    Chilton - Theodore Berrens, 84, resident of Chilton for many years, died Tuesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs Victor Orde, 317 S. Jackson street, Green Bay, where he resided the past four years. He suffered a stroke on Dec. 29.
    Mr. Berrens was born in St. Cloud, Fond du Lac county. His wife, who was formerly Catherine Wollersheim of St. Peter, Fond du Lac county, died in 1920.
    Survivors are five sons and four daughters, Peter of Menasha, John, Joseph, Edward and Carl of Chilton, Mrs. Victor Order of Green Bay, Mrs. Elmer Bostwick of Fond du Lac, and Mrs. Lloyd Link and Mrs. Anton Zeckmeyster of Milwaukee, 29 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two brothers, Barney Berrens of Huron, South Dakota, and Adam Berrens of Fond du Lac, and a sister, Mrs. Edward Burg, of Jasper, Minn.
    The body was brought to Chilton Tuesday to the home of John Berrens, where it can be viewed until Thursday at 9:30 a.m., when funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic church. The Rev.. Father Hunck will officiate and burial will be made in St. Mary's cemetery.

    Fred Berrens, Who Was Injured at the Wolf Chair Factory Last Week, Died Monday.
    Fred Berrens, the announcement of whose injuries at the Wolf Chair factory was made in our last issue, died from the effects at his home on Mill Street, about 10 o'clock last Sunday night. He was born in Chilton April 17, 1882, and was wedded about four years ago to Miss Minnie Borts, who survives him as do also his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Berrens of Chilton, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Mary Bostick, Heineman; Mrs. Christina Horth, Baraboo; John, Merrill; Peter, Edward, Joseph, Carl, Florence and Katie of Chilton.
    The funeral took place Wednesday afternoon at the German Reformed church, Rev. Beisser officiating. The local council N. F. L., of which the deceased was a member, attended in a body and interment was made in the city cemetery. Mr. Berrens was a young man of quiet demeanor and good character and his early departure from earthly spheres is cause for much regret.

    John Berrens, 63, Chilton, ill for six months, died about 1:30 this morning at a Fond du Lac hospital where he had been confined for two weeks.
    Berrens, a former Chilton alderman, was born Dec. 12, 1886, in Chilton and lived there all his life. He was a butcher. He was a member of the Holy Name society of St. Mary Catholic church, Chilton.
    Survivors are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Elroy Starfeldt, Chilton; four brothers, Peter Berrens, Menasha, Joseph Berrens, Appleton, and Edward and Carl Berrens, Chilton; three sisters, Mrs. Elmer Bostick, Fond du Lac, Mrs. Lloyd Link, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Anton Zechmeister, Saukville; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
    Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Chilton, after 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon. The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock on Sunday and Monday evenings.
    After the cortege forms at the funeral home at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning, services will be at St. Mary Catholic church, Chilton, at 9:30 with the Rev. Joseph Bartelme, pastor, in charge. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

    Aluminum Speacialty Press Operator Dies At Age Of 74
    Edward Pat Berrens, Sr., 74, of 301 East Main street, Chilton, died at 11:10 a.m. Tuesday at the Calumet Memorial hospital. He had been ill one month.
    Mr. Berrens was born in Chilton on Sept. 28, 1888, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Berrens. He had lived in Chilton all his life.
    He attended St. Mary's Parochial school, Chilton. Now retired, he had been a press operator at the Aluminum Specialty company, Chilton, for many years.
    In September of 1914 he married Lena Scherer. She died Sept. 10, 1944.
    Survivors include six sons, Edward, Jr., Eugene, Arthur and Claude, Chilton, Victor, Appleton, and Robert, Manitowoc; two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Melchiors, Appleton, and Mrs. Katherine Forstner, Chilton; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Peter, Manitowoc, Joseph, Appleton, and Carl, Chilton; and two sisters, Mrs. Florence Link, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Katherine Zechnister, Saukville.
    Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Erbe-Hoffmann Funeral home, Chilton, and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Augustine's Catholic church, Chilton, with the Rev. Roland Ahearn officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
    Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday until the time of services.

    Mr. Berrens was born Sept. 28, 1888, at Chilton, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Berrens. He married Leona Scherer in September of 1914. She preceded him in death in September of 1944. He worked as a press operator at Aluminum Specialty Co., Chilton, until retirement.

