    Obituary:
    William J. Nack "Papa", age 90, of Menasha, died Monday, August 25, at Theda Clark Medical Center after a short illness. Bill was born in Appleton on July 3, 1924, to the late William and Martha (Kraft) Nack. After attending Appleton High School, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. On November 17, 1945, he was united in marriage to Bernice Hennes at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Appleton. The couple cherished 68 years together. Bill worked as a machinist at Kimberly Clark for 38 years, retiring in 1986. Bill had a true passion for gardening, but most of all, he was a family man and loved spending time with his family. He was a member of Appleton Legion Post #38 and a member at St. Bernard Catholic Church.
    Papa will be missed by his loving wife, Bernice, Menasha; daughter, Connie (Mike) Collins, Appleton; 3 sons: William (Cindy) Nack, Hartland, WI, Gary Nack, Wahpton, ND, and Jeffery Nack, Appleton; 9 grandchildren: Jill, Aaron (Hillary), Beth (Randall), Patti (Ben), Jamie (Tania), Joel (Sarah), Kim (Scott), Josh (Jill), and Courtney; 19 great grandchildren: Samantha, Dillon, Matt, Sam, Seth, Elizabeth, Lilie, Spencer, Lucie, Rory, Aubrey, Liam, Teagan, Ellie, Emily, Connor, William L., Caden, and Molly; daughter-in-law, Gwen; and sister-in-law, Julitta Schwalbach, Menasha. He is further survived by his nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jim, and brother-in-law, Robert Schwalbach.
    The Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11 am on Friday, August 29, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1617 W. Pine St., with Father Dennis Ryan officiating, followed immediately by full military honors performed by Appleton Legion Post #38. Friends may visit at the church on Friday from 9 am until the time of service. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Appleton.
    The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff on the 5th floor at Theda Clark Hospital for their compassionate care given to "Papa".
