    Obituary:
Rodger Charles David Reichardt, age 85, of Appleton, WI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017 at Thedacare Regional Medical Center in Appleton. He was the first son born to Clarence and Nora (Krueger) Reichardt on September 27, 1931, and spent his early childhood helping on the family farm in Brillion, WI.
Rodger graduated from Brillion High School and then proudly served in the United States Navy, and was a veteran of the Korean War. After his active duty, he continued his military career in the Navy Reserves for the next 30+ years. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 38, and also a member and Commander of the VFW in Appleton, WI. He proudly represented the VFW Post 2778 in numerous parades throughout the years.
He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he met his future wife and soulmate, Lois (LaFond). He then went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
Rodger was a true "people person" and genuinely loved sharing his stories with others, even if he had no idea who they were. Everyone who talked to Rodger walked away smiling.
Rodger was a beloved teacher and guidance counselor and had a 30+ year career in the Appleton Area School District. He started out teaching at Wilson Jr. High School, and moved to Einstein Jr. High School when it opened. He taught English, History, and Government, and coached 9th grade boys basketball. After earning his Master's degree, Rodger went back to Wilson Jr. High as a guidance counselor. He was an incredible teacher and counselor who was highly respected and admired by his students and colleagues alike. Rodger truly loved everything about his career and felt blessed to be able to influence and shape the lives of his students. He loved it when former students would recognize him in the community.
Rodger was also very proud of his three sons, Guy, Randy, and Kevin, and he and Lois spent every summer camping with their sons when they were little, and in later years, enjoying time at their cottage up north.
In his retirement he enjoyed restoring old tractors- he belonged to two tractor clubs- and he proudly showed them at tractor shows around the state. He loved golfing with his buddies- having coffee weekday mornings, and taking trips with his family. In the winter, he and Lois loved being 'snowbirds' in Gulf Shores, Alabama. They welcomed many guests- family and friends- down South each winter. He also felt blessed to be on the Old Glory Honor Flight in 2014. Rodger was also a very loving grandfather; he never missed a sporting event, and was always up for an adventure. He loved playing with the grandkids and even went on roller coasters with them! His grandchildren will always cherish the beautiful memories they have of trips, family reunions, and all of his witty quips ("Rodgerisms"). They were very proud to call him Grandpa.
Rodger is survived by his loving wife, Lois (LaFond), his sons, Guy (special friend, Cheryl), Randy (special friend, Jenny), Kevin (wife, Jane), and his grandchildren, Morgan and Kenzi (Randy), and Rachel, Brady, and Olivia (Kevin and Jane). He is also survived by his sister, Priscilla (Lallie) Tahlier. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, 6 siblings, and his daughter-in-law, Shelly Reichardt.
Funeral services will be held at First United Methodist Church, 325 E. Franklin Street, Appleton, WI, at 10:30AM on Saturday, May 6th. Visitation will begin at the church from 9:00AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be set up in Rodger's honor.
The family wishes to thank Rennes Health Center for their dedication and kindness to Rodger. They also want to extend a sincere thank you to all of the selfless caregivers at Brewster Village, who touched the lives of Rodger and Lois throughout the past few months.

Sharon Lee St. Louis, 74 of Fremont, died Friday May 2, 2014 at Riverside Medical Center, Waupaca. She was born in Appleton, November 7, 1939, daughter of the late Gordon and Luella Krueger. Sharon married Byron St. Louis on September 27, 1958.
Sharon was a very spiritual person, who believed and trusted in God. She was a very artistic and creative person, she loved to do crafts, and she could sew anything. Sharon always had a sweet tooth, and loved to try different foods. She enjoyed her trips to the casino; she said that was her entertainment. She loved watching all the birds that came to her feeders, as well as the other little critters that hung out in her yard. Her greatest joy in life was her family. Her seven children were her life, and she always worried about each one of them, which kept her up at night, consequently she never slept through the night. As parents we now understand that. Sharon also very much enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; she was always there to babysit when needed.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Byron; her seven children, Carrie (Mark) Kools, Appleton, Michael (Kelly), Fremont, Terri (Paul) Meiselwitz, Appleton, Todd (Lisa), Appleton, Tammy (Chip) Kerscher, Fremont, Steven, Madison, and David (Tiffany), Appleton; 14 grandchildren, Ryan Kools (fiancée, Danielle Storm), Madison, Ben Kools, Minneapolis, MN; Stacy (Jon) Clark, Greenville, Kassie (Troy) Machovsky, Watertown, NY; Joshua St. Louis, Fremont, Katie (Mike) Niemuth, Appleton, Kyle Garrigan, Appleton, Zack Meiselwitz, Appleton, Jeremy Bottine, Appleton, Timothy Wayne (Heather) Bottine, Kaukauna, Emilee (Trever) Strong, NC; Michael Kerscher, Fremont, Madilynn St. Louis, Appleton, and Lilly St. Louis, Appleton; six great-grandchildren, with two more due this year; Sharon is further survived by a sister, Beverly Van Rooy, Appleton; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was further preceded in death by a brother, Charles Krueger; and her father and mother-in-law, Henry and Rosalie St. Louis.
In keeping with Sharon's wishes, a private family service will be held.
Sharon's family would like to extend a very special thank you to all of her doctors and nurses who cared for Sharon at Appleton Medical center, Crystal River Rehabilitation Facility, Waupaca, and Riverside Medical Center, Waupaca, for all of their care and compassion.
Sharon endured more sickness and health issues than any one person should have in a lifetime. She always had a positive attitude, never complained even toward the end when everything was going against her. "We are going to miss your daily or weekly phone calls to check in with each of us, and your silly family games; we love you and will miss you so much".
