    Anna M. Hahn, age 85, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at Appleton Medical Center after a short illness. She was born on September 19, 1922, in Niles, Michigan, to the late Richard D. and Beatrice (Conlee) Spencer. She grew up in Lafayette, Indiana, before moving to Appleton, Wisconsin. She met George "Dude" Hahn and they married on August 14, 1948.

    Anna was an active member of St. Therese Catholic Church and a volunteer for most of her life. She was involved in the Christ Child Society and coached Junior bowling at Hahn's Lanes for many years. She spent ten years employed at Tel-Sec. In her later years she was a volunteer at Thompson Community Center and pastoral care at AMC. She always had her knitting needles with her and enjoyed bridge club, sewing club, and first Friday book club.

    She is survived by her husband, George Hahn; daughter-in-law, Denise Hahn and Adrea, Philip and Spencer of Appleton; son, Steven (Paula) Hahn and Annika of Pennsylvania; two daughters: Cathi (Randy) Skuba and Randy Jr., Nicholas and Emily of Pennsylvania; Chris (George) Hamilton and Timothy and Patrick of California; two brothers: Bob (Barbara) Spencer and Al (Margaret) Spencer of Indiana; a sister-in-law, Jayne Quinn of Alabama; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

    Ann is preceded in death by her parents; a son, George; sister, Virginia Sines; two brothers: Richard and Donald Spencer.

    The Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2008, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 213 E. Wisconsin Ave., Appleton, WI. Fr. Bill Hoffman and Fr. Norm Krutzik will be officiating. Visitation at the Valley Funeral Home Sunday, May 11, 2008, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. with a vigil service at 6 p.m. Visitation will be Monday at church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

    In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established in her name,

    Benny Hahn, 80, Neenah, went to Heaven in the arms of Jesus, Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at home with his wife and family at his side. He was born February 20, 1928, in Sheridan, Wyoming, son of William and Marcella (Jacobs) VanDenBerg. Benny married Bernice De Bruin, May 6, 1950, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Kaukauna and celebrated 58 wonderful years. He was employed at Kimberly-Clark Corporation Badger Globe for 42 years prior to his retirement December 12, 1987. He was on the board of directors for Badger Globe Credit Union for 17 years. Benny enjoyed many memorable hours hunting, fishing and bowling. Most importantly were all the family gatherings and holidays where lots of food and laughter were shared. He was a charter member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Neenah. He was an usher of the parish and an adult server for funerals. He was a dedicated Cubs fan. Go Cubs Go! Benny will be sadly missed by his loving wife Bernice of 58 years; five children: Diane (Richard) Frassetto, Oshkosh; Ronnie (Janet) Hahn, Appleton; Linda (Bruce) Mottl, Warrenville, South Carolina; Connie (Kevin) Shea and Cindy (Pete) Lind, both of Neenah; 13 grandchildren: Patti, Rick (Karen), Laura (Ben), Alex, Mindy, Terra, Adam and fiancee, Kaity, Eric (Natalie), Bryon, Melinda, Jolene, Sarah and fiancee Justin and Tiffany; a great grandchild, Ashley; Godchildren: Patti Frassetto and Randy VanDenBerg; sisters- and brother-in-law: Jean De Bruin, West Bend; Eileen Johnson, Appleton, Floyd (Karen) De Bruin, New London He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Phillip and Pauline Jacobs; his parents; brothers Lloyd and John Hahn; a grandson Nicholas Lind, many loving aunts, uncles and in-laws. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, at St. Gabriel Church with Fr. Richard Allen officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Friends may call at the Kessler Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and at the church from 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of the mass. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. Fisherman's Prayer God grant that I may live to fish until my dying day And when it comes to my last cast I then must humbly pray. When in the Lord's safe landing net I'm peacefully asleep that in his mercy I be judged big enough to keep. The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Knaus and staff, Dr. Mariano and the Appleton Cardiology staff, and the nurses on the fifth floor at Theda Clark Medical Center.
