    Obituary:
    Lyle D. Kossman, age 80, of Chilton, died on Friday, February 8, 2013 at the Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers. He was born March 7, 1932 in the Town of Chilton, son of the late Oscar & Myrtle (Davis) Kossman.
    Lyle served in the United States Navy where he was able to showcase his musical talents by playing in the Navy Band. Following his discharge, he married Beverly J. Petersen on July 16, 1960 in Green Bay; during this time he farmed in the Town of Chilton until 1976. He then started his automotive sales career working for Bob Pietroske, Bob Schwiderski and later Vande Hey Brantmeier Buick, Pontiac, GMC in Chilton.
    Lyle's true passion throughout life was music. Beginning at the age of 14, he played for various bands in the area and played in the Gene Heier Orchestra for over 40 years and had most recently been playing with the Orville Konop Band. He had been a member of the Navy Musicians Association and was a former member of the Fond du Lac Musicians Association.
    Survivors include his children: Jeffrey (Katherine Hoban) Kossman of Helenville, Pamela (Morris) Fletcher of Valparaiso, IN, Timothy (Marlys) Kossman of Flagler, CO; 5 grandchildren; a brother: Donald Kossman of Chilton; and a sister: Kay (Jim) Hertel of Chilton. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Beverly; a brother: Earl; and a sister: Muriel Peil.
    Funeral Ceremony will be at 12:00 Noon on Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St) in Chilton. Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 14, 2013 and on Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 11:30 am.
    Memorials in the name of Lyle D. Kossman are greatly appreciated for the Chilton High School music department.
