    Mrs. Robert Hacker
    Mrs. Robert J. Hacker, 70, 119 Elm street, Brillion, died about 9:40 Saturday night at home after a long illness. She was born January 9, 1888, in the town of Brillion. She formerly lived in Forest Junction and came to Brillion in 1942. She is a former Sunday school teacher and church officer of the Evangelical United Brethren church at Brillion. Funeral services will be at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Evangelical United Brethren church, Brillion, with burial in the Evangelical United Brethren cemetery at Forest Junction. Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral home, Brillion, until 10:30 Tuesday morning and then at the church until time of services. Survivors include the husband: two daughters, Mrs. Karl Habeck, Bonduel, and Mrs. Arnold Enneper, Fond du Lac; two sons, Glenn and Ross, both of route 1, Brillion; three brothers, Henry Ott, Enid, Okla., Edward Ott, Granton, and Frank Ott, Menasha; one sister, Mrs. Albert Schubring, route 1. Brillion, and 12 grandchildren.

    Obituary:
    Ross Hacker of Apache Junction, Arizona, went home to be with the Lord on March 3, 2011. Ross was born in Forest Junction, Wisconsin on October 11, 1917, to Robert and Lydia Hacker. He was preceded in death by brothers Robert and Glenn and sisters Ruth and Mary Ann.
    He is survived by his wife, Arline Hacker, four daughters and sons-in-law; Susan and David Flitsch of Gold Canyon, AZ, Constance and Phalen Schuler of Gold Canyon, AZ, Ronda and James Michels of Las Vegas, NV and Marcia and Bradley Woody of Springfield, MO, grandchildren Daniel, Steven, Marlo, Kimberly, Katelyn, Jacob and 11 great-grandchildren.
    Ross married Arline Schmidt on June 12, 1942, and began farming Lone Chestnut Farm, Route 1, Brillion, Wisconsin, raising purebred Ayrshire cattle and Chesterwhite hogs. They were active members of Zion Evangelical United Brethern Church in Forest Junction, until retiring in 1981 to Arizona City, AZ. In 1996 they moved to Apache Junction, AZ and joined Gold Canyon United Methodist Church.
    He held offices in Wisconsin Ayrshire Breeders Association, Midwest Ayrshire Club, World Dairy Expo, Wisconsin Feeder Pig Coop, N.E. Wisconsin Pork Producers Association, Wisconsin Chesterwhite Breeders Association and served as Clerk of the town of Brillion for 16 years. Ross was progressive in his farming technology receiving awards from Wisconsin Dairyman Association, National Ayrshire Constructive Breeder and Wisconsin State Dairy Herd Improvement Associations. He was selected as Calumet County Outstanding Farmer of the Year for his community service and leadership.
    Online condolences may be made at www.wieting-funeralhome.com. A memorial graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. at Forest Home Cemetery in Forest Junction on Friday May 20, 2011. The Rev. Becky Kindshi will officiate. A luncheon will follow at Zion United Methodist Church in Forest Junction.

    CONDUCT SERVICES FOR ROBERT HACKER
    Victim of Skating Accident to Be Buried at Forest Junction (Special to Post-Crescent) Forest Junction - Funeral services for Robert Hacker, Jr., 10 year old victim of a skating accident here Tuesday evening, will be held Saturday afternoon. A brief service at the farm home at 1 o'clock will be continued at Zion Evangelical church preceding the burial. The Rev. E. A. Lau, local pastor, will be in charge. Death occurred Wednesday forenoon at a Green Bay hospital from a skull fracture sustained the previous evening at Longfellow school where a monthly session of the community club was in progress. After lunch had been served, he fell on a small patch of ice on the school grounds where the children were playing. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Hacker, one brother Glen of Madison, a brother Ross, and a sister, Ruth, both at home.
