    Mr. Edward J. Klarner, 134 Eagle St., Seymour
    Age 82, passed away Sunday morning while attending 7:30 Mass at St. John's Catholic Church, Seymour. Mr.Klarner had been in ill health for one month, He was born February 4, 1891 in Black Creek and farmed at Rt. 2, Seymour until 1957 when he moved to his present address. Prior to moving to Seymour he had been active with the Rural Seymour Volunteer Fire Dept. and had been employed at the Seymour Canning Company. On April 15, 1918 he was married to Christina Ulman. She preceded him in death in 1957 and in 1958 he married Mrs. Jennie Short in Seymour and she preceded him in death in 1971. Survivors are five sons, Edward Jr., Kimberly; Herbert and Melvin both of Appleton; Robert, Seymour; Norman, Kaukauna; three daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Mildred) Campbell, Shawano; Mrs. Robert (Rosella) Laabs, Greenleaf; Mrs. Marie DeKeyser, Appleton; 32 grandchildren and 7 Great-grand children; Four brothers, Frank. Neenah; John, Wilmette, Ill.; Joseph, Black Creek; Ervin, Appleton; three sisters, Mrs. Edward (Anna) Arndt, Appleton; Mrs. Henry (Josephine) Mueller, Neenah; Mrs. Esther Klarner. Green Bay; 11 step-children. One son, one brother, two sisters also precede him in death. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a. m. Wednesday from St John Catholic Church, Seymour with the Rev. Richard Shafer, officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends may call at the Muehl Funeral Home, Seymour after 4 p.m. Tuesday and the prayer service will be at 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

    Edward W. Klarner, Kimberly, age 92, died Sunday November 9, 2014. He was born in Seymour on August 9, 1922 to the late Edward and Christina (Ullman) Klarner. Ed married Elizabeth "Betty" Hermus at St. Joseph Church in the Town of Oneida on May 21, 1947. She preceded him in death on April 17, 2000. Ed moved to Kimberly in 1953, where he built the home he lived in for 61 years. He retired from Kimberly Clark in 1987 after 40 years of service.
    Ed entered into the U.S. Army on June 12, 1945 and was discharged on November 14, 1946. Being a veteran played a large role in his life. Ed joined the William Verhagen American Legion Post 60 in 1957 and the Color Guard in 1988. He was an active member of the Post, serving as past Commander and Chaplain. He was also a member of the Kaukauna V.F.W. Post 3319.
    Ed enjoyed woodworking, fishing, square dancing and card playing. He also enjoyed reading the paper every day. Ed was a member of Moose Lodge in Kaukauna.

    In addition to his parents and wife, Elizabeth, Ed was preceded in death by his grandson: Chad Anthony Beach; sister: Mildred (Clyde) Campbell; brothers: Robert, Norman (Betty), Herbert and infant Norbert Klarner; brother-in-law: Robert Laabs; and Marion's children: Leon Oudenhoven and Shirley Vander Heiden.

