Obituary:
Dorothy Lux, age 88, passed away in Madison on October 11, 2014 where she had resided for the past 12 years. On January 9, 1926, Dorothy was born to the late Thomas and Florence Hearden. Dorothy was united in marriage to Charles Lux on May 21, 1946; he preceded her in death.
Dorothy enjoyed reading, writing poetry, and making bookmarks. She loved getting out of the house to go shopping, find rummage sales, and eating out. She also had fun bowling, playing darts, and spending time with her family and friends as much as she could.
Dorothy will be missed by her loving daughters: Kathryn Lux of Madison, Judith Brightman of Appleton and her son, Clint, and his children: Tyler and Makenna; and Debra (David) Strobel of Menasha and her son, Raymond "Scott" (Julie), and his children: Abigail, Devon, and Trenton; her sister, Gerry (Russell) Knaack; and Dorothy's extended family: David Jr., Neil, Elli Mae, Kristin, Justin, and Dakota; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Thomas (Marilyn) Hearden; and her sisters: Eunice (Joseph) Shilling and Judith (Raymond) Gosz.
A Time of Remembrance will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, November 1, 2014, at Wichmann Funeral Home-Laemmrich Chapel, 312 Milwaukee Street in Menasha. A Memorial Gathering will be held from 10:00 am until the Time of Remembrance at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the staff of Oak Park Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Madison for all that they did for mom, the staff at Gunderson Funeral Home in Madison for all their help with arrangements and helping us bring mom home, and finally to the staff at Wichmann Funeral Home-Laemmrich Chapel for helping us with the service and laying mom to rest next to dad.

Dorothy married Lux, Charles 21 May 1946. Charles was born 20 Aug 1921; died 22 Apr 1992. [Group Sheet]
