    Staff Sergeant Anthony Van Wymeren, 23, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Van Wymeren Little Chute has been reported missing by the war department. Sgt. Van Wymeren served as a gunner on a B-24 bomber and has been missing in action over Germany since April 7. He had entered service June 11, 1942. His brother Jan is stationed in the Fiji islands

    The War Department has informed Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Van Wymeren, Little Chute, that a message has been intercepted from a German radio stating that their son, Staff Sgt. Anthony Van Wymeren, 23, a prisoner of the Germans had suffered a compound fracture of the left upper arm and a fractured knee and has been put in a plaster cast and was doing well. Sgt. Van Wildenberg a gunner on a B-24 Liberator was reported missing in action on April 11 and later reported a German prisoner.

    Obituary:
    Judi Kiefer, age 68, passed away on February 5, 2016 in North Fort Myers, FL. Judi was born March 29, 1947 in Appleton, WI to Anthony and Viola VanWymeren, grew up in Little Chute and spent the last 20 years in Weyauwega. Judi's 35 year career as a nurse was spent at Lakeview Manor Nursing Home. She enjoyed camping with friends and especially loved traveling with her son, Michael.
    Judi is survived by her wife, Cindy Preuss; her son, Michael Kiefer; sisters, Janet (Oscar) Hechel and Jo (Dave) Heraly; step-children, Carly (Josh) Schroeder and their children, Kyra, Kennedy and Dimitri, Erin (Jason)Wait, Zeke and Charlie; nieces and nephews, Stacie, Chad, Doug, Shelly, Charlie and Eric.
    A private memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Weyauwega at a later date.
