    Leygraaf, Thomas J. "Elvis"
    Thomas Leygraaf went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 5, 2007, after a courageous two-year battle with lung disease. Tom was born in Little Chute, August 8, 1938, to the late Lambert & Johanna Leygraaf. Tom was an easy-going, witty person with a great sense of humor. He was very talented in art, music & poetry. His big joy was spending time at his home at Roberts Lake. He loved nature.
    Tom is survived by his wife, Carol, who he married December 29, 1965. He is also survived by his daughter, Catherine Schwalenberg and her children: Ryan, Alexis and Andra and his daughter, Laurie Leygraaf and her children: Ashley, Kayla and Hailey; two brothers: Gerard (Phyllis) Leygraaf, Burke, Virginia; Kenneth Leygraaf, Little Chute; three sisters: Mary Jo Leygraaf, Tennessee; Patricia Berger, Oshkosh and Evelyn Hammen (special friend Lee), Little Chute. He is also survived by his wife's family and many nieces and nephews.
    Thomas was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry; his son-in-law, Chad Liebhauser; his brother-in-law, Leroy Calmes; his niece, Linda Calmes and nephews: Bruce Berger and Kenneth Hammen.
    Tom was talented in poetry. This is an excerpt from his poem "My flower my wife." Now when life's autumn frost touch your petals as time passes by. Then me & my flower will wither & die, but what better way for life to pass by then being together my flower & I.
    Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at the Verkuilen Funeral Home with Rev. David Funk officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. Wednesday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
    The family wishes to thank Dr. Avery, Hospice that was so supportive and his many friends & family who were so helpful and supportive during this most difficult time.
