    Florence S. Becker, of Neenah, age 88, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Vallhaven Care Center. She was born March 31, 1922, in Appleton, daughter of the late Wenzel and Mary (Zachow) Sommers. Florence worked at Moon Jewelry Store for 50 years. She loved her Catholic faith and was a former member of Sacred Heart Parish in Appleton and currently was a member of St. Margaret Mary Parish in Neenah. Florence loved to do crossword puzzles and she was an avid reader.
    Survivors include four nieces: Mary (Tim) Hewitt, Carmen (Arnie) Jones, Mary (Jim) Curtain and Margaret Sommers; four nephews: Dick (Patty) Kobinsky, Brian (Therese) Kobinsky, Joe Kobinsky and David Sommers.
    She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters: Adeline, Ceal, Corrine, Helen, Elmer, Oscar, Wenzel and Sonny.
    The Mass of Resurrection will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Neenah, with Fr. Richard Allen officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Appleton.

    David Carl Sommers, age 68, of Menasha, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015, at Oakridge Gardens in Menasha. On July 14, 1947, David was born in Neenah to the late Oscar and Pearl (Gutschow) Sommers. David was a graduate of Menasha High School and later helped out with taking stats for the athletic department. He loved participating at the school and had a lot of Blue Jay Pride! David was a sports fanatic beyond the high school level knowing all of the stats for the college and professional teams. With an incredible mind, David enjoyed learning about local history and was very knowledgeable about railroad facts. He also enjoyed long distance radio listening.
    David is survived by his sister, Kathy (Michael) Boyle; other relatives, and countless friends that have known him over the years who understood the wonderful man he was.
    A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 Broad Street in Menasha. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the church. Interment will take place in Resthaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
    Sincere gratitude needs to be given to the wonderful staff at Oakridge Gardens for their loving care and incredible kindness they have shown to David over the past few years.
