    Obituary:
    Glen W. Lappen, Kaukauna. age 85, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2013, surrounded by his family at St. Paul Elder Services after a brave battle with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. Glen was born on November 27, 1927 in Kaukauna, the son of the late Joseph and Alma (Borree) Lappen. After graduating from Kaukauna High School in 1945, Glen enlisted in the Navy from 1945 - 1947. He served and participated in "Operations Crossroads Atomic Bomb Testing" in the Marshall Islands. Glen served his country proudly and was proud to be a Navy Veteran. Glen was employed at Thilmany Paper Mill for over 40 years until his retirement. In his retirement years he loved to take care of all of his grandchildren. They became the light of his life! He also enjoyed the addition of his lake home at Legend Lake where he could fix more things, relax on his pontoon boat, fishing, and eating Cheetos surrounded by his best fur friends; Maggie and DJ. Glen was a very faith filled man and an active member of St. Aloysius parish for many years. He was happiest with a dog at his side and a baby to rock on his lap!
    Glen met and married the "love of his life", Patricia (Taylor) Lappen on October 6, 1951 in Kaukauna, she survives. From that marriage came 4 children (all whom survive him today): son: Tom (Mary) and their 2 daughters: Rebecca, Appleton and Elizabeth, Pennsylvania; twin daughters: Kay (Michel) DeYoung, Appleton, WI and her 2 sons: Matthew Verhagen, Appleton and Joshua Verhagen, Kaukauna; Karen (Dean) Sinclair, Jackson, WI and their 2 daughters: Lieza Sinclair, Kaukauna and Lauren (Nate) Evans, Milwaukee; son, Tim (Michelle Neeck) Lappen and their daughter; Chloe Lappen, Appleton; great-grandchildren: Elijah (Buddy) Sinclair, twins: Faith and Will Evans, Audrey Evans and Nahla Sinclair. Glen is further survived by his brother Bill (Ellen) Lappen, Oconto Falls, WI; 2 brothers-in-law: William (Branca) Taylor, Littleton, CO and Richard (Marge) Taylor; sister-in-law: Mary (Taylor) and Carl Engerson, Mobile, AL; and many nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his: parents, 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert, Don (Mary) Lappen, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marie Taylor McGinnis and Lyle McGinnis.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at ST. ALOYSIUS CHURCH, 2401 Main Ave., Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends will be received at church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.     Glen's family would like to thank the staff at the St. Paul Elder Services along with the Hospice team; especially those in Appletree Court and Poppy Path; for their excellent care, love and concern shown during his stay! They treated him with dignity and compassion during the hardest battle of his life! Thank you so much…you made a very difficult time so much easier for his family! We will be forever grateful for easing him into his next journey in life.

    Obituary:
    Yvonne B. Landwehr of Sheboygan died peacefully Wednesday, March 2, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 81. She was born in Kaukauna to Martha and Erv Borree on January 6, 1935. In 1957, she married her devoted and loving husband Richard Landwehr with whom she raised four children and shared 59 wonderful years. "Von" or "Vonnie," as she was affectionately known, attended UW-Madison's School of Pharmacy and was one of only two women in her graduating class. She worked as a licensed pharmacist for 45 years, primarily at Grube's, a family owned pharmacy on Sheboygan's north side. Vonnie was a remarkable, loyal and wise woman of many talents, with a terrific sense of humor, an incredibly generous spirit and an immense capacity to love. She was an award-winning quilter who loved gardening, loons, sunsets, the Wisconsin Badgers, the Chicago Cubs and going up north with her extended family. Von loved spending Saturday mornings with her coffee ladies at McDonald's, a ritual of friendship that stood the test of time for more than 35 years. She was an avid reader and walker who logged five miles every day. Her favorite route was along Lake Michigan and she especially enjoyed taking a break during her daily power walk to read her book on a jetty. While she generously gave her time as a volunteer to many organizations, spending time with her family was Von's greatest joy. She was known for making every occasion special, whether at a backyard party on the 4th of July or Christmas Eve at "Gran's house," which was a treasured tradition for her seven grandchildren. Regardless of the occasion, no one ever left Von's house hungry. Von was loved immensely and is survived by her husband Richard; children Martha (Doug) Leppanen, Laura (Patrick) Planton, Robert (Karen) Landwehr and David (Ann) Landwehr; grandchildren Elizabeth (Brad) Frias, Katherine (Luke) Schroeder, John Leppanen, Grace Leppanen, Eric Landwehr, Eleanor Landwehr and Emily Landwehr; and siblings Judy Borree, John (Betty) Borree and Richard (Rosie) Borree. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Margaret Kilgas; and great-grandson Patrick Schroeder. Von was very much looking forward to the birth of a great-grandchild, Baby Frias, this summer. In addition, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family too numerous to name will deeply miss Vonnie's kindness, love, laughter and generosity. Von was an active member of Holy Name Church, 818 Huron Avenue, where a visitation to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, March 7. Visitation begins at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vonnie's memory can be made to Sharon Richardson Hospice, W2850 WI-28, Sheboygan Falls, WI 53085 or St. Vincent de Paul, 4215 WI-42, Sheboygan, WI 53083. The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Yvonne's arrangements.     Margaret Kilgas, "Muggs", Kaukauna, age 78 died peacefully on March 13, 2015 at her home. She was born August 5, 1937 in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Ervin and Martha (Verkuilen) Borree. On December 27, 1958 Muggs married her high school sweetheart, Donald Kilgas. The couple enjoyed 34 years of marriage together prior to his death in 1992. Muggs retired from Thilmany Pulp and Paper. She enjoyed her pool, her dog and her friends. Muggs spent as much time with the grandchildren as she could. She enjoyed "celebrating life" (as loudly as she could). Muggs was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish at St. Mary Church, active in the Kaukauna Alumni Association, the Outagamie Historical Society, a member of the "Red Hats" and she volunteered at Memorial Gardens.
    She is survived by her son, Christopher and Sue Kilgas, Kaukauna; 2 daughters: Kay (Tim) Siebers, Kaukauna and Ann (Branden) Hacker, Kaukauna; 5 grandchildren: Lisa Kilgas, Matt Kilgas, James Siebers, Lexi Hacker and Cameron Hacker; her dog and buddy "Buckeye"; 2 brothers: Dick (Rosie) Borree, Little Chute and John (Betty) Borree; 2 sisters: Yvonne (Richard) Landwehr, Sheboygan and Judy Borree, Mt. Horeb, WI; numerous nieces and nephews. She is further survived by her husband's sisters: Rita Gatz, Kaukauna and Joan (Francis) Gerow, Kaukauna.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Don in 1992 and a granddaughter, Monica.
    Funeral Services for Margaret will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at St. Mary Church, 119 West 7th St., Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating.
