Obituary:
Clarence R. Daniels, 57, Wrightstown, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 21, 2009. He was born November 29, 1951, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, son of the late Clarence "Connie" E. and Ruth (Byers) Daniels. He graduated from Wrightstown High School in 1970, and served his country in the United States Army, serving in Korea. He married Janice Aerts, October 5, 1973, in Wrightstown. Clarence worked for Allied Fireplace in Appleton for 25 years, retiring in 2003. Clarence loved spending a lot of time with his dear grandkids. Clarence was very community minded, and especially loved coaching baseball, including his two sons and his enduring relationships with the young men he coached over 15 years. He also loved golfing, fishing, hunting, playing Keno, discussing politics of the day, watching the Packers, and was an avid Cubs fan.
Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Janice; two sons, Keith (Christina) Daniels, and Bradford Daniels, both of Wrightstown; two grandchildren, Madilyn and Gavin; three siblings, James (Linda) Daniels, Portland, ME, Carol (Mark) Thurston, Green Bay, and Katie (Guy) VandenHeuvel, Denmark; mother-in-law, Nettie Aerts, Wrightstown; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Don and Rose Aerts, Wrightstown, Russ and Joan Aerts, Wrightstown, Ken and Yvonne Cumbers, Green Bay, Roger and Mary Aerts, Bonita Springs, FL, Judy and Lennie Vickman, Wrightstown, Ruth (Jim Wellner) Aerts, Wrightstown, and Tom and Ann Aerts, Wrightstown; many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, James and Evelyn Byers; brother, Eugene; brother-in-law, Dick Aerts; father-in-law, Elzear Aerts; numerous aunts and uncles, especially, John Byers.
Family and friends may call Wednesday, March 25, 2009, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at DeWane-Cotter Funeral Home, 711 Main St., Wrightstown. The visitation will conclude with a sharing of memories by family and friends. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Askeaton. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
