    Obituary:
    Alyce M. Kilsdonk
If you hear a rumbling noise in the sky, that might be Alyce M. [Timmers] Kilsdonk's deep chuckle as she is reunited with family and friends who have passed before her.
Even at 85, resting didn't come naturally, but on Saturday, March 11th, 2017 she finally thought it might be time.
Alyce was born in Appleton, WI to Harold and Julia Timmers. Her big brother Harold (Sonny) and feisty sister Mary kept their little sister on her toes. A life-long resident of the community, she liked to reminisce about all the changes she had witnessed over the years. She described taking the train from Appleton to Milwaukee and riding a horse to the edge of town (now the Darboy area).
Married for over 66 years to her love, Joseph Kilsdonk, she built a deeply content and satisfied life. Her husband, four children and their families were very much the center of her world. Each child brought her love forward through their families. Her first born son Bruce, his wife Darlene and their daughter Angela (husband Sean) - her precious daughter Connie, her daughter Courtney (husband Collin) and great grandson Theo - her son Darryl, his wife Rose and their son Levi and her son G. Joseph, wife Lori and their children Jordan and Emma, all filled her with great pride and joy. They also kept her pretty busy - no one could send a birthday card with more stickers on it than Alyce!
Alyce reveled in the outdoors, camping, reading and visiting with close friends. She shared her compassion by taking care of others. Her role at Kaukauna High School, as a church volunteer and as a provider of Meals on Wheels with Joe for over 16 years, is just a small sample of her giving spirit. However, it may be her baking and cooking which really showed the softer side of her heart. Anyone who was graced with their own tin of cookies, apple cake, fresh baked bread or other warm item from her kitchen knows that this was one special lady.
Her family salutes Alyce and all the blessing she has given us during her great time on this earth. We'll be shooting up more than one fireworks display in her honor. Until then, please join us:
Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sherwood, WI on Sat., Mar. 18. Friends may call directly at the church starting at 11 a.m. Funeral Mass at Noon with lunch following. Boettcher Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family. (920) 766-2099 www.boettcherfamilyfuneral.com
