    Pioneer Maple Creek Woman Dies Saturday
    Maple Creek - Mrs. Lena Raeder, 69, pioneer resident of Maple Creek died at her home at 8:30 Saturday evening following an illness of two months.
    She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles Schweitzer of Thornton; five sons, Edward, William, Martin, and Arthur Raeder, all of Deer Creek, and Herman Raeder of Maple Creek; 11 grandchildren; six brothers, Fred Rohloff of California, Julius of Fond du Lac, Edward Rohloff of Mukwa, Herman Rohloff of Oshkosh, August and Henry Rohloff of Maple Creek; and two sisters, Mrs. William Beulow of New London and Mrs. Joseph Miller of Chicago.
    The funeral will be held at the residence at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, followed by services in Christ Lutheran church of Maple Creek. The Rev. Immanuel Boettcher will officiate and burial will be in the old Maple Creek Cemetery.

    Funeral services for Julius H. Roloff who died in the city Friday, were conducted at 8:30 a.m. today from the Geo. M. Dugen funeral home and at 9 a.m. from St. Louis church. The Rev. Amadee Fredette officiated at the church and the Rev. Julian Racettee at the grave in Calvary cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul Richter, Henry Petit, James Beach, Ovits Lephine, W.A. Fisher and John Wiener. Persons attending the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Raymond H.     Obituary:
    Herman A. Roloff, 83, of 420 High Ave., died late Saturday evening in his sleep at home.
    He was born in the Town of Maple Creek on Nov. 23, 1883 and was married there on Nov. 24, 1906 to Anna Knuth, who preceded him in death on Aug. 1, 1956.
    Mr. Roloff farmed in the Town of Liberty until 1929, then came to Oshkosh to be employed by Cook & Brown Co. and Pipkorn Fuel & Supply Co. until retiring 12 years ago. He was a member of Martin Luther Church.
    Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Laverne (Vernetta) Schirmacher, Glen Burnie, Md., Mrs. Edward (Marcella) Schroeder, Mrs. William (Lois) Koepke, Oshkosh, and Mrs. Oscar (Ramona) Knuth. St. Joseph, Mich.; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Martin Lutheran Church, with the Rev. H. O. Kleinhans officiating. Burial will be in Old Maple Creek Cemetery, Outagamie County.
    Friends may call at Konrad Funeral Home Tuesday from 4-9 p.m. The body will lie in state at the church on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the hour of services.

    Mrs. Charles (Mabel) Schweitzer Rt. 2, New London
    Age 77, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Wednesday. She was born September 15, 1897 in the Township of Deer Creek. The former Mabel Raeder was married to Charles Schweitzer on August 26, 1920 and they would have celebrated their 55th wedding aniversary in August of this year. She had lived in Deer Creek area most of her life and 20 years in Shawano County where they farmed. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church of Maple Creek. Survivors include her husband, Charles; two sons, Harold and Franklin both of Rt. 2, New London; four daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Lucille) Strauss of Shawano, Mrs. James (Jeanette) Oashger of Appleton, Mrs. Leroy (Ruth) Peterson, and Mrs. Harlow (Ellen) Reinert both of New London; a brother, William Raeder of Shawano; 21 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Maple Creek with the Rev.Nathan Engel officiating. Interment will be in the New maple Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cline and Hanson Funeral Home in New London after 2 p.m. Friday until 10:30 a.m. Saturday and then at the church until the hour of service.

    Ruth E. (Schweitzer) Peterson, age 89, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017. She was born March 16, 1928, in the Town of Richmond, (Shawano County), daughter of the late Charles and Mabel (Raeder) Schweitzer. She was united in marriage to LeRoy Peterson on March 13, 1948. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1981. She was a long time employee at Hillshire Farms, also a life long member at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London. She loved gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
    Ruth is survived by her children, Dennis (Sharon) Peterson, Waupaca; Donna Wegner, New London; a sister Ellen (Harlowe) Reinert; grandchildren: Abbey Peterson, Ridgefield CT; Kyle (Amber) Peterson, De Pere; Erica Wegner, Little Chute; Alissa Wegner, New London and Ashley Wegner, New London; and a great-grandchild on the way. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Lucille (Al) Strauss and Jeanette (Jim) Oashger and brothers, Harold (Rita) Schweitzer and Frank (Sandy) Schweitzer.
    Funeral services for Ruth will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London with Rev. Marcus Schultz officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Floral Hill Cemetery, New London.
    The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph Residence and Trinity Terrace for all the wonderful care and concern shown to Ruth.
    A memorial fund has been established.

He married Lois Pohlman on December 13, 1948, in New London, WI. He had been a New London area resident all of his life and was formerly employed at Neenah Foundry for 20 years and at the Hillshire Farm Company in New London for 14 years until his retirement. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Sugar Bush.
    He is survived by his wife, Lois; two sons and daughters-in-law; Larry and Elizabeth Roloff, and Ted and Darla Roloff, all of New London; three daughters and two sons-in-law; Sandra and Jack Rasmussen, Fremont; Pamela and Richard Houk, New London; and Jane Roloff, Milwaukee; a sister and brother-in-law: Joyce and David Kalchek, Kewaunee; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
    Funeral services will be on Thursday, January 2, 1992, at 1 p.m. from Grace Lutheran Church, Sugar Bush, with Rev. Fredrick Berger officiating. Friends may call at the Cline-Hanson Funeral Home in New London on Wednesday, January 1, 1992, from 1 until 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
