and giving member of St. Nicholas Parish in Freedom.
    Survivors include his loving wife of 14 years, Marlene, Appleton; stepdaughter, Kimberly Kressel, Oshkosh; brothers and sisters, Jerry (Pat), Combined Locks; Mary Van Hoof, Jeanne Middleton, Jack (Patty), Ann (Dan) Devine, Kris (Bill) Lecker, all of Appleton; Bonnie (Gordy) Johnson, Cambria; Joe (Dee), De Pere; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his godchildren, Cherokee Anderson and Katie Woelfel; his wife's family, Gary (Sharon) Rine, Ken (Mary) Rine, both of Bryant.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom, with Fr. David Hoffman officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery immediately following services. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna. Friends may again call after 10 a.m. Tuesday directly at the church until time of services. There will be a 7 p.m. Prayer Service held Monday.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Ron's name.
    The family would like to express sincere appreciation to Theda Care at Home Hospice, Cherry Meadows Hospice and their staff for their sincere compassion and care.
