    Obituary:
    Man Collapses, Dies on Walk to Drug Store
    Manley C. Burt, 75, of 1515 N. Appleton Street, a retired carpenter, collapsed and died near his home about 6 p.m. Saturday as he walked to a drug store. Burt was found by Mabel Duwel, 1506 N. Appleton, where he had fallen on the sidewalk in front of 1504 N. Appleton. Burt was taken to Appleton Memorial hospital by Lindy's Ambulance, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Coroner Bernard H. Kemps ruled death was caused by a heart stricture. Burt had earlier complained of pains in the chest, his widow told Kemps.
    Burt was born Jan 10, 1884, in Manitowoc county and had been a resident of Appleton since 1927.
    Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Olive Lutheran church. Friends may call at Wichmann Funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, then at the church. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park.
    Burt is survived by his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Raymond Kumrow, Seymour, Mrs. Joseph Kronser, Appleton, and Mrs. Sylvester Jansen, Kimberly; six sons, Milton, Lyle and Arlin, all of Appleton, Melvin, Casper, Wyo., Davis, Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif., and Manley, Jr., Kimberly; one brother, John, Marshfield; and 19 grandchildren.

    Ila Mae Jansen, 80, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Prairie Home Assisted Living with her family by her side. Ila Mae was born on January 5, 1933 to the late Manley and Erna (Lange) Burt in Appleton. She was married to the late Sylvester Jansen on June 17, 1950, and they had six children. Ila Mae then married the late Clayton Kieffer on February 3, 1983. Ila Mae enjoyed gardening, reading, and shopping. She will be remembered for many things by those who knew and loved her. Ila Mae was a member of the Riverview Ev. Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary Post #33.
    Ila Mae is survived by her five children; Joyce (Lawrence) Castrop, Donald (Helen) Jansen, David (Diane) Jansen, Roger (Kris) Jansen, and Christine (Larry) Schiltz; 15 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one sister Claire (Burt) Kronser and one brother Arlin Burt, dear friends, Dorothy (Gene) Greening, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Ila Mae was preceded in death by her husbands, her son, Michael Jansen and brothers; Arvin, Lee, Lyle, Manley and Davis.
    A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI COUNTY CHAPEL, 3212 S. Oneida St. with Rev. Dennis W. Belter officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ila Mae's name can be made to the Dementia Association.
    The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Pastor's Belter and Bode, Christine Anderson, Prairie Homes Assisted Living, Lakeland Care District, Heartland hospice and all of their staff for the wonderful care, comfort and support that they all gave our Mother.     Arlin A. Burt, age 78, of Appleton, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, August 25, 2013. Arlin was born on July 6, 1935, in Appleton, to the late Manley C. and Erna M. (Lange) Burt. He was employed at Miller Electric for over 29 years, retiring on July 31, 1997. Arlin was well known as a home builder, professional painter and woodworker, and owned a service station in Appleton for several years. Many people were blessed with his highly developed woodworking talents and craftsmanship. Arlin was an avid and accomplished bowler and gardener. Arlin proudly served his country as a sergeant in the National Guard. He was also a Life Time member of the Handymans Club.
    Survivors include his sister, Clarice (Joseph) Kronser; his sister-in-law, Jeanette Burt; and his dear friends, Gene and Dorothy Greening. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and his friends at Community Care Partnership Team, Arcadia, Outagamie Housing Authority, and the Aging and Disability Community Charities.
    He was preceded in death by his sister, Ila Mae Jansen; his brothers Lee Burt, Lyle Burt and Manley Burt, Jr., his twin brother, Arvin; his brother Davis Burt; his sister-in-law, Johanna Burt; and his half siblings, Helen, Viola, Melvin, Milton and Medora.
    Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2013, at MOUNT OLIVE EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 930 E. Florida Avenue, Appleton, with Rev. Robert Raasch officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
    The family would like to extend a sincere thank you the physicians and staff at the ICU Unit at St. Elizabeth Hospital, for their loving care. A memorial has been established in Arlin's name. Online condolences may be offered at ww.wichmannfargo.com

    Constance "Connie" Germaine Jacobs, age 63, of Appleton, passed away at home Thursday, March 10, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Connie was born September 16, 1952, in Appleton, the daughter of Jeannette (Koestler) Burt and the late Lyle Burt. She was a 1970 graduate of Appleton West High School, where she won the Betty Crocker Award for cooking.
    On June 11, 1971, Connie married Wayne D. Jacobs, in the Church of the Open Bible in Appleton, where they would reside and raise their family. Connie worked in the food service and electronics business, but enjoyed being a homemaker more than anything
    Connie was very active in her church, Fox Valley Christian Fellowship. She further enjoyed crocheting, gardening, feeding her birds, traveling and camping. Connie was an avid sports fan, especially following her Badgers, Brewers and Packers. Above all else, she especially loved spending quality time with her loving family. Connie will always be remembered for her favorite saying "That's Awesome".
    She is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Jacobs; daughters, Deborah (Mark) Schiller, Kim Hollingsworth, and Nena Kandler; grandchildren, Michaela, Jacob, Tyler, Alyson and Mia; mother, Jeannette (Koestler) Burt; and brother, Rick (Debbie) Burt. Connie is further survived by her mother-in-law, Marilyn (Rugg) Jacobs; nieces, Melissa and Tanya; nephew, Kevin; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other special in-laws and friends.
    Family and friends may call on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, from 9 a.m.-11 a.m., at Fox Valley Christian Fellowship, 1200 W. Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly. A Celebration of Connie's Life will be held at 11 a.m., in the church, with the Rev. Steve Nickel officiating.
    Connie's family extends a Special Thank You to the AMC 7th & 8th Floors and Thedacare at Home Hospice, especially nurse Mary, for the wonderful care given to Connie.