    Obituary:
    Herbert J. Klarner, age 88, of Appleton, passed away on Thursday evening, May 17, 2012. He fought a valiant battle to overcome the injuries from his fall. Herb was born on February 26, 1924, in Seymour, to the late Edward and Christina (Ulman) Klarner. He married Gladys Wolff on October 6, 1945, in Seymour. Herb retired from hauling milk for Morning Glory in 1989. In his retirement he enjoyed home maintenance, his garden, his lawn, his tractor, and especially the time spent with his grandchildren.
    Herb is survived by his wife, Gladys Klarner: his children, Ken Klarner, Mary Ann (Jim) Tellock, and Jane (Dennis) Nagreen. He has four grandchildren, Derek (Anna) Nagreen, Bradley Nagreen (fiancée Kristine McCall), Michelle Tellock and Jason Tellock. Herb enjoyed his grandchildren and is very proud of them. He will be greatly missed by all. Surviving sisters are Rosella Laabs, Marie DeKeyser, and brothers Edward Klarner and Melvin (Nancy) Klarner and sister-in-law Lucy Klarner. He has many nieces and nephews as well as grand-nieces and nephews.
    Herb was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred (Clyde) Campbell; his brothers, Robert Klarner, Norman (Betty) Klarner and a baby brother Norbert; his sister-in-law, Betty Klarner; and his brother-in-law, Bob Laabs.
    Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at ST. JOHN UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 1130 W. Marquette Street, Appleton, with Dr. Rev. Tom Fritz and Connie Perry, LLM officiating. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton, on Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday directly at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park.     Gilbert F. "Gib" Klarner, age 91, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2012, with his loving family by his side, at the Valley VNA in Neenah. Gilbert was born the son of the late Frank and Martha (Schoettler) Klarner on May 2, 1921, in Appleton. He moved to Neenah at a very early age and went through the Neenah school system, graduating from NHS in 1939. Gilbert worked for KC for several years, then for Hafemeister Machine Company until he entered the USMC during WWII. He served in the USMC about 3 ½ years in the Solomon Islands and at Cherry Point, NC in Marine Aviation. Gilbert was discharged from the USMC as a Technical Sergeant. Later on in 1947 he enlisted in the USAF, during which he proudly served as a military escort, escorting the remains of those killed in WWII overseas to their parents, wives or relatives for local burial or to a National Cemetery. He then served as a flight engineer in Japan and Korea during the Korean War. He was discharged as a Technical Sergeant after 4 years of service. He was very proud to continue his affiliation by attending military reunions throughout the country.
    On November 17, 1951, he married the love of his life, Elizabeth "Betty" Yanggen at St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha. After he was married, he was employed in the heating, air conditioning, and pipefitting profession for many years and was a member of U.A. Local 400 in Appleton. He retired in 1985, but remained an active union member for 50 years. He greatly enjoyed the sport of motorcycling for many years on his Harley's. He was a member of the Appleton and Green Bay HOG (Harley Owners Group) Chapters. He enjoyed many trips to HOG rallies all over the country, as well as participating in charity rides and events. His special yearly trek was riding his bike out to Sturgis.
    Gilbert will be missed by his loving wife of almost 61 years, Betty; their seven children: Michael A., Appleton, Thomas G., Arlington, VA, Mary Ellen (Nicholas) Kees, Mequon, Kathryn A. (Murice) Standiford, Grants Pass OR, Robert G., Neenah, Susan J. (Kevin) Wilz, Menasha, and Peggy J., Palm Desert, CA; grandchildren: Anna and Matthew Kees and a niece, Gloria (Harold Stops) Falkavage.
    He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Gloria and Margaret; and a brother, Kenneth.
    A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 528 Second Street, Menasha, with Fr. Paul Paider officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until the hour of the Mass at the church. Interment will take place in St. Mary Cemetery, Town of Menasha. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.

    Florence M. Selig, resided at Brewster Village, died September 6, 200 4, at the age of 84. She was born in Appleton, Wisconsin on January 21, 19 20, the daughter of the late John and Caroline (Zuleger) Klarner. She grad uated from Appleton High School and was a long time member of Zion Luther an Church, Appleton. On March 3, 1941, she married Elmer P. Selig. They sh ared their life together for 54 years in Appleton until Elmer's death in 1 995. Florence was employed by House of Steward Cosmetics, Viking Sewing, N ewcomers Greeting Service and Zwicker Knitting Mills, until her retireme nt in 1985. She also volunteered her time to the "Gray Ladies". Her lo ve of public speaking was evident through several awards received from "T he Toastmistress Club". She enjoyed playing golf and was a member of Ridge way Country Club for many years.
    She is survived by a son, James J.     Lowell L. Ciesielczyk, 77, Howard, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007, at his home in his sleep. He was born May 12, 1930, in Green Bay, to Stanley and Esther (Klarner) Ciesielczyk. Lowell graduated from Green Bay West High School in the Class of 1948. After school, he joined the U.S. Navy and served for 20 years earning the rank of Chief Petty Officer. On Dec. 15, 1958, Lowell was united in marriage to Genevieve Wosnig in Milwaukee. After returning from service, Lowell began a 17-year career with the Post Office where he was known as "Chief." He retired in 1985. Lowell enjoyed many sports and especially enjoyed fishing. Throughout his battle with cancer, he showed he was a great survivor and brave to the end. Lowell was a member of the D.A.V. Russell Leicht Chapter 3.
    He is survived by his wife of more than 48 years, Genevieve "Jean," a son, Arthur G. Ciesielczyk, a stepson, Robert (Kathy) Wosnig, all of Green Bay; a stepdaughter, Faith ("Skip") Gerondale, Marathon, Fla.; five grandchildren, Mike, Paul (Megan) and Ryan Wosnig, Tyler and Brianna Wosnig; two great-grandchildren, Kiefer and Keira Victoria; two brothers, Merle (Bernice) Klarner, Donald (Jean) Klarner; one sister, Carol Ann (John) Melendy; his special neighbors, David and Ruth Christophersen, Don and Ann Benedyk.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jerry Klarner and Laverne L. Ciesielczyk.
    Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Toyne officiating.

