Sister DeGroot was born to Frank and Anna Habermann DeGroot on February 18, 1918 in Little Chute, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lucille DeGroot and two brothers: Leslie DeGroot and Daniel DeGroot. Survivors are two sisters Leona DeGroot Speel of Appleton, WI and Florence DeGroot Duca of Racine, WI, two brothers Francis DeGroot of Appleton, WI and James Degroot of Greenville, WI. Sister Neff entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on September 3, 1935 and made first vows on August 21, 1938. She served in the missions in Indiana, California, Utah, Colorado, New Jersey, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Florida and Wisconsin. She retired at Victory Noll in 2000.
