    Age 89, Hortonville, passed away peacefully, with her children at her side, on Friday, September 25, 2009 at St. Joseph Residence, New London. Lorraine was born on April 11, 1920 in the Town of Greenville, the daughter of Joseph and Catherine (Seiif) Beschta. On August 24, 1940 she married Wilbur Winkenwerder resided in Medina until moving to Hortonville in 1971. Her first husband Wilbur Winkenwerder preceded her in death on July 22, 1962. On March 4, 1976, she married Wilbur "Pete" Nussbaum; he preceded her in death on April 15, 2005.
    She had been employed at the Hortonville Canning Factory, Campbell's Department Store in Appleton and retired from Wire Products of Hortonville after 17 years. She was a life long member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church and over a fifty year member of the Christian Women's Society. She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends. Her freezer was always full of "goodies".
    Lorraine is survived by her children, Joyce (Bill) Kramer, Jim (Diane) Winkenwerder, all of Hortonville. "Pete's" son, Ralph (Sherry) Nussbaum, Marshfield. Grandchildren: Bob (Jill) Kramer, Steve (Becky) Kramer, Kris (Bryan) Cartwright, Patti (Will) Thern, Jeff (Mary Jo) Winkenwerder, Trisha (Chad) Ewing, Jeff (Kim) Nussbaum, Ben (Bridgette) Nussbaum, David Nussbaum, Julie Nussbaum. Great-grandchildren: Brett and Drew Kramer, Kaitlin Kramer, Brady and Jake Cartwright, Tayler, Dustin and Alaina Thern, Lindy Winkenwerder, Lydia and Kendall Ewing, and Zach and Lucy Nussbaum. Brothers-in-law, Vic Winkenwerder and Eugene (Sam) Wolf. She is further survived by many special nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
    Besides her parents and husbands, Lorraine was preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Art (Helen) Beschta, Elmer (Dorothy) Beschta, Adeline (Sylvester) Giesen, and Ella (Bob) Griesbach and a Great grandson, Evan Winkenwerder.

    Lorraine Nussbaum, "Winkenwerder," 89, Hortonville, passed away peacefully, with her children at her side, on Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at St. Joseph Residence, New London. Lorraine was born on July 11, 1920, in the Town of Greenville, the daughter of Joseph and Catherine (Seiif) Beschta.     Funeral Services for Lorraine will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at 11 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Hortonville, with Fr. Jim Feely and Parish Director, Greg Layton, officiating. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
    The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph Residence for their care over the past three years and also Heartland Hospice for their compassion and help.

    Obituary:
    William Arthur Beschta, age 81, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at his home in the Town of Center, after his battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was born on May 30, 1931 in Hortonville, the son of the late Arthur and Helen (Krause) Beschta. Bill married Carol Jean Reiland on July 28, 1953 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Mackville.
    Bill was a crane operator from 1953 until buying a farm in 1961 and farmed with his family until 1988. He took great pride in his farm and cows. Bill then purchased his own crane and dug many ponds in the surrounding area.
    Bill loved tractor pulling. He and his brother-in-law, Ron Reiland built their own eliminator and started the Mackville Tractor Pull 37 years ago. This year he missed his first pull, Bill was either pulling or a spectator.
    He also enjoyed spending the winters in Florida, shuffle board and playing sheepshead and horseshoes, listening to polka music, and playing his accordion for all the little grandchildren. In his earlier years he liked rabbit and pheasant hunting with his sons and brothers-in-law.
    A devoted husband and father, Bill now joins his son Tim in Heaven, and leaves his beloved wife of 59 years. He will forever be remembered and loved by his children and their spouses.
    Bill is survived by his wife: Carol Jean "Jeannie" Beschta; children: Bonnie (Tom) Lemieux, Terry (Jo) Beschta, Tom (Diana) Beschta, Vickie (Dan) Van Den Bogart, Julie (Tim) Pitsch and Dawn (Dale) Barth; Roger (Jane) Reiland, who was like a son: his treasured grandchildren: Michelle, Chad, Riki, Chase, Kelly, Brittany, Dylan, Noah, TJ, Nicki, Ryan, Tyler, Cierra, Garrett and Cameron, and Chris Rottier; Jessica, Justin, Nicholas and Allison Reiland, who were like grandchildren; his cherished great grandchildren: Gavin, Teagan, Braden, Corbin, Benae, Alex, Amari, Paige and Max. And last, but not least, Grandpa's favorite four-legged friends, Val, Mitsy and Sammy, who came to visit him every day for their dog treats.
    He is further survived by his brother: Art (Shirley) Beschta, Jr., and his sister: June (Harold) Strey, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Eunice and Bill Petit.
    The funeral liturgy for Bill will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at ST. EDWARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, Hwy 47 North in Mackville. Fr. Charles Brooks, Fr. Dan Felton and Deacon Jeff Hofacker will be officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. A time of visitation will take place on Saturday from 8:30 am until the time of mass.