    Keith A Klarner, age 53, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday March 15, 2017. He was born March 7, 1964 to Melvin and Nancy (Blohm) Klarner. He graduated from Appleton West in 1982. He was currently working for Frontier Builders in Kaukauna, WI. Before that he worked for Badgerland Buildings and Consolidated Construction (for 25 years). He married Shelly (Leonhardt) Klarner on Sept. 21, 2001.
    Keith was a very avid Nascar and Green Bay Packer fan. He spent many, many hours remodeling his house in Freedom, WI. He was very talented in his construction and automotive skills.
    Keith is survived by his wife Shelly, his parents, Melvin and Nancy Klarner, step children Chaunte (Justin) Geitner, Eric Green, grandchildren Oriana (Oil Can) and Adalia (Spark Plug) Geitner who meant the world to him, go figure their knicknames from Grandpa would be car terms. His siblings Wayne (Jane) Klarner, Linda (Gary) Parker, Bruce (Cindy) Klarner and Karen (Bruce) Fischer. Brother and sister in-laws, Brian (Kathy) Leonhardt, Steve Leonhardt, Vicki VanEperen, Brad (Margi) Leonhardt, Pam Talavera, Tina (Greg) Nash, Dawn Thompson, Jesse Schabo, and Eddie Talavera. He is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, many other relatives, and very special friends that he was so blessed to work with throughout his years of construction. His family was his heart and soul.
    The funeral service for Keith will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Valley Funeral Home. The visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to until the time of the service.

    James J. "Jimbo" Selig, age 62, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2005, after a cour ageous fight with cancer. James resided at ManorCare Health Services, Appl eton. He was born on July 23, 1942, in Appleton to the late Elmer and Flor ence (Klarner) Selig. Jim graduated from Appleton High School in 196 0. He spent many years working at The Left Guard Charcoal House, whi ch he managed in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Florida; Jim greatly contribut ed to their unparalleled success. Jim loved being with his family and frie nds, and his Green Bay Packers, having known many of the greats of the 6 0s and 70s. He also worked for Badger Printing and Step Industries.Survivors include his daughter, Cassandra (Scott) DeWitt, Appleton, and h is son, Michael Selig, Appleton; his two grandsons, Parker and Prescott De Witt and his granddaughter, Alexandria De Witt, all of Appleton; and his t wo sisters: Katherine (Gary) Donelson, Appleton, and Suzanne (John) Leathe rsich, Middleton, Wisconsin; his nieces and nephews: Dawn (Robert) Davis-S pector, Abilene, Texas; Chadwich Walter, Rockford, Illinois; Caroline (Sco tt) Pelkin, Appleton; Kiley Davis, Clinton Township, Michigan; and Kather yn Leathersich, Middleton.James was preceded in death by his father Elmer in 1995 and his moth er in 2004, and his beloved sister, Janet Walker in 2002.Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2005, at WICHMANN F UNERAL HOME, Appleton, with Rev. Wendy Wirth-Brock officiating.     Boy Dies After Being Struck by Auto
    Chad Anthony Beach, 5, Victim of Thursday's Accident
    Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Catholic Church for Chad Anthony Beach, 5, the victim of a Thursday afternoon automobile accident just east of Kaukauna. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Beach of Route 3, Kaukauna. According to the Outagamie County Sheriff's Traffic Department, the boy was crossing Highway 96, Green Bay Road, and went into the path of a car driven by Vernon J. Demerath, 41, 321 School Street, Wrightstown, which he was traveling northeast on 96. The accident occurred about a tenth of a mile north of Claribel Street. Demerath has not been charged in the incident. Outagamie County Coroner Phil Russell said that the fatality occurred in front of the boy's home. Chad was born January 17, 1976, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton, and was enrolled in a pre-kindergarten class at Nicolet School. Survivors include his parents, Robert and Barbara Klarner Beach; a brother , Eric; and a sister, Christina, both at home; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs, Edward Klarner of Kimberly; his paternal grandparents, Mr, and Mrs. Thomas beach of Route 1, Menasha; and his paternal great-grandfather, Peter Ver Bockel of Route 4, Kaukauna. Pallbearers were Larry and Tom Klarner, Andrew Beach, and Ron Kirchner. Funeral mass was conducted by Rev, Robert Kabat, and interment was in Holy Angels Cemetery, Darboy. The Greenwood Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
