    Obituary:
    Verna D. Stedl, age 96, formerly of Greenleaf, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at North Ridge Health and Medical Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc. Verna was born on June 11, 1920 in Calumet County, daughter of the late Orvin and Sophia (Stanelle) Kreiman. On July 26, 1941, she married Frank W. Stedl. He preceded her in death in 1989. Verna enjoyed gardening, flowers, crocheting, baking, and spending time with her family.She is survived by her three children: Richard Stedl of Brillion, Karen Stedl of Greenleaf, and Rita Brantmeier of Rosecrans; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; four sisters: Margaret Kroening of Brillion, Clara Breisch of Carmel, IN, Gertrude Jagodinsky, and Gladys Mazanec, both of Manitowoc; one brother and sister-in-law: Alvin (Joyce) Kreiman of Wakita, OK; daughter of some of her grandchildren: Liz Stedl; father of some of her grandchildren: Vernon Martin; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank, an infant daughter Eunice, and infant grandson James, sister: Helena Gander, infant sister: Minnie Kreiman, brother: Albert Kreiman, son-in-law: Jerry Brantmeier, and other in-laws.Funeral Service will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Monday evening, December 19, 2016 at the Wieting Funeral Home, 215 South Main Street in Brillion. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Forest Junction.
