    Obituary:
On Thanksgiving Day Genrose K. Gerhartz, born June 20, 1941 to Justin and Tillie Schumacher of Stockbridge, passed away with her family at her side. A family so very, very thankful for the amazing wife and mother that she was! Gen loved sitting by the campfire or watching the Brewers or Packers with her friend and husband of almost 50 years Ed. A husband that cared for her compassionately and completely until the very end in their home, just as she wanted.
Gen and Ed's four children could not have been more proud of the awesome mom that she was. Mom was always willing to help in any way whether it was babysitting, ironing, baking, or just being a terrific listener and friend. It will be extremely difficult to not talk to you multiple times a day about nothing at all mom! Gen adored her eight grandchildren and was extremely proud of each of them. Her greatest joy was seeing them and spending time with them whether it was rocking them as babies, playing play dough as toddlers, or watching a game with them as adults. She wished she could have seen each of them graduate and get married. Gen was blessed with an amazing group of friends, and even when she had little strength to do much else she would never miss a visit with her best friend Marlene on Friday mornings to get her hair done and catch up. There were several members of the Good News Choir that Gen was extremely close to and over the past six years, when her need for an oxygen tank limited what she could do her visits with these friends were a source of great fun and joy. The neighbors that lived next to Gen and Ed over the past 40 years were an extension of their family that made every day brighter. Thank you for your love and support. Pat -Mom, Ruth, and Corky are waiting for you at the picnic table with a cold one. She worked various jobs over the years but she considered the girls at Kim's Place her "work family". Thank you for your endless friendship and thoughtfulness!
Mom loved talking on the phone for hours with Aunt Carol, and in their younger years truly enjoyed the times spent at Clam Lake with family and Lake Matonga camping with neighbors.
Gen is survived by her loving husband, Ed; her sons, Scott (Rhonda) Gerhartz, Clete (Kris) Gerhartz and Tim Gerhartz; and daughter Carrie (Eric) Van Cuyk. She is also survived by grandchildren, Justin, Tyler, Ryan, Mitch and Mikaela Gerhartz and Evan, Bella and Carsyn Van Cuyk; her sisters, Mary Kay Wagner, Carol (Rink) Feldkamp; brother, Chuck (JoAnn) Schumacher; sisters and brothers-in-law, Maxine (Larry) Mankin, Mike (Diane) Gerhartz and Kris (Gene) Funk; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Frank; mother and father, Tillie and Justin Schumacher; mother and father-in-law, Bertha and Frank Gerhartz; brothers-in-law, Paul Wagner, Jim Gerhartz, Jack Gerhartz and Peter Gerhartz; sisters-in-law, Mary Wagner, Sally Mischler and Norine Gerhartz.
Visitation will be held Tuesday November 29, 2011, at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 S. Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 3 p.m. until time of Mass at 5 p.m. The Rev. James Hablewitz will officiate. Committal Holy Name Cemetery. For on-line condolences, please visit www.oconnellfh.com.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the Thedacare Hospice group, Dr. Kroner and his nurse Carol, the doctors and nurses on the 8th floor at AMC, and the close friends that made these last few weeks easier! Marlene, Dan, and Jeannie we would have been lost without you!!!

    Obituary:
Timothy C. Gerhartz, Kimberly, age 46, died the morning of December 13, 2012 in his home with his dad Ed and sister-in-law Rhonda at his side. He was born on June 4, 1966 to Edward Gerhartz and the late Genrose (Schumacher) Gerhartz of Kimberly. Tim graduated from Kimberly High School and worked for Valley Packaging.
He loved sports, especially the teams that were currently winning! In the end, when he could remember little else, Tim could still tell you the Packers stats for the season. He was very outgoing and loved to visit his neighbors near Sidney Street. Thank you to those neighbors for always being welcoming and treating Tim like family.
While Tim was never a stranger to mischief, luck was almost always on his side when it came to winning money. While he surely wasn't dealt the best hand in the game of life, Tim could at least say he trumped the rest of us at this! His favorite places to go were Butch's Pizza, Peerenbooms and Marty's Place. Thank you to the workers of these businesses for always keeping an eye out for Tim - we truly appreciate it.
Tim is survived by his dad, Ed of Kimberly; siblings: Scott (Rhonda) of Hortonville; Clete (Kris) of Sobieski; and Carrie (Eric) Van Cuyk of New London; and nieces and nephews: Justin, Tyler, Ryan, Mitch, Mikaela, Evan, Bella and Carson. They loved Tim very much!
He was preceded in death by his mom, Genrose; brother, Frank; grandparents: Tillie and Justin Schumacher and Bertha and Frank Gerhartz; uncles: Paul Wagner, Jim, Jack and Peter Gerhartz; and aunts: Mary Weyenberg, Sally Mischler and Norine Gerhartz.
A private funeral will be held for Tim at a later date. He will be buried next to his mom at Holy Name Cemetery.
Tim's family would like to extend a very special thank you to the Theda Care Hospice Group, Drs. Kroner, Swanson and Giselle Larson for all that you did to help us understand and get through this final battle that Tim fought so bravely.
Tim, in the game of life you didn't get a very good hand. In the deck there are 52 cards and 2 jokers. I firmly believe your hand had one of these. You will be missed - Love Dad.
Tim, you taught me patience, compassion and what it truly means to put yourself in someone else's shoes. Thank you for teasing me, annoying me, loving me and being a great big brother. Love you Timmer - Love Carebear.