    Edward H. Berrens, 60 School St., Chilton, age 82, died on Monday, November 16, 1998, at Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. He was born July 26, 1916, in Stockbridge, son of the late Edward and Lena Scherer Berrens. Pat married Leona L. Krebsbach Zorn on October 4, 1947, at St. Joe. She preceded him in death on September 30, 1968. He served in the United States Army during World War II and worked at the Aluminum Specialty Company in Chilton until retiring in 1978. He was a member of St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Chilton and also served as custodian there from 1978 until 1992. He is survived by six daughters, Debbie Joe Dotson, Chilton; Patty Bernie Geiser, Chilton; Sharon Zorn, Chilton; Shirley Twining, Neenah; Mary Berrens, Chilton; Deloris Berrens, Chilton; a son-in-law, Karl Bubolz, Reedsville; 24 grandchildren; two sisters, Gertrude Melchoirs, Appleton, and Katherine Bill Forstner, Chilton; two brothers, Gene Deloris Berrens, Chilton, and Robert Berrens, Manitowoc.     Chilton, Wisconsin - Catherine M. Forstner, age 98, of Chilton, died on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Century Ridge in Chilton. She was born January 29, 1920 in Chilton, daughter of the late Edward & Leona (Scherer) Berrens.
    Catherine married William Charles Forstner on August 24, 1940 in Chilton; he preceded her in death on January 27, 2003.
    Through her working years, Catherine was employed by Larson Cleaners in Chilton and then Aluminum Specialty. During her tenure there, they became known as Foley from where she retired.
    She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, formerly St. Mary Parish.
    Catherine always enjoyed a good laugh and never missed an opportunity to have fun with her family or friends. She and her husband, William, traveled through every contiguous lower 48 states along with Mexico and Canada forever looking for new adventures or excitement. Catherine's love of life and excitement of new places and adventures allowed her to bridge the gap of generations and make friends with people she met along life's highway.
    Survivors include her daughter: Yvonne (Lowell) Holdorf of Kiel; her sons: William (Lois) Forstner of Chilton, Kenneth (Sally Jo) Forstner of Kimberly; her 8 grandchildren: Lee, Mark & David Holdorf, Lisa (David) Arvai, Dale (Missy) Forstner, Mike Forstner, Jenny Forstner, Jill (Phil) Ullmer; 13 great grandchildren with one arriving soon; and 10 great-great grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 1 sister; and 6 brothers.
    Private family services are being held. Burial will be in the Streckert Cemetery in the Town of Eaton.

    Eugene P. "Gene" Berrens, age 92, of Chilton, died on Monday, October 14, 2013. Gene was born on October 2, 1921 to the late Edward & Lena (Scherer) Berrens.
    He married Deloris Zorn on October 9, 1948; they celebrated 55 wonderful years together. Gene worked at Chilton Aluminum, later known as Mirro / Foley.
    Gene loved baseball; in his younger years he was a bat boy, played baseball with friends, and looked forward to attending Milwaukee Braves Games. Later in life, Gene enjoyed watching and listening to Milwaukee Brewers games.
    Gene & Deloris spent over 15 summers at their trailer in Shawano, enjoying camping with their grandchildren and friends. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride & joy. He loved spending time with his family at many get-togethers.
    Gene was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, formerly St. Augustine Parish, and devoted time to the Perpetual Adoration Chapel.
    He is survived by his daughter: Joan (Dale) Walber; a son: Tom Berrens & his special friend, Sue Ellen Hoes; a son-in-law: Bob Harder; grandchildren: Kelly (Matt) Forster, Brittany & Brooke Berrens; great grandsons: Marcus & Bradley Forster; and a sister: Katie Forstner. He is further survived by other family members and friends.
    Gene was preceded in death by his wife; two daughters: Nancy Harder and infant daughter, Jean; a sister: Gert; and brothers: Art, Edward (Pat), Bob, Vic, & Claude.
    Funeral service will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton with the Rev. Larry Abler O.F.M. Cap. officiating. Entombment will be in the Knollwood Mausoleum. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 am until 12:00 Noon on Saturday, October 19, 2013.

    Obituary:
    Claude Berrens, 59, Oshkosh, died today at home.
    He was born April 16, 1927, in Chilton, the son of Edward and Nina Star Berrens. He married Charlotte M. Gercke Oct. 2, 1956, in Oshkosh.
    Mr. Berrens was a baker for Berrens bakery, Chilton, for 22 years and later worked several years for Werich Used Cars, Oshkosh. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Surviving are his widow; four brothers, Robert, Manitowoc, and Gene, Art and Edward Jr., all of Chilton; and two sisters, Catherine Fastner, Chilton, and Gertrude Melcher, Appleton. Services will be Monday at 4 p.m. Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, the Rev. Karl Buresch officiating, burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of services.
