    Marcella "Sally" Wegner, 95, Appleton, died Friday, March 4, 2011, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon. Sally was born in Appleton, on April 4, 1915, to the late Anton and Lena (Schmeider) Choudoir. She lived in Appleton most of her life until moving to Ripon to be near her daughter.
    On Sept. 6, 1937, she was united in marriage to Melvin "Bud" Wegner at St. Mary Catholic Church, Appleton. Bud preceded her in death in February of 1969. Sally operated concession stands at Goodland Field in Appleton for 35 years. In her later years, she worked at Peerless Cleaners.
    Sally loved to sing and play piano and sang in the Thompson Community Center Choir. She also enjoyed her casino trips and was an avid bowler. She was a lifelong member at St. Mary Catholic Church, Appleton.
    She is survived by her daughter, Kay (Harry) Olm, Ripon; son, Jerry (Marjorie) Wegner, Elm Grove; ten grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; her brother, Roland Choudoir, Appleton; two sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four brothers, Tony, Gordy, Warren and Harold.
    A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 10, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 S. State St., Appleton, with Father David Funk, OFM Cap officiating. Friends may visit at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Appleton.
    The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Ripon Medical Center for the compassionate care shown to Sally.

    Roland F. "Rollie" Choudoir, age 97, of Appleton, passed away joyfully on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at Bridges of Appleton surrounded by his loving family. Rollie was born August 17, 1917, in Appleton, son of the late Anton and Lena (Schmeider) Choudoir. On February 14, 1942, Rollie was united in marriage to Vernice Dreier. The couple enjoyed 65 years together until her death in 2007. In 1953, he became a member of the United Association of Plumbers and Steamfitters. In 1960, he became business manager for Local 458, now known as Local 400, until his retirement in 1979. Through his efforts and determination, members of Local 400, whom he considered his second family - were able to work with dignity and respect. In 2013, Rollie was inducted into the first class of the Local 400 Hall of Fame. In the mid to late 30's, Rollie could be found playing on baseball and softball diamonds throughout the area. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and hunting. He was active for many years as an usher at his parish, Sacred Heart.
    He is survived by four children: Antoinette "Toni" (Bill) Ellenbecker, Appleton, Kathleen (Jim Wyatt) Clark, Boyce, VA, R. F. John Choudoir, Menasha, and Gregory (Mary Kay) Choudoir, Appleton; ten grandchildren: Russell (Jodie) Ellenbecker, Karen (Mike) Toman, Christine (Butch) Kalmus, Valerie (Dean) Vosters, Peter (Jamie Draheim) Ellenbecker, Jason (Tara) Ellenbecker, Marissa Choudoir, Justin (Megan Sandlin) Choudoir, Christopher (Amanda) Choudoir, and Patrick (Erin) Choudoir; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter and 1 great-great grandchild on the way; 2 sisters-in-law: Leora Hooyman and Joyce Choudoir; and a brother-in-law, Allan Dreier. He is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Vernie, 2 granddaughters, a great-great grandson, 5 siblings: Tony, Gordon, Warren, Sally, and Harold; and many brothers and sisters-in-law.
    A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 am on Friday, September 5, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 222 E. Fremont St., Appleton, with father Brian Wideman officiating. Friends may visit and share their "Rollie stories" from 3 to 6 pm on Thursday at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel and directly at church in the Sacred Heart Room on Friday from 10 until the time of service. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the Fox River Valley Pipe Trades Education Foundation, care of John Choudoir, 737 Jefferson St., Menasha, WI 54952 - or a charity of your choice .
    The family would like to extend a special thank you to Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care of Rollie, and also to all the friends and neighbors who kept an eye on the "Mayor of Garden Court."

    Harold J. Choudoir, Appleton, age 86, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 14, 2008, from Carolina Manor, Appleton. Harry was born March 6, 1922, in Appleton to the late Anton and Magdalena (Schmeider) (sic) of Appleton. On July 13, 1953, he was united in marriage to Ione "Tootie" Woldt. The couple enjoyed 30 years together until her death in April of 1984. Prior to getting married, Harry worked as a Wheelsman for the Merchant Marines on the Pioneer Steamship Line. After marriage, he worked as a concrete truck driver for Schabo Materials. During the evenings, he worked as a projectionist at all of the local theaters in the Fox River Valley. Later in his life, he worked as a dispatcher for Badger Readymix in Green Bay, then finally going into business for himself as a construction and concrete worker, retiring in March of 1984. Harry loved watching sports, especially the Packers and the Cubs, but most of all, he loved spending time with his 5 grandchildren whom he was very proud of. He was a very active member at St. Thomas More Catholic Church for many years.
    He will be dearly missed by his daughter Jeanne (Howie) Hanson of Weston, WI, and their son Gregory: two sons; Thomas Choudoir, of Madison and his children Deana and Alex; and Mike (special friend Misty) Choudoir, of Appleton, and his children Kristen and Eric. A brother Roland Choudoir, Appleton; sister Marcella "Sally" Wegner, Berlin, sisters-in-law; Joyce Choudoir, Stevens Point; Ethelyn Choudoir, Beloit; Joyce Woldt, Waupaca; Arlene Agnew, Appleton; Dorothy Favorite, Appleton; Elaine Plamann, Appleton; and Regina Denow, Racine. Brother-in-law Earl (Diane) Woldt, Appleton. He was further survived by many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three brothers: Tony, Gordon, and Warren, two sisters-in-law; Vernice and Bernice; and a brother-in-law Melvin "Bud" Wegner.
    A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2008, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1810 N. McDonald St., Appleton, with the Rev. Gerald Falk officiating. Friends may visit from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Chapel, and directly at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Parish Prayer Service will take place 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
