    Mrs. Arnold E. Brecklin, Jr., 34, of 1611 W. Franklin street, died at 6 a.m. today at home of an acute coronary attack. The fire department rescue squad was called, but she was dead when it arrived. She was born in Greenville Dec. 31, 1924, and lived in the Appleton area all her life. She was a member of the VFW auxiliary and the EMBA auxiliary of the Wisconsin Michigan Power company. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic church, with burial in Highland Memorial park. Friends may call at the Brettschneider Funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday until services. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Survivors include the widower; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Jochman, route 1, Appleton; two daughters, Barbara and Mary, at home; one son, Bruce, at home; three brothers, David, Alfred and Robert Jochman, all of Appleton, and five sisters, Mrs. Willard Last, Muscatine, Iowa, Mrs. Donald Kempen, Kimberly, Mrs. Lloyd Brantmeier and Mrs. William Anderson, both of Menasha, and Miss Nancy Jochman, Appleton.

    Appleton - David Leonard Jochman, age 90, passed away peacefully at his home with family at his side, on Thursday, March 15, 2018. David was born on August 1, 1927 in Greenville, WI, to the late John and Mary Jochman. When David was 20 years old, he fulfilled his dream of going out West to work in the fields.
    In 1950 David proudly joined the Army, where he served three years in the Korean War earning the Combat Infantry Badge. David and his son Jerry, were fortunate to experience together the Old Glory Honor Flight to Washington D.C. in 2014.
    David met the love of his life, Barbara, and together they were blessed with 61 wonderful years of marriage. Barbara preceded him in death on March 24, 2017.
    He was employed by Central Paving/MCC for thirty-six years, retiring in 1995. After retirement he volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul for over 20 years, and was acknowledged with the "Volunteer of the Year Award 2005". He spent countless hours volunteering at St. Therese Parish and was always willing to lend a helping hand to whomever was in need.
    David enjoyed spending his time with his family, listening to Polka music and being outdoors.
    He is survived by his five children, Cindy Johnson, Kathleen (Gregg) Burkhardt, Pam (Craig) Kuepper, Jerry Jochman and Theresa (Jeffrey) Racine; his five grandchildren, Rebecca (Doug) Mogensen, Christopher Johnson, Justin (Courtney) Kuepper, Ryan Kuepper and Michael Burkhardt; and his great-grandchildren, Emery Mogensen and twins, Milo & Noa Kuepper. David is also survived by three sisters, Esther Kempen, Ruth Brantmeier, and Joyce (Bill) Anderson; four sisters-in-law, Marge Jochman, Joan (Leo) Bernardin, Karen (Ron) Groth and Bonnie Fischer and his brother-in-law, Richard Nichols. He is further survived by many other dear family members and friends.
    In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; son-in-law, Curtis Johnson; three sisters, Eleanor Brecklin, Helen (Willard) and Nancy Nichols; his two brothers, Robert and Dick (Ruth) and three brothers-in-law, Don Kempen, Lloyd Brantmeier and Tom Fischer.
    The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at ST. THERESE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 213 E. Wisconsin Avenue in Appleton. Visitation will be held the night before on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 starting at 4:00 p.m. until the prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at Wichmann Funeral Home. Visitation will resume the next day at the church starting at 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass. Military Honors will follow the Funeral Mass at church. David will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Appleton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in David's name.     David's family would like to thank Affinity Hospice, especially Jean and Jenny.
    As sad as it is to mourn the passing of our dear Dad, we all know how very blessed we've been to have been touched by his loving presence. He is now safely in Heaven with Mom, watching us from above. We love you Dad.

    Alfred V. Jochman age 80, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2014 after a battle with leukemia. Al was born on July 12, 1934 to the parents of John and Mary (Ellenbecker) Jochman. Al grew up on a farm in Grand Chute and attended Appleton (West) High School before joining the U.S. Army. Following his return from the army, Al married Ruth (Knutson) on August 31, 1955. They made their home in Appleton and raised two children, Richard Jochman and Elizabeth (Jochman) Ebben. They were married for 55 years until Ruth's passing on January 1, 2011. Al worked as an insulator in Local 127 for 28 years and was privileged to enjoy over 21 years of retirement. Al enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, especially trimming trees and cutting firewood. Throughout his life, Al enjoying collecting and viewing antique tractors and cars and attended many car shows. He will be remembered by his friends and neighbors for his willingness to assist in any neighborhood project and for his giving nature and charismatic personality. Alfred is survived by his son Richard Jochman and his wife Julie (Miller) Jochman and their children Hannah and Tyler Jochman, his daughter Elizabeth (Jochman) Ebben, her husband Daniel Ebben and their children Johnathan, Amanda, Christopher and Kaitlynn Ebben. He is also survived by a brother David Jochman (Barbara), sisters Esther Kempen, Ruth Brantmeier, Joyce Anderson (Bill), sister- in- law Margie Jochman and brother- in- law Richard Nichols and many nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents Al is preceded in death by his wife Ruth (Knutson) Jochman, a brother Robert Jochman, sisters Eleanor Brecklin, Helen Last her husband Willard and Nancy Nichols, brother- in- laws Donald Kempen and Lloyd Brantmeier. He is also preceded in death by a special nephew Bruce Brecklin. A funeral service and visitation will be held Thursday, August 21st, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church, 912 N. Oneida St. Appleton, WI 54911, to commemorate and celebrate Al's life. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m with Reverend Lloyd Luedeman officiating.
    Alfred's family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. William Conkright, the nurses and staff at Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology, as well as the nursing staff at St. Elizabeth's hospital who assisted in his final care.     Bruce William Brecklin, 59, Appleton, passed away on March 21, 2013 at his home of congestive heart failure. Bruce was born on October 22, 1953 to Arnold and Eleanor (Jochman) Brecklin. Bruce's mother Eleanor died when he was young. He was lucky enough to find a second mother when his father married Ione. He was a 1972 graduate of Appleton West High School. Bruce proudly served his country as a member of the US Army. He was employed with Asplundh Tree Service until his retirement. He found peace and enjoyment in the outdoors, as well as time spent "up north" at Bear Lake. Neighbors and friends will attest to Bruce's willingness to lend a helping hand, no matter the task. He was the perfect example of a loving father and son himself. In his later years, Bruce enjoyed rummaging with his uncle Dick Jochman and the memories he made with his special friend Sonia Anderson. The impact Bruce had on the lives he left behind will forever be remembered, and the man greatly missed.
    He is survived by his sons, Brett and Jeff Brecklin, his mother Ione Brecklin, sisters Barbara (David) Plamann and Mary Fuller, brothers George (Robin) Van Zeeland and Andy (Caroline) Brecklin, friend Sonia Anderson, special uncle Dick Jochman as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
    Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary Beth Brecklin and great neice Elizabeth Plamann.
    There will be a gathering in celebration of Bruce's life at Valley Funeral Home on Thursday March 28, 2013 from 5-8 pm. In keeping with Bruce's wishes there will be no funeral service. Online condolences may be expressed at www.valleyfh.com.
    In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Bruce's name.
