Obituary:
Ruth Flannery, age 63, New London, passed away on April 4, 2011, surrounded by her loving family at her residence after a eight year illness. Ruth was born on July 4, 1947, in Ellington Township daughter of Elmer and Irene (Tennie) Fassbender. On July 26, 1969, she was united in marriage to James Flannery. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and grandchildren, she also enjoyed camping and fishing. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Stephensville.
She is survived by her husband James; her mother, Irene; three sons, John (Ellen), Shiocton; Pat (Valery), Shiocton; and Dan at home. Her brothers, Larry (Margene) Fassbender, Greenville; Gary Fassbender (special friend Gloria), Appleton; Rick (Sherri) Fassbender, Stephensville; Joe Fassbender, Hortonville; Jim (Angie) Fassbender, Greenville; sisters, Louise (Richard) Malouf, New London, Joan (Jack) Kuhnke, Greenville; Patricia (Bruce) Learman, Hortonville; Kathy (Rickie) Phillips, Bear Creek; sister-in-laws, Robin Fassbender, Bear Creek; Carol Fassbender, Hortonville and June (Dave) Sawall, New London. Five grandchildren, Zachary, Katelyn, Ethan, Samuel and Reid and also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer; a brother, Tom Fassbender and a brother-in-law, Robert Flannery.
Funeral Mass for Ruth will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Stephensville with Fr. John Kastenholz and Sr. Pauline Feiner officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, from 4-8 p.m. a 7:30 prayer service will be held. Friends may also call at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