    Larry L. Strey, age 54, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2011, at Appleton Medical Center, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Larry was born on February 7, 1956, in New London, son of Harold and June (Beschta) Strey. Larry attended Hortonville High School, graduating in 1974. On November 17, 1979, he married Nancy Griesbach in Appleton. Larry worked for Curwood in New London for 26 years, where he would become a supervisor. He was also a firefighter and Safety Captain for the Greenville Fire Department for over 30 years. Larry loved being outdoors, hunting, camping, classic cars and attending car shows.
    Larry is survived by his wife, Nancy; his son, Cory (Amanda) Strey; his parents, Harold and June Strey; two sisters, Sheryl (Randy) Asman, children, Marissa and Jeremy, and Karen (Dave) Syring, children, Angela, Ashley, and Amy; one brother, Randy (Karen) Strey, children, Savannah, Falyn, Grace, Summer Gorges, and Logan (Tina) Gorges, with son, James; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon (Alvin) Rathsack, children, Brian (Sally) Rathsack, children, Ella, Harris, and Miles, and Tina (Jeremy) Krueger, son, Mason; and many other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his daughter, Crystal; his mother- and father-in-law, Floyd and Mary Griesbach; his maternal grandparents, Arthur and Ethel Beschta; step-grandmother, Helen Beschta; and his paternal grandparents, Charles and Linda Strey.
    The funeral service for Larry will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2011, at IMMANUEL EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, W7265 School Road, Greenville, with Rev. Joel Heckendorf officiating. Friends may call at church from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2011, and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Hortonville, will be private. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at the Martha Siekman Cancer Center, Dr. William Guenther, and the Greenville Fire Department and First Responders for their care, compassion, and support, and also to Rev. Joel Heckendorf and Rev. David Scharf for their spiritual support.

    Gregory K. "Greg" Griesbach
    Age 57 of Hortonville, passed into the loving arms of his heavenly Savior on Thursday, August 22, 2013, at the Appleton Medical Center with his family at his side. Greg was born on October 19, 1955, in Appleton, Wisconsin, the son of LeRoy and Joyce (Shaw) Griesbach. On June 22, 1985, he was joined in marriage to Donna Lenzner.
    Greg was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville. He was a dedicated employee of the Village of Hortonville for the last 24 years. Greg enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming, listening to polka music, and watching the birds that visited his feeders.
    Greg was a loving husband and father who is survived by his wife, Donna; mother, Joyce Griesbach; five children, Nick Griesbach, Jeremy (Michelle) Young, Rhonda (Brad) Gaertner, Renee (Jason) Peters, and Greg Griesbach, II; grandsons, Gavin Young, Logan and Dylan Gaertner, and Blake Griesbach; brothers and sisters, Dennis (Tasha) Griesbach, Vicki (Mark) Countney, Mike (Barb) Griesbach, Debbie (Paul) Kettner, Jeff (Joan) Griesbach, Mary (Ron) Meverden, Pat (Dawn) Griesbach, Bob Griesbach, and LeAnn (Keith) Lenzner. He is further survived by his mother-in-law, Ramona Lenzner; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ron (Donna) Lenzner, Patti (Neil) Davis, Debbie (Wayne) Obry, Scott Lenzner, Kathy (Mike) Paltzer, Keith (LeAnn) Lenzner, and Kent Lenzner; his dog and faithful companion, Jay; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
    Greg is preceded in death by his father, LeRoy; father-in-law, Wallace "Wally" Lenzner; and sister-in-law, Gloria Griesbach.
    Greg's greatest joys were his family and friends. He was truly loved and will be sadly missed.
    A funeral service for Greg will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Monday, August 26, 2013, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 126 N. Pine Street, Hortonville, with Rev. Ralph Rosenberg and Rev. Joel Jenswo ld co-officiating. Family and friends may call directly at church Sunday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and again at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Hortonville, Wisconsin.
    The family would like to thank Greg's primary physician, Dr. Charles McKee, as well as the doctors, nurses, and staff at Appleton Medical Center and the Martha Siekman Cancer Center, especially Dr. Xin Yao, Dr. Editha Krueger; Alicia Schumacher N.P.; nurses, Laura, Ben, and Laura; staff Paula, Patty, and Lynn; and volunteer, Curt. The family would also like to thank both Rev. Ralph Rosenberg and Rev. Joel Jenswold for their loving support and many visits.

    Heenan, Bradley J. Brad Heenan, age 24, of Appleton and Weyauwega, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at Appleton Medical Center. He was born January 15, 1983, in Appleton the son of Diane (Heenan) Zielke and Jeffrey Gerrits. Brad lived in the Appleton area all of his life and was a graduate of Appleton East High School class of 2001. Brad worked at several area businesses and was currently employed at Resource One. Brad loved to spend time with family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, four wheeling, golf, fishing, and just hanging out with his buddies.
    He will be deeply missed by his mother and step-father Diane (Mike) Zielke, Weyauwega; his father, Jeff (Laura) Gerrits, Appleton; grandparents: Beverly Heenan and Bob and Mildred Gerrits all of Appleton; great-grandmother, Dorothy Beschta, Hortonville; sister Melissa Gerrits; many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins; a special friend Matt Rathsack and many dear friends.
    Brad was preceded in death by his grandfather Charles Heenan.
    A celebration of Brad's life will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, October 27th, at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Chapel with Deacon Patrick Whitcomb officiating. Friends may call at the chapel from 1 p.m. Saturday until the time of the service. Burial will take place at St. Mary Cemetery, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
