    Obituary:
    Ron Ecker, age 77, of Appleton, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014. He was born on April 26, 1937, in Appleton, the son of the late Armin and Mary Ann (Dohr) Ecker. Ron worked at the Conway Hotel (now the Radisson Paper Valley) and retired after 35 years of service as a masseuse at the Y.M.C.A. He liked to travel and had a passion for music, especially playing the accordion.
    Ron is survived by his sisters: Becky (Jay) Schwarzenbart of Sheboygan and Terri (Richard) Lemke of Fond du Lac and a brother Anthony (Dawn) Dohr of Elkhart Lake. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his step-father Norman Dohr.
    The funeral liturgy for Ron will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, June 13, 2014 at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 312 S. State Street in Appleton. Fr. Jim Leary, O.F.M. Cap. will be officiating. Burial will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in Stockbridge. The family will receive relatives and friends at the church from 9:00 am until the time of mass.
