    Obituary:
    Harry D. Altergott, Sr., Little Chute, age 77, died on Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at his home. Harry was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on March 14, 1927, son of the late Henry, Sr. and Helene (Olson) Altergott. As a child, he attended schools in West Allis, WI; Michigamme, MI and in Beacon Hill, MI. He graduated from Kimberly High School in 1945. Also as a child, Harry worked with his brother and father when they owned Wisconsin Salvaging Company. He served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. During his military service, he was a boxer and sparred with Demci and Telli. In 1953, he attended Kansas City, MO School for Mechanical Engineering, where he graduated in 1957. In 1940, his mother founded Altergott Plumbing in Little Chute. In the late 1950's, he attended school to become a Master Plumber. He then began work at Altergott Plumbing, carrying on the family business for 51 years. Harry married Evelyn Rusch on June 27, 1964 and they shared 40 years of marriage together. He was a member o! f the Free and Accepted Mason's and a Past Master of Waverly Lodge 51. He was also a member of the Knights of Phythias. Harry loved rebuilding cars and attending car auctions. He loved raising animals, especially his sheep and monkeys. His favorite monkey was named Sally.
    Harry will be greatly missed by his wife, Evelyn; his daughter, Helen; his son, Harry, Jr. and special friend, Jody; a brother, Harvey; and sister, Helene Huver.
    He was preceded in death by his brother, Henry, Jr.
    The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, January 13, 2005 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Steve Shepard officiating. Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 12, from 5 until 8 p.m., and again at the funeral home on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
