On the 7th inst., August Steffens, a resident of Red Wing, started to make a visit to Belgium, the country of his nativity. When a few miles east of Pittsburgh, Pa., he fell from the train, receiving severe injuries in the head. He was taken to the West Pennsylvania hospital in Pittsburgh, where he died. His remains were sent to Red Wing for internment.
