Obituary:
Marilyn Janet Brouillard, 87, of Appleton, died Monday August 7, 2017 at Carolina Assisted Living, Appleton. She was born June 28, 1930 in Menasha, daughter of the late Melvin and Lillian (Hildebrandt) Hoffman. Marilyn married Donald Brouillard on September 11, 1951. Donald preceded her in death on August 16, 2007.
Marilyn was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Appleton. She loved to cook. Marilyn was a very caring person, always willing to help others.
Marilyn is survived by her three children: daughters, Barbara and Julie Brouillard of Appleton; and son Tom, Appleton; brother, Dick (Patsy) Hoffman, Appleton; seven nieces and nephews: David Hoffman, Peter (Randi) Kessler, Millie Kessler, Mark (Vicki) Kessler, Dani (Maureen) Artez, Maggie Artez, and her God daughter, Angel (Yianni) Nikolopoulos. Marilyn is further survived by her three special angels: Amelia, Miles and Grant. She was further preceded in death by her infant son, David.
Funeral service for Marilyn will be 11:00 AM on Monday August 14, 2017 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Peter Walther officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday morning beginning at 9:00 until the 11:00 AM service. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park.
Marilyn's family would like to extend a special thank you to all of her wonderful friends and caretakers at Carolina Assisted Living, to Kristina and Katie from Theda Care at Home Hospice, and her wonderful neighbors, including cousin Marie Filen, for all of their care and compassion.
